Trophy List Thoughts?

JaM

Oh look... a trophy list discussion thread...

looking at the Jap version list, it seems that the rarest ones are the gitgud in all mission, skill mastery and collect 'em all trophies... why am I not surprised xD

I actually haven't played a Masou(I still like to call it Masou TBH) Musou game excluding HDN U therefore I couldn't compare it to the Masou Musou games... thoughts?

I want to try this (looks for a demo). But I can see this being on sale at some point this year, cheaper next year. I'm still waiting on Dynasty Warriors Gundam Reborn to go on sale for the cheap. If Dynasty Warriors 7 Empires can go on sale for the cheap ($7-$10 I think when I caught it on sale), then I know Gundam will be cheap as well. Japanese Golden Sale anyone?

EDIT: Found a demo for the PS4 version, but not the PS3 version :( oh well. Guess I'll wait for some reviews then lol

Looks like a normal Masou game list .

Grindy as hell , s rank all missions? all weapons mastery max? collect everything .

im sure this is 100h+ Plat like most Masou games.

You should look the jap list and the first 50 fastest achievers, seem it's more 30-40h than 100h +.

jeah maybe im wrong with 100h+ ... still looks pretty grindy .

But it has not that many charakters than DW games so maybe not to much to collect.

As far as I know it's "Musou"? =D Or it's some new genre? =D

oh.. it is Musou? I thought it is Masou since you know it is for Masochists that don't mind playing missions over and over again xDdamn it Timmy.. you didn't even corrected me even once?  :shakefist:  :shakefist:  :shakefist:

hmmm... so we could assume that it is doable in 30-40 hours? looking at the story related trophies... the story related missions looks very short/few (assuming that they will follow what will happen in anime) so it is just a matter of how grindy getting to level 99 and still mastery... and how RNG plays in the collectibles...

lol... true.. this sounds like a game that will be on sale by the end of the year or something... meh... don't care... might pick up this game on first week since I do love the anime :P

Shana-tan wanted, so she gets it. :awesome:

It's not about being Masou Shoujo :awesome:, it's about being unparalleled (warrior), in godly language, musou =D

So it's musou xD

1. Story mode takes ~7 hours (including watch cutscene and read text) to finish. You can get almost every battle-related trophies without even trying (such as "not getting hit" and finish the battle in 2 mins or less") while playing the story mode on Easy or Normal mode.

2. During the tutorial, you will unlock some battle-related trophies (up to 4) as the objective requirements.

3. There is a hint (list the condition) to collect the recipe book in every scenarios. There are 24 recipes in the games.

4. There is also a hint to collect Limited Skill Card in every scenarios by satisfying specific condition (also must play the game on Hard mode or higher). At least we don't have to collect every card in the game. I think there are 29 Lit. skill cards in this game.

5. You can check your progress of Objective S rank in Gallery mode. Some objectives are pretty tough to get S rank such as deal certain attack chain (combo) on the boss while defeat them within time limit (hopefully, there is a combination of skill card can increase the hit chain). If you can't get the S rank for certain objective during scenarios then you can restart the previous mission to try it again except the last objective which usually requires to defeat the boss since it will end the scenarios.

If the objective has 2 conditions, you must get S rank on both conditions in order to get S rank for that objective

  • 1 S + 1 S = S
  • 1 S + 1 A = A
  • 1 S + 1 B = A

You can achieve S rank for every objective in Free Mode by using the character of your choice. The best result (S rank) will replace A rank or below.

6. Maximum Mastery for all weapons => keep using every weapon => grind

Currently, there is a release celebration campaign (Feb 9 - Feb 15), you will receive 1.5x the amount of Gold and EXP during the battle, also the chance to get good results in synthesizing skill cards is pretty high.

Edit: Just got S rank trophy :), it's not too hard as I thought. There are 49 stages in total (including tutorial stages).

  • Play the game on Easy mode. Yes, easy mode since you need to have certain amount of kill counts while finish the objective within time limit so Normal mode or higher will take time to kill the enemies.
  • If the condition requires to deal certain chain hit (combo) on the boss in 1 vs. 1 battle. You should play this mission on Hard mode and use Bow for more combo since it deals 3 hits per attack and also can keep attacking the boss even he is knocked down. I rarely use Bow/Crossbow in Warriors series, however, bow is extremely useful in this game. There is a skill called Illusory Sword which makes "CHAIN takes longer to end", you should look for the card which has this skill. Limited skill card Tahir Kishward also has this skill.
  • Use Bow as primary weapon when you need to kill certain amount of enemies while there is no horse in specific stages.
  • Abuse Interim Save when you start the next objectives because you can't redo some objectives since they are considered as one mission
  • Max out one character and equip Boosting Attack skill cards on him/her. I prefer Arslan because he can use 3 different weapons, and his special skill can boost chain hit and has wide-range attack.
  • In Escorting missions, just kill the captain, general, or any enemies have a title only on your way since other team members will advance to next destination without killing the regular enemies which will save a lot of time for S rank.
  • Use Mardan Rush a few time to boost kill count before finish it. If you are in a situation which there is not enough enemy for S rank, you should go back to previous areas since it may trigger the Mardan Rush because it appears randomly.
  • Try not kill the enemies when you don't have objective because the next objective may require you to kill certain amount of enemies; therefore, save them for later.

