Popular Post bladesoframen
Since the game is fairly undocumented/ leaves a lot for you to learn, I thought it might be useful for people to document what they learned from playing the game so far. If you have info to share, please do, or if you have questions, ask and hopefully someone will have an answer. Mission Ratings: Defense: This is not based on how many times you defend or perfect guard. It is based on how much hp you lost in a battle, so if you finish a fight fast and take little damage because of that, you'll get a high defense rating (S rating does require you to have lost fairly little health) Getting S rank is not exactly easy in the beginning and it is much easier to get evolved characters first and then come back to an easy mission to get your S rank. Same applies to combo. Combo is a lot easier with endgame spells and deathblows, so don't worry too much about it early game. Perfect Guard: Despite what the game says about Perfect Guard, there is a large delay between when you need to press the guard button and when you get the perfect guard popup. Luckily most enemies have a small flash that says when to guard, but this is also sometimes misleading because it is not always the right time to guard. Mjolnir (some attack where he raises his hammer and then swings it) - guard when the Hammer hits its peak Menrva (attack where he moves his dagger to his chest before striking) - guard when the dagger touches his chest (it shines) (attack where he has a large overhead windup) - guard when his arm reaches the 3 o'clock position (it shines) One Life: If you lose a mission, then you have to start over again from the tutorial. However, you can easily use backup saves (through online or usb) to get around this. On top of that, the game doesn't save until you finish a stage or lose a level, so if you quit the game mid level (about to die) and restart afterward, you'll start back on the world map before that mission. Other Notes: Truth From Fiction, is a quest that starts if you make a bad decision on one of the southern missions. It has to deal with spreading propaganda to tackle an issue. ============ I'm sorry there isn't much here right now, but I hope to keep expanding it until a proper guide is made. xxdmcgee2288xx
Thank you very much for this!! Keep it up if you can.. play the vita version is superior imho.. I have much more fun on it and I'm actually naturally better on the handheld version for this game (which is odd, it's usually the other way around).. Was wondering how to open up those side quests.. I played very safe on my first play through as it was on one life mode and the learning curve was a little tough with some of the bosses on the first go's.. especially the crazy martial artist lady.. Awesome! Congratz on the plat Sorry I haven't been updating the thread at all. I haven't gotten in the mood to play the game recently, but I'll probably come back for the plat soon and compile all the information then. Hello, What do you mean by "cleric" choices ?
Maitre
Well after you start the ruined city levels near the end. You will get 5 or 6 events related to clergy stuff.

Edunstar84
I need help with Menrva. I get really close, but am unable to withstand her onslaught in the end. Tried watching videos, but it doesn't seem like I get the same response/actions.

Edunstar84
Just need 4 more deathblows: Zulfiqar, Longinus, Apollon and Mjolnir. Going on my third playthrough. Anybody have any real answers for getting them? Otherwise I might have to do 5 playthroughs. Should've stuck with my choices the first time, but wasn't sure about the effects. Okay, 3rd playthrough I guess I'll only choose Council of Princes. EDIT: I'm also wondering how I can survive a battle with only Cecille. I've tried many times, but not sure where I can do this successfully. Edited November 8, 2017 by Edunstar84

To win a battle with only Cecille, fight a boss and get the boss down the healthbar needed to be killed by one set of fireballs (you could run 2 fireballs with a heal tossed in to make it easier). Then simply let your party die and rap it up nice and easily. Remember, if you die on a boss, you retry on the boss itself, so it is pretty easy to try a few times.

Edunstar84
Just got the trophy for master many deathblows. I didn't need to get all of them, just 4 of them including Osmond the Wyvern. Don't remember what I did to get him. I only have small pieces of info regarding the game. Unfortunately, it's not enough to write out a guide. Edunstar84
Got the plat today! Was a bit worried at the end of my One Life Mode run - I can verify that choosing only Council of Princes does get you Mjolnir's deathblow, but I think I got it at almost at the end. Possibly several areas before the last dungeons. Cassandra's Lunacy saved me a lot, and the only trophy that gave me grief was surviving a battle with Cecille alone. It can be done during the first boss battle with the dragon. His attacks aren't too fast, which took me a while to figure out. Tried doing it with the horned axe monster and Menrva. Yes, actually you have to: Decision: Follow the margrave sneaking into the princess' room+ Unlocks Sylene Academy+ Unlocks Werewolf Boss+ Unlocks Winchester's (gun girl) 3rd deathblow I found out that it shows up different times during my playthrough, but not sure if Sylene Academy shows up. Got it from gamefaqs, and it works. Edited November 10, 2017 by Edunstar84

You might have to fully support the Placidus soldiers in their effort against Manse as well. I can't guarantee it though. I got it on my 1st playthrough, and my choices were all over the place. I don't think that is 100% correct as I've chosen pure March Congress choices twice now and I have not been able to save Mardeki. You're probably not giving all the details on your choices as the NPC whom you speak to in Mardeki mentions reasons why the Pox was not cured; again, all my choices were pure March Congress and got zip as a result. Plague Prevention Fund → Hospital Wing Import → Herbs Quarantine → Sick Soldiers Edited November 17, 2020 by x410xDragon Added details.
Ranari_Kai
Does anybody here have a working strategy for unlocking Sylene Academy? Its the only trophy which I am missing. Using the tips here and on Gamefaqs I tried getting the trophy unsuccesfully through two playthroughs. I always supported Dominicus and at the coice where the margrave is sneaking into the princess' room I choose follow. But the game always tells me that the margrave is bringing some instrument to Fort Monomith or something and the academy is not unlocking. EDIT: Found a solution: Just choose always the red choice troughout the game. Sylene Academy unlocked after defeating the minotaur.
