Popular Post PLamb858
PLamb's Platinambs Bio: I've been playing video games for as long as I can remember. When I was a kid, my family owned the original Nintendo. I loved playing games like Techmo Bowl and Blades of Steel and stuff and my family. As games continue to get better and better, it's hard for me to imagine a day when I will give them up and "grow up". I almost never get into TV shows and I usually find them boring. It's the interactive aspect of video games that draws me in and holds my attention. As for what kind of games I like, I think you get a good idea by looking at my platinums below. Now for trophy hunting. My main reason for doing it is I like to beat challenges. I like to get platinums because it means you have beaten most, if not all, of the challenges a game has to offer. However, I am not one to complete every game I play. Nothing wrong with people that do that, but it's just not for me. The thing I don't understand there is why platinum/100% games that you don't enjoy? That sounds more like work and less like fun to me. I will only platinum games that I enjoy and aren't too big of a grind. #1. COD World at War My first one. Challenging and rewarding. Veteran difficulty seemed really hard on this COD compared to others I've played but it was a fun challenge. #2. Mirror's Edge Still one of my favorite games to date. So original and super fun. Can't hardly wait for ME2!! I actually got this platinum only 2 days after my 1st platinum which I didn't really realize until I discovered this website recently. #3. Fallout 3 This is another one of my all-time favorites. I love these games. The idea of what the world would be like in a nuclear fallout state is pretty crazy and this game does an awesome job of conveying that. The seemingly endless places to explore, side missions and things to collect like the bobbleheads and rare armor/weapons keep this game interesting for a very long time. #4. Jurassic: The Hunted Not much to say about this game. I used to play the old Turok games and I was looking for something similar and this seemed to fit the bill. It turned out to be just OK. Really short and a super easy platinum. #5. Sinper Elite V2 An awesome sniping game! And I don't mean the kind of sniping where kids run around with sniper rifles in COD multiplayer and have a cheaters sticker on their screen and kill you in one hit. I mean much more realistic sniping. I enjoy long range rifle shooting in real life and have done research on real ballistics and bullet drop specific to my rifle. In fact, my bro and I have hit targets out to 900 yards (yeah, 9 football fields!) all due to calculating how much that caliber of bullet would drop in that weather/altitude etc. So from that standpoint, this game did a great job and you actually have to use the mil dots on the scopes in the game to compensate for bullet drop on the higher difficulties. Really cool! #6. Hitman: Absolution The first Hitman game I had ever played thanks to it being free on PS+. I'm really glad I got to play it because it was really fun. I'm thinking of picking up the older ones and playing those too. I really like games where there isn't a uniform way to do things. Ones where you get to sort of plan out your attack or movements like this one, Mirror's Edge, GTA and Metal Gear Solid to name a few. #7. COD Modern Warfare 2 I have to admit I do love the COD series and I think the first one I bought was COD 4 Modern Warfare which came in a bundle with my 1st PS3. Super fun and online is mostly fun but there are tons of people out there that ruin it for everybody. #8. Metal Gear Solid 2 I had played the original version of MGS 2 and MGS 3 on PS2 so I was really excited when the price finally dropped on the HD trilogy so I could get it. MGS is my overall favorite series to play. One thing that I love is that this game gets the gun/ammo stuff right. Many other games make tons of embarrassing mistakes but you can tell that this game has some real shooters behind the scenes making sure that stuff is accurate. #9. Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater See above. This is my all time favorite MGS game. The story is awesome and the introduction of the CQC fighting style was really cool. My favorite new addition was to be able to sneak up and grab a soldier from behind with a knife to his throat using him as a body shield while you shoot the other enemies. I also love MGS 4: Guns of the Patriots but I just struggled on the Big Boss run. That is all I have left in that game and I probably never do it. #10. Tomb Raider Legend Really fun for a game that was released in 2006. The graphics are pretty good too being in HD and all. It is a really easy platinum and takes less than 20 hours (I think I did it in about 15 hours). #11. Tomb Raider: Anniversary Also a fun game. The levels were much larger and the puzzles were more challenging and fun than those in Legend. Good game overall and I'm looking forward to playing Underworld eventually. #12. Fallout New Vegas One of my favorites. The worst part is the glitches and freezing my PS3 from time to time but other than that I love it. Really cool story and endless missions, characters and places to explore. I pretty much had this whole thing beat a long time ago and never was interested in Harcore mode (the last thing I had to do before platinum). I'm really glad I did though and it wasn't nearly as hard as I expected. #13. Skate 3 This game is a lot of fun and reminds