For the Maximum Mastery for all weapons trophy, you need to kill ~6650 enemies (Easy Mode) to get maximum mastery for one weapon. I suggest you to play the stage Escape from Atropatene in Free mode (Extra 1). This stage has unlimited amount of enemies so you can get enough kill count, you can also use the Mardan Rush (cavalry) to kill the enemies but make sure you equip the weapon you want to boost (it doesn't matter if the characters use their primary weapon while riding on horseback). This Mardan Rush is a story's requirement so you can use it as many times as you want unless you clear the 1st objective. Camp at one of 3 exits on the South of the map, the enemies will come out from there. There are 34 weapons in the game, so if it takes you 25 mins to max one weapon then have fun to grind in ~14 hrs :P.

Note: The kill count is still the same as Easy mode's when you play the stage on Hard mode; therefore, don't bother to play higher difficulty unless you want more challenges. You can use other attack type to grind Maximum Mastery as long as you equip the weapon which you need to boost:

  • Attack the enemy while riding on horseback
  • Use Mardan Rush
  • Unique Skill
  • Special Move

Please take note that there is a time limit in this game, you have 30 minutes to fulfill every objective, otherwise, game over. To maximize the opportunity to master more weapons, you should try to max the 1st weapon during the 1st objective, then make an interim save to grind the 2nd weapon until you have 1-2 minutes left. Clear the 1st objective to trigger the 2nd one which gives you 30 more minutes to finish this stage. Go back to previous area (1st area) to kill more enemies, if you are lucky, then a Rush Zone is available in front of middle exit on the South of the map which you can use Mardan Rush to speed up the grinding. The Rush Zone appears at random location, however, it tends to be available at that location most of time if you head to middle exit from 2nd area (where the 2nd objective triggers). Keep grinding until you have 3-4 minutes left then clear the stage.

Here is the list of objective which you need to do certain task to satisfy the condition to get Limited Skill Card. Please check in-game hint to know the condition.

I only have 2 weapons left to grind (it will take ~1 hour) to plat this game

  1. Main Story: 7 hours (include watching cutscene and reading text, Easy Mode)
  2. Side Story: 6 hours (use the default characters for specific stage to unlock their extra weapon to save time, Easy Mode)
  3. Recipe Books: 4 hours (redo the story-related stages in Free mode to get the recipe, Easy Mode)
  4. Objective's S Rank: 10 hours (focus on the objective which I haven't achieve S rank, Easy Mode)
  5. Limited Skill Card: 7 hours (ignore everything, just focus on specific objective to satisfy the requirement, Hard mode)
  6. Weapon Mastery Grinding: 14 hours (depending on characters' moveset, Easy Mode)

------------------
Total: ~ 48 hours

Step 1 and 3 can be combined in order to save time, so I think it may take ~43 hours

Just collect info (questions and answers) from my thread on gamefaqs then post it here in case someone has same questions:

1. Skill Card in Schemes of Hodir: the time limit and distance between enemies make this impossible for me, especially when the game constantly interrupts with forced views that can't be skipped and don't pause the goddamn timer. I've a max level, max weapon level, Arslan with the best skill cards, and using attack enhancing food, still cannot kill 20 people in the time limit. Any suggestions?

_ You need to know which route/path you should go in order to kill more enemies. Video below shows you how to kill 21 enemies within time limit. Note: since I already have the card, so the game doesn't allow me get the same one even I fulfill the condition.

Arslan (Max Level, Max Weapon, No Enhancing Food, just basic skill set: the battle for Narsus)

2. S Rank: Infiltrator at Peshawar: 3rd objective. This is the last S rank I need and it seems flat our impossible. The chain requirement for that third objective is at least 400, in a stage where you fight as few enemies as possible.... Again, using max Arslan, with and without food, best I've gotten is a B and I've been trying the level over and over for two days.

_ When the stage starts (before the 1st objective begins), you need to destroy the box in the storehouse to get 1 SP gauge, there is a SP gauge recovery next to Alfarid fight as well. Before you head to 4 "witnesses"' location during the 3rd objective, you will see a group of soldiers come at you (Note: if you see them before 3rd objective starts, do not attack them until this objective is available).

