I loved that grind I've been hoping for a remake to the ps4 before the second one is released. But seems like I'm out of luck.

The graphics and music is amazing. I so envy people playing it for the first time!

Been a really long time since I last updated. Finished both Psycho pass and Guardians of the Galaxy. Did not really care for Psycho pass, but got through it. I went on a trip and got a vita from a friend so I played a lot of games not on my list. Honorable mentions completed during the trip/challenge:

Been away for the last week so yesterday was the first time in a a while since I got to play video games.  Made some more progress on Valkyria Revolution, but I am still on the initial play through.  To e honest I really am not impressed with this game, which is a shame because I loved the original.

More progress on Valkyria Revolution.  Completed the story mode now it is just the grinding trophies: Upgrade all main weapons, upgrade all secondary weapons, spend 300,000 at the shop, S rank on all story missions, 100 free battles, platinum).  I was hoping to complete Valkyria Revolution before Monday, but I have my doubts now.

I admit, I might be a bit spoiled as far as game soundtracks go because I discovered Falcom games way back in the 90s.  Those have amazing soundtracks.  Ni no Kuni's is good and up there in quality, but just pales in comparison to amazing soundtracks like Ys Seven and Trails in the Sky the 3rd.  I do like the graphic style though.  They do a nice job without going incredibly fancy and graphics like that will age very well.  But then games with anime or cartoon style graphics do tend to age far better than games with realistic graphics.

 

I'm not that far in the grind yet, but just looking at what I have to do, it doesn't seem too bad.  But keep in mind I got the Sorcery Saga plat and I have yet to find a game with a worse grind than that plat, at least on PSN.  Arguably some of my Steam 100%s could be worse (maxing all jobs in FF3 comes to mind), but PC has the advantage of me being able to make auto-grinding scripts for some of the more obnoxious stuff that I can leave running overnight and let it get those rare drops, levels or kills while I sleep.

Back on the trophy grind and started on Demon's Souls. I'm enjoying it so far. I've played through Dark Souls several times, having done all the achievements on PC and most of them on Xbox. I tried Dark Souls II on PC but couldn't really get into it. Demon's Souls is definitely a lot better than DS2. I'm excited to finish grinding out this plat. It's also got me excited to try out Bloodborne sometime, too.

 

This week is also my last week at my current job, so I should be picking up the pace during my funemployment period while I look for a new one.

Made a bit of progress in Sora no Kiseki FC Evo and am now on chapter 3 of my normal low level run since I'm aiming to beat the game at level 40 or lower and that's over halfway and I'm not even at level 20.  Also made good progress in the post game grind in Ni no Kuni.  Only have two more items to make with alchemy for the trophy, but I need to farm kaleidostones and scrolls of truth which are rare drops/steals from monsters that don't spawn much.  I also still need to beat the Solosseium at S rank, which is kicking my butt, and to tame 250 different species of familiars and I only have like 165 or so.

 

Edit: Alchemy done!  Really got lucky on the kaleidostones and scrolls of truth and it only took about 2 and a half hours of farming, more of it spent trying to get the darn things to show up over getting the drops.  Now all that is left is taming more familiars and beating S rank in the Solosseium and I have the Ni no Kuni plat.

I don't think i'm able to complete all the games within the challenge time anymore, that GTA V dlc came out of nowhere and took up a lot of time. But now as i'm done with that and the FFXV dlc, i'm ready to continue. Haven't updated my post in almost a month now i think.

Fourth update, not a big update, but managed to get a few in LEGO Star Wars, sadly the game crashed on me one so missed one trophy, will be easy to get later though. Got my finals in two days and after that the study-hours should be fewer for a while, meaning more time for gaming. Yay!

Finally got the Ni no Kuni plat!  Hilariously my last trophy was the one for beating S Rank in the Solosseum because that was actually the only one that gave me trouble, not the alchemy one like most people.  In the process of leveling familiars though, I got to level 99 and was able to tackle it, though it was a pretty close call with me being out of MP across the board and low on HP as well.

 

And I also made a tiny bit of progress in Sora no Kiseki FC Evo with tackling a few of the battle related trophies.  Nothing big deal, but it's out of E rank hell now at least.

 

Next up is Final Fantasy XIII.  I had put that one aside for a bit once I got it up to a D rank because I was more interested in playing Ni no Kuni so with that plat down it's time to go back to the other grindy plat on my list.

Got the Plat in Demon's Souls! Luckily the Pure stones didn't take too long to grind for. Bladestone took about 2-3 hours (and about half of that I wasn't in PBWT because I forgot that killing the Black Phantom brought it back up to neutral), Darkmoonstone was about 2 hours, and Moonstone I happened to find from accidentally killing a lizard progressing through 4-2.

 

Tomorrow I'm heading out to visit my mom for a week and I'm only bringing the PS4, so I'll probably finish Crash 2 and start on Transistor and/or Crash 3. I've also got some other PS4 games that I may work on that were above 20% completion already.

MeiQ Labyrinth Of Death. You can have everything in the game done except for kills/outfit levelling in about 1/3 the required kills (some guardian parts open later but those are fixed in line with kills benchmarks). I ground early on to save some pain later on but I finished the 30k kills trophy only to discover that I still had to grind another 2000 battles to max out the forms (outfits) for the main character. I've done Sorcery Saga as well and it has nothing on the mindless end grind of MeiQ.

So, I've finally hit another completion in Rain. Felt like a pretty simple game with most solutions presenting themselves fairly obviously. I still enjoyed it though and can definitely advocate the collectibles when you can drop in at any check point.

Also enjoying South Park a lot at the moment. Currently fighting Red Wine Drunk Randy and having some trouble keeping Captain Diabetes alive but thoroughly enjoyable so far.

 

Hopefully make some progress with Wolverine now and I've actually just started Undertale (bought in Jan sales) as Hotline Miami isn't gripping me at the moment.

Fifth update!

Nearly done with Cities: Skylines. One of the trophies is impossible to track how much I got left so I have no idea when it will be completed. But hey. Must happens sooner or later. The other one requires some focus but should be fine to grab it. 

 

Been playing a lot of Witcher 3. Not that many trophies yet but damn I'm enjoying the game. (Except that it keeps crashing on me all the time.)

 

Back to school tomorrow but mostly got stuff to do from home so hopefully will be able to grab a few more trophies this week.
