Popular Post Rebourne07
Updating after having finished a few longer projects. I got 100% on Doom Classic Complete, platinum'd Dark Souls III and finished TLOU2 DLC back to back which was nice. TLOU2 DLC would be a 9/10 if it weren't for the Permadeath "By Chapter" option. Also, I have decided to nerf my score. I really felt cheap using the 999hrs on XIV Endwalker to boost my score through the roof. I won't change rules mid-year so this ONLY APPLIES TO ME, but I'm setting a maximum of 200hrs for the time portion of score calculations. I'll make this the standard for next year, 200hrs max no matter what game it is, but for this year it only applies to me. So @DLM1988MUFC is back on top PS: It's funny and interesting that I'm currently Silver in all 3 categories lol Edited May 3 by Rebourne07

I find that guide writers almost always severely understate the difficulty of racing games so I like to ask around.

Once you get accustomed to the driving and you find the cars you’re comfortable with, it’s not that hard. I did play on easy and I watched builds and guides since I’m not a big racing games player. Some of the activities can be really frustrating, mostly because of the random traffic. There are a few speed traps that are a pain to get 3 stars for, and I really wasn’t a fan of the drifting activities. Overall, I agree with the 4. Maybe 5 if you’re really unlucky with the traffic.
Popular Post Rebourne07
4 more completions over the weekend: All the DLC for Resident Evil 2 Remake This puts me over 10k points (without the bloat from XIV Endwalker) and 2 more badges for a total of 18 😎 Also, a big milestone for me is according to my crunched stats I've completed 10% of my backlog since I started this year Edited May 6 by Rebourne07
Popular Post Shyjun
Small update from me, only 50 more points. I completed Sifu and two new Dead by Daylight DLC. But thanks to Dead by Daylight releasing a new single trophy DLC pack out of nowhere that takes literally 5 minutes to complete, I was able to get the Drop in the Bucket badge (and twice!). I thought I would not get this badge as I had no game qualifying for it in my backlog so that's a nice surprise! I am now at 22 badges.
Popular Post Hitman_Spinksy1
Another PS3 game in the bag with Ar Nosurge: Ode to an Unborn Star, this one only took me 6 years to complete 🤣. It was a rather confusing jrpg but I got into it in the end. The story was pretty deep and definitely carried the game as combat was rather meh. With that though I'm sitting nicely just under 49% and on my way to smashing my goal of getting 50% by the end of the year. May even be able to push my goal to 55%.
Popular Post L0sT_NZ_Kazekage
Just posting to say I'm still in this! Just been a bit sidetracked with Sea of Thieves. It has like 256 trophies so it lowered my completion a lot so trying to get back to 80% before popping any platinums!
Popular Post Hitman_Spinksy1
Another game done with Azkend 2 which was actually a surprisingly difficult 100% but the mission carries on towards 50% and cleaning up my backlog from top to bottom. Also wondering if this guide was ok to use for it. It's a little outdated but I would say it is still just as difficult as they state. https://www.xboxachievements.com/game/azkend-2-the-world-beneath/guide/

Popular Post Hitman_Spinksy1
Another Assassin's Creed Valhalla DLC done for some little chippy points. It's just a never ending game at this point though and I've still got 3 left but I'll probably take another little break from it and chip at something else.

