My friend has been pushing me hard to get my ass to a Beartooth concert. Turns out I've been officially diagnosed with PTSD, which explains a lot of the struggles I've been going through. I appreciate this community, and there are some amazing people I've gotten the chance to interact with:

@HuntingFever @Helyx @BlindMango @draqilo @Roronora_Zoro666 @Charizarzar @JCP3953 @Jeanolt and all the helpful and generous gamers I've made friends with through boosting sessions and forum chats. Thank you to everyone here, and as I always say: be kind to one another, check on your friends and love ones, and remember to breathe.

@BIOHAZARD-R-US - You're one of the best on the forum, and in the end the only thing that can let a constraint or complication keep you down is you, so don't let that happen and make the greatest of what you've got and surpass that. I know you've got this :) Also it's always important to have achievable goals for yourself too (both big and small, short term and long term) and continuously go for them each day, if you don't have that then it's really easy to focus on the negatives

I've never delved much into metal or (hard) rock so I don't think I have good recommendations for the music you're looking for, but what I've enjoyed recently is making a playlist for each decade and trying to find my top 100 songs for each, and having the constraint of 100 forces me to knock some off and really figure out what is truly the best to keep, and its made me really dig and rediscover music I've once loved and some I've nearly forgotten. It has kind of made organizing it all fun for me and really the first time I've started to understand playlists too (it took me way too long to really get it lol). Maybe the same could be done for sub-genres and so on, not only just decades

This might be a long post with alot of links (I will only post the url, so it wont be too long 😂)

I've been going through alot of rough times a couple of times, the hardest one were around 2017-2018 and I think personally that music saved me more now in hindsight than I thought back then.

Im also of the kind that when being angry.. angry music calms me down instead of triggers more feelings.

My first recomendation would be an artist named "Devin Townsend".. a dude that sound as good live as on album and with a very good high scream, he also had a band called "Strapping Young Lad".

In my oppinion this whole post could be about him and all the different music he's done, from one extreme to another... and with just as childish humor as I have!

He probably did more for me than any other music, I could relate and "feel" more from his music than others.

This guy makes EVERYTHING.. with over 25 albums, from "Hummer" (which basically is a white noice album) and "DreamPeace" (instrumental music he made for himself to calm down and sleep to) https://youtu.be/-OZacHNqqoc?si=QLE4Y2yWp3HJsjJL

to joyful music with his in your face wall of sound with the albums "Epicloud" and "Addicted" and songs like "Kingdom" "Awake" and "Ih Ah" https://youtu.be/nubJjB95VdY?si=2dN02fQXBuN0_RbY,  Albums like "Casualties of cool" and "Ghost" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qHVnebR7s5A that has panflutes and a bit more relaxing sound to the disney-like song "Why?" on the album "Empath" and "Spirits Will Collide" from the same album.. telling you that you ARE enough.

Two other songs that I absolute love with him is "Deadhead" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DrDM6V08wcE

and "Universal Flame" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uk1wE_29M-M

Then of course there is the more extreme Strapping Young Lad, where you have songs like Detox, Love?, Almost Again and "All Hail The New Flesh"

Next up is "Orbit Culture" a swedish band I started listening to this fall.. incredibly "in your face" sound with lovely heavy kickdrums and guitars

"In Flames" works well for me sometimes aswell, though I find they have lost their touch a bit and gone more mid-tempo where I like the faster.

Mick Gordon's Doom 2016 Soundtrack is awesome aswell, "BFG Division" is my personal favourite there.

"Lorna Shore" Is at the end of the spectrum for me, alot of their catalogue is to much for me, the harmonics in the music makes me through the songs I like though.. and I think Pain Remains is the last song I cried to (after the guitar solo)... their way of using the organ is wonderful aswell.

"Architects" have some good songs aswell

"Unleash The Archers" is a powermetal band with a female vocalist, one hell of a voice aswell

Lately I have been going alot into synthwave and bands like At1980, WOLFCLUB, The Midnight, Dance with the Dead, LeBrock and Gunship.. I dont know if its interesting, but it often gives me a bit of hope listening to it... remeniscing of good ol' times from when I was young.

Tell me if you want me to post some of those things aswell, because this takes to long to type and I need to leave haha

I hope you found something interesting among the stuff!
