New update for DLC rarities is great but I still needs one more tweaking to get closer to perfection: Free DLCs. Every game owner has them so they should count for everyone as well, regardless if they actually play the addition content or not. 

 

Some rules that I think that are necessary to make the list fair:

  • Additional content being avaiable to the majority of the site (at least NA and majority of europe. sorry asia :()
  • Trophies being obtainable/content still being possible to be acquired
  • All games listed here are counted as a new purchase, so any content that comes with a new copy (online passes per example) are counted.
  • CANNOT Content only being free in certain regions (RDR, MGR:R, AC:B fall in this category)

 

Category 1 - Content patched into the game from launch:

  1. Batman: Return to Arkham - Arkham City PS4 (all DLC packs)
  2. Bioshock 1 PS4 (all DLC packs)
  3. Bioshock 2 PS4 (all DLC packs)
  4. Bioshock Infinite PS4 (all DLC packs)
  5. Dead Island PS4 (all DLC packs)
  6. Dishonored Definitive Edition (all DLC packs)
  7. Driveclub ([Tour] DLC pack)
  8. Gravity Rush Remastered (all DLC packs)

  3. Driveclub Bikes ([EBR] DLC pack)

Category 4 - Content added through codes gained with from a new purchase & episodical games that need to download the next invididual episodes from the store:

  2. Batman: Arkham City ([Catwoman] DLC pack)
  3. Batman: Arkham Knight ([Harley Quinn Story Pack] and [Scarecrow Nightmare Missions] DLC packs)
  4. Furmins (all DLC packs)

  5. The Walking Dead: Season 2 PS3 (all DLC packs)

  6. The Walking Dead: Season 2 PS Vita (all DLC packs)

  7. The Walking Dead: Season 2 PS4 (all DLC packs)

 

If anyone else knows more, please post here so I can update the list. It's not right to add to the list games that had DLC free for a certain ammount of time (Battlefield games) or exclusive to one region (other 2 RDR dlc packs/MGR:R dlcs). Anything in this list should be avaiable either to everyone or at least the majority of this site users. If an exclusive region list has free dlc, it can be counted too.

 

Whenever this addition is implemented, this thread could get pinned so future games with free DLC could be posted here and quickly tweaked as well.

 

Games that need confirmation or more information:

  • episodical games
  • any ps4 remaster not mentioned

 

Final note: If you are going to list a game here, please inform which DLC packs are free (informative links could also be provided to back your claim as well) and provide the link to its trophy list, because it helps me a lot when adding them to the list.

More like the opposite, trophies for free DLC aren't as rare as they are supposed to be. Everyone that has the game has access to them at no extra cost. Working on them or not is an option, just like

Mirror's Edge DLC isn't free, although I agree that the 90 stars trophy being more common than the 50 stars trophy is utter nonsense.

I don't remember ever posting about free DLCs, my stance is that all DLC should include all game owners :P

Anyway, other free DLCs that I can think of:

 

Rise of the Tomb Raider (all of them)

The Witcher 3 GOTY (all of them)

The Witcher 3 Complete Edition (all of them)

Middle-Earth Shadow of Mordor GOTY (all of them)

Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition (x3) (all of them)

Assassin's Creed Unity (the only one - Dead Kings)

Borderlands 2 and Pre-Sequel (via Handsome collection) (all of them)

Borderlands: Game of The Year (all of them I think?)

Rocket League (I think) - If I'm not mistaken, aren't all of the DLC's free?

It's Mainland China, not Japan. But yeah. Free DLC should be based on base game owners.

 

TT's game info team marks them manually, but I don't think Sly wants a big team working on them. We usually get new ones done pretty quickly, but there's a backlog from before it was a priority so they're not all correct yet.

All of them on my list are free. I didn't buy any.

Yeah, I'm gonna count that and the catwoman dlc for Arkham City too. The list is considering you have all content from a brand new purchase, just like online passes for base game platinum. Thanks for the info

It's different because you can't have the witcher 3 goty version trophy list without having all DLC, but you can have those games lists you mentioned without having the other DLC (otherwise I would have to literally add all GOTY versions to the list, including batman). Minecraft works, I think. All of it is free, isn't it?

Yeah, all of the minecraft dlc is added via updates to the game

Episodical games with shitty lists where episode one is the whole base game and the aditional episodes are DLC can also be added. Only recall TWD S2 at this very moment.

I believe I've added all user-mentioned games to the list, I'm thankful for all and any input. Added a small to-do list at the bottom, if anyone else wants to contribute, I'll appreciate and add the games as soon as I can. I'll do my best to keep all these listed games updated, so if any "all current DLC" games gets more dlc that isn't free, please post here and I'll update.