So many collectibles and so much DLC!!
Popular Post Kirenoxs
time for an update, this time I completed FO76, still working on those DLCs but at least got one of 'em done, I'll try to be more active but I'm really addicted to playing 76, need to finish those DLCs fast so I can put it to rest for a while haha Oddly enough I am yet to have a game with 1k+ points but my score for Blood, Sweat & Tears keeps going up. As you can see, I got so busy on april-may during 1 month stretch that I barely played anything, I think I have more free time now so will update more often. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1v-r4TcIoXpli0gO-0O6aYLP2d9dywRido7Vpv0uTYtE/edit#gid=1701472501
Popular Post Venal
Finished Heavenly Bodies, but I don’t think I get any badges from that (and honestly, with how difficult the controls were at times, I’m pissed that it’s only worth so few points).
Popular Post Rebourne07
Whelp, I finally tackled this massive game. Driveclub is now 100%!!! I really completed it slowly over the past month but I don't wanna look up the dates on everything so I just put today as the completion date for them all. Close enough. Man this was a mess. I wanna say I liked it, just cause I put the time into it. But honestly, no, I wouldn't recommend it. The base game a long time ago was cool, but the DLC is just too much. Whoever thought it'd be fun to slide around like a bar of soap while being water boarded in the pitch black dark for 100hrs...needs to be shot. The weather and lighting make this game look great, but do not make it more fun. Before my Lasik surgery several years ago I used to wear glasses and having water droplets on your glasses sucks...and that's what it feels like playing this game 80%+ of the time because of the water effects on the screen. Ugh. Anyway, rant over. This is a huge accomplishment for me. 2nd biggest game on my profile in terms of raw number of trophies (FFXIV PS5 is #1) and a TON of points so I climbed a whole percentage point. I also finally earned the Blood, Sweat and Tears badge Edited May 19 by Rebourne07
Popular Post iXanon
Small update from me, though I did finally get around to updating my old sheet and using the one with charts, etc.. although I couldn't be bothered with the badges just yet 😅 https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vSOi3F18Hc2nCP0zz4WHCaTtUJE1vPTFNwT7PEh_9xMldTOlKOQgZrwt8GzEOHsXez7-POvJ70wZ12k/pubhtml I finally got around to finishing Battleship (PS4) - I'm also busy plugging away at DiRT 4 (PS4) and should hopefully finish it this month..
Popular Post Sephiroth-22-
No completions to report, but I did just reach 85% for my profile completion percentage. Excited for the bigger multiplier! Been working on plenty of backlog games, just haven't gotten any across the finish line in a while. Hopefully that will change soon. Best of luck everyone!
Popular Post Shyjun
After giving up several times on Kingdom Hearts 0.2, I finally completed the remaining objectives and got the 100% for 75 more points! It gives one more Finishing Touch badge (only one more and I will have reach the limit). After this one, I only have two more games in my backlog that I am interested to complete in the near future so there won't be much updates coming up. But those two games are worth quite a lot of points so I might be able to take back the number one spot for Blood Sweat and Tears for a short time if I can complete them soon.
Popular Post Finch_III
Finally completed Final Fantasy 16 and both DLC. I've gotta say, I have mixed feelings about FF16. It was undoubtedly a beautiful game, with fantastic voice acting and a gritty story. But it didn't really feel like a Final Fantasy game. And the combat felt very repetitive quite quickly, although I did have a lot of fun in my first playthrough. Doing the Hard Mode playthrough was quite the grind though, and it sorta emphasised the weaknesses in the gameplay. I was skipping a lot of the cut scenes, and without the 'filler' of the storyline, the gameplay was pretty uninspiring. I didn't find the boss fights particularly fun the second time round either, once I was over how 'epic' they were. Now that it's out of the way, I can hopefully start picking up some real points in this challenge haha.

Yeah, I thought I'd actually enjoy the second playthrough more because I'd found my Normal playthrough very easy. But when you're skipping cut scenes, you realise the whole game is just walking from A to B with a few mobs and the same reskinned mini-bosses spattered around. I'm not sure you can throw some chocobos and marlboros into any old game and call it Final Fantasy. That said, I didn't love FF15 either ... I guess I haven't really connected with a FF game since FF13 and FF13-2. But I'm by no means someone who's played a ton of them ... just the main instalments (skipping the online ones). Honestly I don’t agree with the time estimate anymore. I wrote the trophy guide for XIV and it’s original DLCs and at the time my coauthors and I decided that the main game and all major expansions would have time estimates of 999hrs because 1) they are LONG and 2) there’s no accurate way to estimate their length. But looking back I think I’d rather put the main game at 999 and each major expansion at 200.
Popular Post Skagarrin
I may need to talk a little about this one. Batman: Arkham Asylum This was tough for me. No problem with the game itself but bounced hard off the Combat challenges. So, after beating the story on Hard difficulty I gave up. That was December 2009. in Nov 2020 I decide it would be a really good idea to play Batman: Return to Arkham on my PS4. No surprises I had the same result and again gave up due to the combat challenges. [I wasn't as serious about trophy hunting back then] This time I persevered with the challenges and slowly improved and began ticking them off. That was until Shock and Awe (Extreme). By this time points were no object but the time limit was brutal. I lost count of the attempt that ended due to time when I had acquired the 30K+ points required. This morning before work I had the run. I'm sure anyone who plays fighting games knows the feeling when you stop really thinking about the controls and just play, almost in a daze. I had 30K points by round 3 and round 4 is really just a blur to me. But I downed the last guy with the timer on 0:00 and the screen starting to fade. Freeflow Combo 5 Is the 11th Trophy on my account 2nd September 2009 [The first trophy was Masterpiece from Guitar Hero Hits 5th July 2009] [11 trophies in 2 months wow, as I mentioned I wasn't into trophy hunting back then] So this platinum took me over 14 years [2nd Sept 2009 - 30th May 2024] https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1KWaSfUGcLDn41V4J_E5-xxIyIvhbnlPGT29fYmho3VQ/edit#gid=1701472501