me of the good old skating days (except I can do a lot better tricks in this game). It is a really fun games that lets you be really creative. The objectives/story-line are pretty cool and keep the game interesting. My favorite part of this game is just being able to relax and skate around just for fun. You can do this for hours as the game has a huge map and tons of possibilities. As for the platinum, it isn't too hard except for the Talking bout Team Practice trophy where you have to have an online team freeskate with 6 people total. It sucks trying to coordinate times for this so a special shout out to Cryax for setting up the gaming session on here so I could finally plat this game after nearly 2 years. #14. COD Modern Warfare 3 I only needed to finish off a couple of missions to get this platinum that I left alone for over a year. Big thanks to OwakkaDos for helping out there. We both got the platinum a couple of days ago. All in all this was a pretty good game. Online is the same as any COD really but I loved the Infected mode which I thought was an awesome addition. I also liked the new sight attachment of the EOTech flip-to-side magnifier. It's such a sweet concept that I owned it at one point. Expensive though... #15. Grand Theft Auto V Pretty proud of this one because it took a looong time to get and is pretty rare (it's my rarest platinum as of now). Super awesome game. I thought the online was the best part and was super addictive. The ability to freely roam around doing whatever you want in that open environment with friends and other random players was awesome. #16. LittleBigPlanet Karting I've never played any other LBP games but this one was pretty fun. I was basically missing Mario Kart and this game was a pretty good substitute since I don't have Mario Kart anymore. It was also free to PS+ members so that was awesome. Really fun game and pretty easy platinum. #17. Resogun My 1st PS4 platinum! Not really my kind of game but I did actually enjoy it quite a bit. Some trophies were a little challenging but really not too bad. The trophies for the new DLC got a lot tougher and I don't think I'll be going after those. #18. DmC Devil May Cry This was my first DmC game and i really liked it. I didn't think the story was great but I did like Dante's character a lot. Also, the general creepy, dark angels and demons thing was awesome and really well done. Fun game and not too bad of a platinum. Some annoying things (like having to complete 6 playthroughs) but overall a good time. #19. Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag My first game in the series and I seriously loved it. The graphics were unbelievable on the PS4 and the gameplay was really fun. I found the hand-to-hand combat to be pretty easy but the naval combat was pretty challenging especially before upgrading the ship and then, even with an upgraded ship, a couple of the legendary ships took a couple of tries. Exploring was really fun and doing aerial assassinations from the top of the enemy ship's mast when boarding it never got old to me. Very awesome game! Sharing is Caring trophy sucked for me though and bhawkmackinonit helped a ton. Thanks again! #20. COD Ghosts Wow, it looks like this is my 4th Call of Duty platinum. I guess you can say I'm a fan but have definitely been losing interest as time goes on. Mainly due to people ruining multiplayer. The story and graphics (PS4) in singleplayer were pretty good. I really liked the ending. Extinction was super awesome and a nice addition to the game. I was too cheap to buy the DLC but I really wanna try the other Extinction episodes. All in all it was a fun game and I'm really glad there is a lack of multiplayer trophies because I just wasn't into it this time around. #21. PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Overall a pretty fun game and easy platinum. However, it was such a clear rip off of Super Smash Bros that it was a bit distracting. Also, I really love and miss Super Smash Bros Brawl since I sold my Wii a few years ago and this game only kind of helped fill the void. The story mode in Smash is much better and longer and was really fun to play in co-op mode. The stories of why each character needed to fight in the tournament in arcade mode in PSASBR were awkward and didn't tie in well. Not a bad game it could just use some originality. #22. Assassin's Creed Liberation HD Not my favorite game but still an awesome series and an easy platinum. I bought this and AC II after I played AC IV Black Flag and loved it (I'm sort of back-tracking through the series). This game wasn't very enjoyable for me but I didn't hate it. It was just ok. The storyline didn't draw me in at all and the gameplay wasn't as smooth as I would have expected considering its release date. Well on to AC II... #23. Assassin's Creed II Such a cool game! It had the best setting/atmosphere in the Renaissance in Italy. AC just does such a great job tying in real history to these fictional games. I thought it was awesome how Rodrigo Borgia was actually the real pope near the end of the 1400's. The combat was really good and much more complex than that of Black Flag's combat system which I felt was too easy. Finding the feathers wasn't as bad as I anticipated since I used a guide and the platinum was really easy. This was one of the most immersive stories I've ever played through and it had great gameplay. "Requiescat in pace." #24. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves I skipped Uncharted 1 just because I figured I wouldn't have time to play them all and read the quick Wikipedia plot so I didn't feel too behind. Anyway, I really like this game. The story was pretty cool and I especially like Nathan Drake as a character. He's definitely the male version of Lara Croft which is awesome. I liked the controls when I was fighting but they could be a bit annoying when climbing and jumping. The platinum was crazy easy and fast. Just play on hard, enjoy the story and keep moving on to different weapons for the combat trophies. Then beat Crushing while searching for the 100 treasures and that's pretty much it. Surprisingly, the MP servers are still supported and those 2 trophies are really quick. Fun game, easy plat and I can't wait to play the rest of the series. #25. Far Cry 3 I was in the mood for a game that was pretty dark and disturbing like this one and wasn't disappointed. Pretty cool story (except for the end but that's ok). Vaas pretty much made the story awesome. The gameplay was so fun and I loved the exploring you do while avoiding or fighting the pirates or crazy animals. The platinum was really easy and not too much of a grind. The co-op missions were a little boring and repetitive but they didn't take too long. Thanks to Firebird_NZ for the co-op help. This game was so fun that I already went out and bought Far Cry 4. #26. Far Cry 4 Far Cry 3 got me into this series and this game was a huge improvement on 3 IMO. Better graphics, more to explore and do, awesome villain with Pagan Min, cool setting and animals and much better co-op now that it's open world and fun MP. I always have to give credit for co-op help especially since this guy didn't even need the trophies in return but helped me out anyway. Thanks dcourtney! I loved that you only had to get a fraction of the collectibles too. Great game that definitely has replay value to me! #27. Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception Incredible game and easy plat. Really good graphics and Drake is the man. Not much else to say about this series that wasn't already said above under U2. #28. inFAMOUS First Light Really fun, short game. I thought it was one of the most visually appealing games I've ever played. All of the lights, textures, reflections on surfaces and faces of the characters just looked great and made the game even more enjoyable. It's a short one so I'm glad I didn't pay for it but it was way easy and I got the plat in a little over 24 hours (my fastest one yet). Some of the challenge arenas were tough but once you get the hang of it, they are pretty easy to get some really high scores and last through wave 30. At some point, I might try other games in the series. #29. Need for Speed: Rivals Decent game and easy plat. I haven't played a lot of racing games but Gran Turismo is my favorite series and I think it blows this one out of the water. Getting to rank 60 for both cop and racer was a bit of a grind but not too bad, just a little boring. I enjoyed playing as a cop more than a racer just because I like smashing up other people's cars I guess. I always have to stay grateful to those that help me so on that note... A thanks to RagingVolt for the help with the 2 buddy trophies. #30. God of War Not much to say about these GOW games that hasn't already been said. I first tried these games just a couple of months ago and got the whole Saga Collection that includes 5 games. I actually got this and GOW II plat 30 minutes later just to because I happened to be finishing them up at the same time. These games are pretty awesome. Not my usually kind of game but I really do like them so far and the story is surprisingly good. Easy plats too. I will definitely finish this series (at least the ones I already have). #31. God of War II See #30. GOW above. I would just add that I liked the story in this one better than the first. #32. Wolfenstein: The New Order This game was really incredible and I enjoyed every minute of it (except maybe on some of the gruesome cut scenes that made my stomach turn haha). This game was so cool and I kind of regret playing on Uber difficulty right off the bat. Not because it was too hard but more just because it was difficult enough that it forced me to use more stealth and caution and this game seems more designed for non-stop action and mass killing of sadistic Nazis. It's okay though, because I got to do that on my collectibles playthrough and that was really fun. The plat is super easy. I would just suggest you find good spots to farm kills for your perks during your Uber playthrough so the last boss isn't too hard. I had all perks unlocked by that time and the boss was pretty easy. #33. God of War: Chains of Olympus Again, this is similar enough to the others in the series that I don't have much to add. Pretty fun game. It was my least favorite story-wise so far and it was a crazy easy platinum. No need for even a chest guide and it was totally doable the first time through on Hard mode. #34. The Last of Us Where to begin? For starters, this is my FAVORITE game of ALL TIME!! For that reason, it's my favorite platinum I have now, despite not being the rarest or most difficult. This game had the best and most intriguing story line of any game I've played by far. The father-daughter type relationship and the incredible ending made this game so freakin' enjoyable. I also loved the gameplay and learned to love the multiplayer after giving it some time. The only reason it took my almost 9 months to get the platinum was because I was so afraid of the scary 100% population risk missions that I put off even trying. I knew how mad I'd be if I failed on week 11 or 12. Anyway, If you save only 5 easy challenges for these 100% missions, they are extremely easy. Just wanted to throw that out there in case someone is hesitant like I was to jump into the MP. Once I got the plat, I started to worry I might not play the game again for a while so I just ordered the PS4 Remastered edition so I can 100% that game. I can't get enough! I don't use this word lightly but it is a masterpiece! #35. