You can transfer Warthog to digital, though. It's glitched. Still you would need to do every kill / win with one version. That's definitely true.

So what if he deletes the save, will Warthog be gone? Is it saved up on the server?

Yes, playing a single game (you may even just need to log into the server once) will let you have access to warthog from that point on.

 

Once you start getting kills you shouldn’t switch, kills are saved on the local save, and the two aren’t compatible. The server does register your overall total kills from both versions, but the trophy pops based on what’s your local stats.

 

Ie, if you get 50 kills with warthog on the disc, then switch to the digital for 50 with everyone else, the stats online will say 50 for everyone. However, one save file will be missing 50 for warthog, the other 50 for everyone else.

 

If you haven’t started online, the best bet is to just keep using the disc for this, and use digital with your alts.

 

Same thing occurs with game maps/modes.

 

@POEman553 try getting 50 more kills with warthog on the digital version.

Warthog being unlocked is linked to the PSN ID, even on a different game save the vehicle is selectable in menu during vehicle selection screen. 

All the kills/maps/modes have to be under the same game save whether its physical or digital. 

Also stats need to be tracked manually due to trolls joining/leaving & connection problems...the Google Doc mentioned in the other thread is super helpful coz the Profile's Statistics page is kinda meaningless since it shows both ranked and unranked kills & wins. Matches pretty much become unranked when someone dcs or leaves when it comes to kills #s even though the wins will increase & count for the daily 30 days win if game is TDM or LMS & host got 1 kill in.

This article is interesting https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2018/10/sony-breaks-its-own-promise-on-warhawk-server-shutdown-timing/ the reddit page for Warhawk has ppl recently talking about how there's 58 days left until Warhawk shuts down. So maybe TM has 58 days left too, who knows...weird Starhawk couldn't get extended...
