MidnightDragon
#96 Wonder Boy Collection A fun little retro collection. It includes Wonder Boy, Wonder Boy in Monster Land, Wonder Boy in Monster World, and Monster World IV. Sadly, this isn't the collection with multiple versions of each (though I do have that one ready for PS5), but it's still quite enjoyable. For the first Wonder Boy in particular, rewind is a godsend. Also good you can save state wherever you wish. All four games are enjoyable, though found the first one to be the least. If you played the other three on PS3, you know what you're getting into here. I do think it's a tad overpriced for what it is, but it would be good in a sale. Definitely had fun. MidnightDragon
#97 Arcade Game Series: Galaga Out of the four Arcade Game Series games, feel like this one is the hardest. The fact there are save states you can back up and reload if things go wrong is a godsend. You can also max out lives and turn on level select without voiding any trophies. You can't get on the leaderboards, but since it doesn't matter for the plat, who cares? The trophies are straighforward, but do require patience and skill. Once you get a dual fighter, try to keep it because it makes things less of a headache. I didn't do the no enemy fire exploit. It probably would've made things easier in hindsight. Getting perfect in the challenge stages was a bit tricky, but save states made it more doable. It was fun, though a bit frustrating.

Yeah it is definitely the hardest, I did the no enemy fire exploit as it's a bug in the original game, it definitely made it easier. Still, I think backing up your saves and reloading them is arguably the most annoying bit. Such an effort, closing down the game etc. Still, I'm pleased I did Dig Dug 100% legit without using any USB save backups. This game and both pac mans though.... they would be tough without saves.

MidnightDragon
#98 Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion This is a very charming, cute game that has an old school Zelda feel to it. Since April 15 is traditionally tax day in the US, thought it would be a fun one to do. However, due to some RNG while going for the final trophy, I didn't actually finish it on the 15th, but close enough. It definitely gave me some chuckles and was quite fun. It is pretty straightforward and nothing can be missed. I would recommend it. Platinum shot Edited April 16, 2023 by MidnightDragon

MidnightDragon
#99 Dragon Age II This game takes place in the 10 years following Dragon Age: Origins, where you play as Hawke as they journey from being a refugee of the Blight to the Champion of Kirkwall whose actions will ultimately change the course of the world. I thought the framing narrative was pretty interesting. The combat is much faster paced, which is a nice touch. That was the main thing I would've changed from Origins. This game is not Origins, but it's good on its own merits. I honestly don't see why all the hate. The main conflict in the game is mages vs. Templars. As the game goes on, you'll hear about it more and more, which is understandable since your influence grows throughout the game. By the end, you may be, as one of your companions says, sick of mages and Templars. It's still a good story and the characters are memorable. As good as this game was, one has to wonder how amazing it would be if BioWare wasn't being rushed by EA. There are quite a few trophies with collectibles. One in particular, Supplier, is a potential plat breaker. A lot of ingredients are locked behind places you can't go back to once you finish quests and you also have to watch some of your companion relationships. You don't get the last ones until just before the end of the game, so if you mess up, you have to play again. Also, too many fucking spiders! While I still enjoyed Origins more, this was still quite enjoyable. On the DLC, if you play just one, make sure you play Legacy. It's VERY relevant to the series. The Exiled Prince is a nice extra character, but you probably won't use him outside of what you need for trophies since you get an archer early on and you may very well be an archer yourself if you're a rogue. Mark of the Assassin is a nice little detour. They poke fun at themselves for some of the criticism of the main game. It was mainly to promote a then recent web series, but you don't need to watch it to know what's going on. Anyway, if there was a remaster or remake of this game, I would play it again. I would recommend. Edited May 20, 2023 by MidnightDragon

