Act 5 is Coming

The legendary defibrillator bot strategy was patched unfortunately, so now No hope will be even harder now.

So, what is everybody´s most reliable build for Act 5 on No Hope difficulty?

Shotgun damage build. You can try a melee build but its ineffective on No hope. If its still difficult bring some friends with other builds to make it easier.

Its difficult in learning where to take hordes but nothing too bad. A little patience and luck and you’ll get it. I used a temp health/shotgun Mom build and I could tank hits from bosses and tall boys while maintaining 200+ health. Level 3 of the act is the big hurdle with a drop into an ogre (use him to farm temp health) and the final arena (keep your back to the wall and backpedal all the way around). I’ve included my deck suggestion for anyone interested:

Motorcycle Jacket

Padded Suit

Motorcycle Helmet

Scar Tissue

Numb

Body Armor

Sadist

Face Your Fears

Buckshot Bruiser

Pumped Up

Mag Coupler

Scattergun Skills

Ammo Stash

Quick Kill

Optics Enthusiast

Use the Belgium with infinite ammo and just walk through a lot of levels (not literally, just play smart). Looking back I’d probably drop Face Your Fears for Shredder/Confident Killer.

I pretty much used the same card build and just used the Belgium the whole time. Worst level for me was into the depths, the bots were useless against the many slashers.

I had to wait until I got a ridden hive on the prison level as I had a Breaker and an Ogre in that same room. The hive will spawn in that room.

For me is a 7,5/10

I had never played in no hope and it's much more harder than nightmare!!
I tried lots of different builds, lots of games in order to finally do it solo with a melee build.
I spent more than 10 hours on the dlc that's for sure.

The hardest map is the prison map in my opinion.
Good luck everyone!

For me a 10/10 difficulty

I don't recommend playing with friends as it makes it even harder (Although I finished it with a teammate). I used a Melee deck and my friend used a Doc build, I mostly did everything since my friend repeatedly kept dying. The first two levels are easy but every other level is very difficult. The last level was very difficult since we had the Ravenous corruption card.

Anybody knows if the Duffel Brothers trophy (11 Duffel Bags to Saferooms) counts for the player who actually brings it, or for the whole team?

Yes it does.

There aren’t checkpoints but if you are in solo you can hit the start/options button and leave game and it’ll keep you on whatever level you were on. Just do it before your entire team dies and you get the out of continued screen.

there is no sense to buff IA bot's in past for nerf later for buff IA again for probably nerf later.

When they add cards people found good idéas they broken it with nerfed it too...

I dont understand that because if people found good idéas they have to stay it and not remove too much.

For example one thing is really strange to me i have solo the Act 1 four first missions with IA bot's only , the 4 th on boat take me over 20 tries because unlimited zombies on the boat. And when i have started ACT 5 mission 3 in mines online i have doing over 75% way mission easily with moving slow with IA BOTS when people join public my party R.I.P it on under 5 minutes after they joined , why it's more easy with bot's and more hard with people.

In alien fireteam elite they have add a dlc trophy , dont need to reached it on the highest difficulty.

at my eyes the nightmare is ok but hard , why add more difficulty lol.

i edit because i forget to ask why they have locked the no hope difficulty in private only , it's more hard to up and found people and i know some public party are very good , why they have locked it. i have rarely good teams in nightmare difficulty but some are very good players. it's really a pain to form and up a party they have to unlock it to public the no hope difficulty again a no sense to me.

Oh yeah yesterday this breaker boss killed me over 30 times when i try to pass the act 5 mission 2 , and the win try i have just running away without fight the boss , but some times you die when you try running away the boss.

i have found the 3 first mission on act 5 no hope easy with the bot's , but now i am at the mission 4 the mining cart mission and here , my bot's are useless , there is giant's pop and they killing very fast my bot's , i can only when i am lucky found the dynamite advance the mining cart to two doors , the 2 nd where you have one horde coming and here i die after the cavern. it's something 1/3 way the mission.

Why in the solo the bot's are die too fast!!!!! and why i have never one hidden hive on my way lol.

Someone have good idéas for i can kill the giant's before they killing my bot's fast? or a team is very strengt and good can help me to pass the 3 last's mission on the dlc no hope please,

I just beat Act 5 on No Hope difficulty solo and figured I'd share my experience in case it helps anyone.