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD Totally bought this game all because it was one of my all-time favorites from my childhood. I actually sold my N64 so that I could afford to buy a PlayStation 1 and get the original THPS. The plat was pretty easy for someone who mastered the game as a kid and then only had to dust off some cobwebs to get the controls down again and remember where some stuff was hidden. I'm not sure how tough it is for someone new to the series. There were only a few tricky Projectives (pro challenges) I had some trouble with. Shoutout to MajOr_BlaZER_90 and stoogebag for the online help since the servers are pretty dead. This is a super fun game even though the skateboarding is so unrealistic. Still an awesome and totally iconic skating game. #36. Dead Nation Pretty fun and simple game. I don't think it was a very hard plat, it just took some time to do the 4 playthroughs or so. Some parts of levels were challenging on Morbid difficulty but not too many. This is a great game for just winding down for the day and mindlessly killing hoards of zombies. Definitely worth the $0.88 I paid for it in a flash sale. #37. Transistor Pretty cool and unique game. I started off not really liking the combat system only because I was frustrated and having trouble really understanding it. Once it made sense and I found some good function combos though, I really did begin to enjoy it. This wasn't really my kind of game but I definitely still appreciate the creativity and work that went into it. The visuals and soundtrack were really awesome and made this game for me. Overall it was a pretty easy platinum that didn't take much time and a fun game as well. #38. Madden NFL 13 Well I never thought I'd finish this thing off but I finally got it! By far my rarest platinum and rarest trophy now. This game isn't really hard but it's a huge grind and that's why it took me so long to get through it. All Madden games are really similar but this one was my favorite for one reason only: Game Face. It's this really cool feature that allows you to take 2 pictures of your face from different angles and then uploading it into the game. It's pretty awesome playing as yourself in the career mode so you can live out the sad and unrealistic fantasy of actually playing as a superstar in the NFL Anyway, I like these games because football is my favorite sport but I only buy them every 2-3 years since they are so similar to each other. Just glad to add this super rare platinum to my collection. Lastly, a big thanks to ChiuyVallejo79 for the help with the online trophies. #39. Crysis For a game that was originally released in 2007, this was a really good one. Since I first played this recently, I thought the environment wasn't very smooth and the gameplay just wasn't that fun to me. Once I realized it was such an old game, I was actually really impressed with the graphics and the game as whole. Also, Delta difficulty gave me a hard time in a few areas but it was easy overall and an easy platinum. #40. Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard The game was surprisingly funny and made me laugh out loud a few times. It is basically a video game satire that makes fun of a lot of the popular FPS/TPS games out there. The gameplay was pretty good too even though the mechanics were a little sticky sometimes when hiding behind cover and it was pretty repetitive (mostly by choice making fun of shooters where you really just "shoot everything that moves"). All in all a game worth playing if you can get it for cheap and the platinum was really easy and quick also. The hardest difficulty wasn't too bad except for a few parts and there are a lot of checkpoints in this game so it's not too bad to make it through each section of the game. #41. COD Black Ops II Didn't think I would end up getting this one due to the grind and pretty tough challenge of it. I hadn't played the game in a long time and over the last few months I finally went back and got my platinum stopping trophies: Tower of Babble, Don't Fire Until You See (finally got it solo) and Giant Accomplishment (freakin' Ziggy). It's a pretty tough platinum but it's definitely doable. I actually enjoyed this game quite a bit. It was the last COD MP I enjoyed and I really really liked the zombie games in this. All of the DLC kept it pretty interesting and gave it a good variety. #42. Sniper Elite 3 This is really awesome and it's one of my favorites (minus the bad trophy glitch I experienced). It is very similar to Sniper Elite V2 which I loved but I had a great time playing it on my PS4 because the bullet cam looked even better. The story in this game is almost exactly the same as V2 - fight a bunch of guys as a 1 man sniper army, collect some intel that leads you to the next map and ultimately discover the big Nazi