MidnightDragon
Newest 100% This game does a very good job at capturing the old school Sonic feel and is quite fun. The main reason it took me so damn long to finish were the blue spheres and getting all the Emeralds. The special stages definitely get super tricky after the first three or four, though the last one was actually a bit of a breather. I enjoyed it a lot, though it took me a really long time to finish.
MidnightDragon
#100 Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars The big one has finally arrived! This game takes place in the style of a tabletop RPG in a world entirely made of cards with a game master narrating the story as you lead a group of unlikely heroes to slay a dragon. It's a pretty cool setup in my opinion. The game is pretty easy and a lot of fun. I feel it's just the right length. There is a lot of stuff you need to collect to get the platinum, but nothing is missable thankfully. You do have to fight the monsters multiple times to get their completed card info, but that won't be any big deal. You also will gain armor, weapons, and items just by exploring, so that's nice. I saw several complaints about the parlor game trophies, but I enjoyed the game and didn't really find it that bad. If the game pace is too slow for you, you can turn on fast mode in the menu, which is extremely helpful. I do wish there was a bit more difficulty in the boss fights. Even the final boss and postgame boss weren't too difficult. The main thing that annoyed me was the fact you had to fight the final boss four times to get all the endings. It wasn't difficult by any means, but still wish they had a way to streamline it. I definitely would recommend it to any RPG fan, including tabletop RPG fans. I plan on doing the other two games in the series in the future as well. Platinum shot
Joe Dubz
Yay, congratulations MD!!! Woohoo, what a wonderful dragonly milestone choice ? I should have guessed it, as you mentioned possibly going for this for the 75 milestone, if memory serves me correctly? Anyway, the game sounds pretty fun from what you've described, so perhaps I will check this out too down the road ? Again, huge congrats on the big milestone win!!

I did have a chance to finish it sooner, but I messed up and slowed down too early by mistake and got caught. Then it took like another 20 minutes to get it done. At least I don't have to do it again.
MidnightDragon
My latest 100% I enjoyed the Grand Master spin on Tetris once again, but I can't help but feel it wasn't as challenging as the first one they released, which disappointed me a bit. Still finished fast enough to make the top 50 fastest achievers. Nevertheless, I love Tetris, so it was fun while it lasted. MidnightDragon
#102 Astro's Playroom A very fun and cute tech demo for PS5. It definitely gets you used to controls. None of the trophies were hard at all and I found most of the level collectibles without using a guide. A few frustrating spots here and there, but nothing too bad. I struggled with the speed run trophy. Most told me it was easy, but I didn't find it to be, so your mileage may vary. Not very good at speed runs...that was the only bad thing about the game IMO. Really enjoyed all the references and Easter eggs from PlayStation's history. Wish they would make a full game with Astro for PS5. He's adorable! Anyway, it comes with the PS5, so if you haven't played it, do so! Platinum shot

MidnightDragon
#104 Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 (PS5) Another foray into the world of Sega's combination of Puyo Puyo and Tetris. I played the PS4 version back in 2020 and enjoyed my second go of it. It's just as fun as the first one. The adventure mode once again doesn't have the most compelling story, but who plays a puzzle game for the story? It's also much easier to get 100% this time. Side levels count towards 100% and, if you three star every level in a chapter, you get a chance for a fourth star, so it's likely you'll be at 100% before the end if you play side stories and do the fourth star regularly. On PS4, got to 100% before the end, but not in PS5. Went back and finished that after. The online is easy to boost since it's completely dead. I think I met another person other than my boost partner once. The only real negative is that it's pretty much the same as the first game. There is a new battle mode, Skill Battle, where you have a HP meter and have to reduce your opponent's to 0. There are several in the adventure mode and I didn't try it outside of that. It really doesn't add anything to it. I enjoyed the first game, so the fact there wasn't very much difference wasn't a huge deal to me and I still enjoyed it, but it might be for you. MidnightDragon
#105 Sonic Origins (PS5) You can read my previous impressions from playing this on PS4 here. I got the Plus DLC and played through all four games with Amy. It was kind of fun playing as Amy, but she didn't really add much new to the table. She does use her hammer as a shield/attack when you hit jump twice quickly. Game Gear games were a nice touch, but wish they had trophies involved. Still annoyed they couldn't include the original tracks for Carnival Night, Ice Cap, and Launch Base in Sonic 3. Still, another fun trip down memory lane. MidnightDragon
#106 The Longest Road on Earth A short but sweet game that involves four chapters with very few inputs and no dialogue. The narrative is guided by the music. Much of it is left up to interpretation. A lot of the feel seems to invoke memories. All the trophies are very straightforward. In fact, not sure any of them are actually missable. Was suggested this game by @DrBloodmoney and it didn't disappoint.
