Lady Lilith
http://kotaku.com/an-entirely-new-way-to-play-pokemon-1560870153 Pokémon, in first person, played with an Oculus Rift plus a 'virtual reality treadmill' called the Virtuix Omni—which allows you to walk around naturally in a game. This is the future, folks. This is probably the most 'realistic' way to play Pokémon, too—imagine running through tall grass when your entire party is almost wiped out, or walking through a dark, Zubat-filled cave? I'd play that.P And in case you're curious...the game being played in the footage looks to be Pokémon 3D, a fan-made game that recreates Gold & Silver Meh. Pokemon got really old to me after they rehashed the same gameplay mechanics and more or less the same "plot" for the like fourth time. That and how much they fuckin' milk it. Almost Call of Duty bad. But I guess this IS Nintendo, they milk all their successful IPs.
Parker
Not gonna lie, that is pretty damn awesome. If I was rich, you can bet your ass I'd have that in my basement. Parker
LukeWarm115
Saw this on Shark Tank.. It looks awesome, but a little uncomfortable. Imagine playing Heavy Rain with it.
Beyondthegrave07
Meh, 1st, they should update those graphics. Plus, I could do this same sh*t by playing my gameboy color with gold version and walk on a treadmill. Though I guess you have to start somewhere.... Lady Blanc
All I can say is what a waste of money that would be, you'd think they'd try make it look at least a little more realistic than that. Even if I had the money I wouldn't buy it, I'll stick to conventional gaming thank you very much.

KitsuneChaos
Until this very moment, I never bothered myself to actually consider how the sky looks in the world of Pokemon.

shigomei
Sounds great in theory but it looks uncomfortable and slightly stupid... If I had one, I know my housemates would take to scaring me when they're not too busy watching me walk like I crapped myself

DrasticAutomatic
Am I the only one who isn't bothered about all these new VR devices?
Sakraali
Am I the only one who isn't bothered about all these new VR devices? I can't care less for the Omni (and so can't 99% of gamers, as they'd run out of breath after few minutes - let alone completing a game of even few hours), but Rift seems pretty damn awesome.