I used Holly with a gadget-focused build, with the core of it being Expired T5 combined with Pyro. You basically just sprint through a crowd of ridden with Expired T5 activated (or they come to you when a horde is triggered) and you'll gain a ton of health thanks to the Pyro card. I also had Crippling Frequency and Ultrasonic Wound Therapy in the offensive slot which gives you some extra defence and does a small bit of healing over time. I usually activated them whenever a mutation was nearby to lessen the amount of damage they do to you and the bots. My full deck is below.

4KkYKyY.jpg

If you're missing any of the gadget cards, you get them from the duffel bags, and they can be farmed on the final level of Act 5 on Recruit difficulty. They changed how the duffel bags work so it'll give you the new cards and clothing from the expansion first, so it won't take as long to get them now.

When it comes to weapons, I was using a shotgun (more specifically an AA-12) because it doesn't share ammo with the gadgets which is very important. I did have a melee weapon as my secondary, but I didn't use it very much. Only really if there was a horde coming through a choke point and Expired T5 was still on cooldown, or if I was low on ammo. As for the store, the #1 priority is refilling ammo, and then I prioritised health and ammo upgrades. If I had a decent amount of copper left after that, I would usually spend it on armour. The only time I bought a quick accessory was a tool kit for chapter 4 which I'll get onto in a little bit.

Honestly, with this build, most of the campaign went pretty smoothly. For chapters 2, 5, and 6, I pretty much ran through it as quick as I could. Expired T5 + Pyro encourage that even. By far the toughest level for me was chapter 4 since you have to escort that train cart thing which means a whole lot of waiting around for it to get places while your health drains. It's a long level as well. You definitely want to bring that tool kit I mentioned earlier, because at some point after opening one of the doors, you can find a railroad switch on the right side of the track that you can use the tool kit on so the train cart skips to the end of that section and you can run right through it. It helps a lot. Also, if you find a hive entrance on that level (or any other one for that matter), it's worth going in just to skip the rest of the level because I find the hive levels are much easier to run through. The rare weapons and other goodies you get are a nice bonus.

By playing offline, you can get infinite continues just by quitting before your whole team wipes which is really helpful. So even if you're struggling on a level like I did with chapter 4, you can just keep trying new things and hoping the RNG is merciful until you finally get it without having to re-do the previous levels over and over. I did try doing this with a friend for a bit, but having a limited amount of continues makes things so much harder. I mostly used the burn card that gives you and your team an extra life. It definitely saved my ass a few times.

That was a lot of text, but maybe it'll be useful to someone who's struggling with the new No Hope trophy.

thank you very much for the great tips you give , but my save is on the mission 4 so i cant switch my deck and change it , or i have to restart to mission 1?

yes the mission 4 is block me i cant progress because when a giant pop i try take some distance run away a little but the bot's are die fast because the rooms you have spaces are dangerous for dodge the giant and the bot's are really useless and a sandwich vs a giant , and sometimes it's two giant's pop at the same time and some exploders with it lol.

i very die after open two doors with the mining cart.

Do we not think that the ultrasonic wound therapy might be alittle overkills since you can negate damage anyways for a lot less SMG ammo? Run out of ammo pretty early on with both equipped.

for me i love more use a weapon rifle for the bot's can trow me ammo for my T5 , i just restarted a game for try have more health for mission 4 , a harpie killed me before the end of mission 1 i restarted it , and again a harpie but at the end of the mission again but i survive alive , why the pain devs give you card's that can kill you when you have over 300 life , yeah i have try to stay my life blue meter to 300 on mission 1 because you cant take trauma damage while you have bonus health blue life , but the game... when he see you win he try killing you with card's. oh my...

why this is to pain to play it? on alien fireteam elite it's hard ok... but not same this.

i edit because something is really very wrong in this game , the random... i go a 2 nd mission start with breaker boss pop instantly at the boat with (4 giant's , 4 exploders , normal zombies and more ) i got lucky because i survive this crazy start with your deck build undead ... but the start ... why this is too much at the starting of mission? i have never see this... i finished the 2 nd mission with a bot killed... but he recover the life on the 3 rd mission...