war machine they are working on (I hope that doesn't count as a spoiler ). But that's okay since I don't play these games for the story. The gameplay is super fun and Authentic difficulty is really challenging with no radar and realistic bullet ballistics (bullet drop and windage). Awesome game, pretty easy plat as long as you understand this isn't COD where you can just run and gun the whole time. #43. Driveclub The game at its core is really fun. I liked the mechanics and feel of the game after I got used to it and sending challenges to people is a great concept but the problem was most people just ignored them. I got into a really fun drift challenge that went back and forth a lot with another guy and that was the highlight of the game for me. My only complaint was that the PS Plus version was pretty lame. The tracks and cars were very limited and I found it really annoying that they would constantly dangle the cars you've unlocked in your face that you can only drive if you upgrade. I understand they are just trying to make more money but it just seemed excessive to me. The platinum was super easy and the grind wasn't too bad at all. I really only started to get bored with the level 50 trophy (the last one I needed for the plat) at around level 46 so it wasn't too rough. #44. Murdered: Soul Suspect This game really surprised me and was much better than I thought it would be. The reviews for the game are pretty bad but I can't understand why. I found the game to be pretty creepy and suspenseful. I only had a couple of things figured out about the end of the game before I got there but for the most part it kept me guessing. I loved how it tied in so well to the Salem witch trials too. Getting the collectibles was a little painful but not too bad. I decided to get them on a second playthrough so I could just enjoy the story the first time around and I'm glad I did. The platinum is very simple using a guide for the collectibles but would be a pain without one. #45. Dishonored I loved this game and it was such a nice one to get for free with PS Plus! Once I started it, I couldn't put it down. I don't think I played any other games in between while I was going for this platinum. I thought the karma/chaos system was pretty cool in the way it changed the game. It didn't make a huge difference but I still liked it. The no kills and no alerts run was fairly challenging but really not too bad on easy mode. On the really hard sections I would just use Bend Time level 2 and Blink level 2 to completely bypass all of the enemies in that area. For the most part, the playthrough just required some patience and caution not to leave an unconscious body in a place where the guy could get killed while you're not around. Super fun game and not too tough of a platinum either. Dishonored 2 is gonna be awesome! #46. Rocket League Awesome game, easy plat and so addicting that it'll be one of the few games I will continue to play after the platinum. #47. God of War III So I bought the GOW collection/saga and have played through most of the series this year. I was initially pretty impressed but just a little annoyed with the controls and camera angles sometimes in the early games (probably just a result of being spoiled with more recent games). While I liked the other games, this one blew the others away. I hate when this word gets overused these days but this game was epically epic in every way. The boss battles were just ridiculously cool and so much fun. I understand why this game got remastered even though the PS3 version looks great already. This game had some challenging parts but all-in-all it's very doable. I thoroughly enjoyed earning this platinum and the whole game was pretty exciting. #48. God of War: Ghost of Sparta platinum. #49. Dying Light platinum. #50. The Last of Us Remastered platinum. #51. The Wolf Among Us platinum. #52. Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor platinum. #53. Fallout 4 platinum. Edited December 4, 2015 by PLamb858

PLamb858
So since I started this list a couple of weeks ago, I've added Tomb Raider: Legend, Tomb Raider: Anniversary and Fallout New Vegas to the list. Definitely a record pace of platinums for me although I know other people go through games a lot faster than I do. I also just got the PS4 for Black Friday. It's amazing!!

Ala-Arska
There really was no need for a long bio, you had me at "Blades of Steel" (combined with Ice Hockey = pure awesomeness) As for your Plat list, really nice work there. Fallout 3 is almost next on my to-do list, it seems not a soul on earth dislikes it Keep those quality Platinums popping

You will love Fallout 3. I would recommend getting the Game of the Year edition so you get all of the DLC too. It's only like $20.

PLamb858
Real Life Dark Souls PvP when you see a online fight, notice that when someone fails an attack, they will roll back once or twice lololol Ohhhhh that makes it even funnier! im just an average gamer really... my games are not the most spectacular, difficult or even particularly good but every one i really wanted to play for myself... games like gta5 and CoD are way out of my skill level so im always amazed at how easily other gamers get through them... No way man. The Mortal Kombat, MGS2 and Mirror's Edge plats are tough! I've personally experienced 2 of those 3. And some of the tough plats just take a ton of time, grinding and online video guides haha. Congrats on plat #100 btw! That's a huge milestone.
