The same save file but different regions

I want know if is possible know in advance if the save file of a game is region locked or not.

For example: Horizon New Dawn shares the same save file between region 1 and 2, but Crash N.Sane trilogy not.

The game i want now if save file is shared between region 1 and 2 is Enter The Gungeon.

Need evidence of this. Tried doing it and didn't work. It should never work for any games between europe and america. It can happen sometimes between america and asia though.

I somehow ended up renting an Australian copy of Horizon Zero Dawn. When I tried a UK version, the save wouldn't work at all, and it was considered a different game by the system. And they're both released under Sony Europe.

 

So I have my doubts about European and American versions being compatible

Games that store progress on the server side might work. Only plat I have done multiple times (and wanted to access my old "save") is PUBG. There my character and cosmetic stuff carried over from EU to US version but trophy progress for kills etc. however did not.

Usually it does not work in all the games I've played. I've not come across a game where two different regions shared a file, they all seem to be considered separate games even if the trophy list is shared

HZD doesn't even share save files between base game and complete edition.

It does, just not in Latin America.