Use Bow to attack them once or twice then use Arslan's special move to get at least 300 Chains for S rank (not 400 chains as you thought), then head North to kill 4 witnesses and defeat Elam to complete this stage. You can use Tahir Kishward (limited skill card) for the skill "Chain takes longer to end"

3. Skirmish at Gujarat Fortress' Limited Skill Card: K.O. The reinforcements in 3 minutes, I don't quite understand who to kill?

_ The enemy whom you need to defeat is the General. He spawns as a reinforcement close to your location where you finish the 2nd objective and then tend to run towards the boss character. You can check battle log to know where the reinforcement is.

4. Siege of the Keep of Saint Emmanuel's Recipe Book: How can I find the recipe?

_ When the 5th objective - Defeat the reinforcements! starts, you need to defeat 3 required Generals in front of the fortress to clear this objective, then kill all generals inside the fortress (1st area where you use the archers to destroy the catapult). Basically, just kill all Generals from outside and inside the fortress, the recipe book appears at the same area (1st area). You can get this recipe book during objective 5 or objective 6 - Defeat Sam! as long as it's Kubard's mission.

Note: you don't have to use Kubard to make this book available. Make sure your allies (generals and captains) are still alive when you kill the enemy generals.

5. Across Enemy Lines' Recipe Book: Which tower exactly am I supposed to go after?

_ Ignore the towers in the 1st area where the 1st objective - Defeat Zandeh! starts. It's the 4th tower in the 2nd area where you do the 2nd objective - Break through the barrier using a Mardan Rush!. This tower has 5-6 enemies, after you kill them then you have to wait for a while for the recipe appears next to the tower's ladder.

6. Duel Before the Gods' Recipe Book: It says you have to defeat a certain archer unit during your escape. I was on the look out for every archer unit and still didn't get it. Anyone help?

_ It's the last group of archers at the last area (on the wall) before jump down to the ground during the 3rd objective - Go around the arena and through the castle walls to reach the South Gate!

7. The Reluctant Guardian's Limited Skill Card: It says to kill all ambushers in 5 minutes. where do I find them?

Unlike recipe book, the game doesn't allow me to collect the same limited skill card even I finish the requirement since I already have it; therefore, I can't double check it  .

Assume this is the map of this stage (1), (2), and (3) are objectives

(North Exit)
______|_(3)_____
____________ /
___________ /
___________/
__________/____(2)
| (1) |
| (South Exit)
Starting Point

I don't remember the recipe book's location. If it locates in front of North Exit, so the skill card locates on diagonal path (/) where I defeat the general/captain enemies. I think the general with Shield system is the key to trigger the ambush, however, they tend to head to South Exit and leave the battle field if Arslan moves to Northeast quickly.

On the off topic, I don't intend to make a trophy guide or supplement thread. If anyone is writing a Guide then feel free to use this info, just give the appropriate credits if needed :).

sounds really... grindy...

It's not that bad. Depending on character's moveset and fighting style you can master one weapon in 15-25 mins, you can also use Mardan Rush in case certain character has slow and ineffective moveset which can't kill a lot of enemies at once. But I take 25 mins as a base time, so 34 weapon will take ~14 hours. At least it doesn't have stupid bonding (spouse/sibling stuff) trophy like the one in DW series

Just plat the game :). It's actually pretty short amount of time to plat for a Warrior game imo. If the players can do everything in 1 playthrough then I guess it takes 35 hrs or less to plat it.

It's time to go back to One Piece PW 3

grats to the plat... ^_^ just started it earlier and currently starting to get used with controls...

oh...btw.. with regards to the Brother-at-Heart.. is it possible to do it solo or do I really need to play with other players online with this one? the "or cooperative play" is somehow confusing me...

Thanks :)

As long as you have 2nd controller or a PS Vita then you can unlock this trophy without using online mode.

err..... noob q... how to be exact? is it still via Online Mode?

just finished the story mode... lol.. I do have a loooot of things that still I need to do... I knew it...the game being generous of giving lots of bronze at the beginning is too suspicious xD

No, it's just offline mode. When you pick a stage in free mode, just press a button from 2nd controller (maybe touchpad or option button, I forgot it :P). Pick a short stage such as fighting against masked "hero" to speed thing up.

In case you use a Vita, choose remote play to play the game as main acct, then press PS button on ps4 controller to sign in as a guest or sub-acct. I believe this trophy will be unlocked on both acct when you finish the stage; therefore, just use the guest acct if you don't want to see this game on sub-acct's profile.

Take your time to enjoy grinding :P.
