With July's end and a late update due to reasons... let's see how July went for everybody while August is almost half over...

Dragon finally making progress so guess we now know he is alive since we all worried after no progress after a day we surely thought he had died possibly due to Sumanai but those claims are unfounded with no spooks to report and with other people disappearing and reappearing at times it really hard to tell. Anyway with Dragon alive or at least in a undead state we know he is still in it but can he make a turnaround with Prinny getting URs. J2V back on rapidfire and Shana being a bit inconsistent at current, let's have a look.

Earning a few URs, earning a lot of easys or just getting back into earning trophies the effects on the scores are interesting:

1. J2V89 - 2162.17
2. Wdjat Prinny Doods - 1,630.27
3. Kochiya Shana - 1,606.55
4. Dragon Archon - 808.61

The changes in scores are interesting with @Shana Alter and @Wdjat Prinny Doods being very close now at current they have a comfortable lead over the ailing @Dragon-Archon but are still behind @J2V89. Anything can happen with the scores at current depending on what each has planned or any games they are waiting for although with Prinny fighting to get prinnys known to be not birds and Shana having personal reasons as well as participating in Holy Grail Wars will this affect their progress?

Dragon made some decent progress but he really needs to dig into the rarer games and possibly the shorter games to catch up while J2V can easily take a nap for a month currently it would seem.

With the penguin/Prinny earning URs as his main source of points will he be able to keep up and maybe win or will he eventually hit a wall in difficulty, time, glitches or will his campaigning efforts to get prinnys classed as not birds be what takes most of his time causing him to fall behind?

J2V has kept a good pace but with so many games started and not having much progress will he eventually just start up games play a bit and not platinum them allowing the others to pass him and win or will he actually just start focusing on finishing more games than he starts as to keep his lead?

Dragon having earned some platinums in his possible undead state has made some progress but can he increase his earning and build his treasure hoard or is he going to end up falling behind with a small pile of platinum and mainly have gold, silver and bronze but not enough to lure dragon hunters and treasure hunters as to stay healthy but cost him the race?

Shana needs to get through her plan in order to really put up much of a fight but will she stick to the plan or will she claim to have a plan, deviate from it and lose only to claim everything went to plan despite the major fail?

 

Also please remember to vote that prinnys are birds after all they are penguins just in the Netherworld.

Glad this is over, between the boring 100 mp matches, trolling servers, and about 15 hours worth of replaying the same chapter and killing enemies for the sake of 1 lousy bronze trophy, my enjoyment rating of this game took a huge hit. Oh and of course the cutscenes and credits couldn't be skipped either. Luckily, the mp matches could be done with bots in Botzone. So yeah, UR plat #20, yay.

I was looking in my old "bird book" and could not find this thing you call a "Prinny." I've also never read anything about explosive birds except for app games... Clearly fictional.

 

I always imagined they were like stuffed animals laced with explosives... It's cooler that way.

 #162 Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book

This is my first Atelier game and I tried to play it as a regular JRPG.... which didn't work out so well at times  . The synthesis system took a long, long time to get used to. The Doll Making feature was an interesting concept and that allowed a partymember to become pretty OP with certain combinations. The Demon Lord boss was a real challenge to defeat, as that required lots of material farming and synthesis.

A very fun game set in Japan a few hundred years ago. Demon blades slowly corrupt their wielders and cause them to slaughter anything in their path. Over the course of the game you play as 2 characters and uncover their story. These 2 characters play exactly the same and I would've preferred it if each of them had a unique skill or ability. Fury mode wasn't as hard as expected, only the bosses were challenging, though the random lightning bolts and falling rocks during the final bosses killed me lots of times. After Fury, the speedrun trophy was a joke. Took my time exploring and fighting every fight and still managed to beat it in 2 hours and 31 minutes. I also like the art style and ost a lot, especially the part that starts at 0:50 in the video below.
