Mini Platinum Guide

I decided to write down a mini platinum guide instead of going through the process of doing the bigger ones because it seems like a lot of new hunters need tips and ways of approaching certain trophies. If any one wants to use any of the given tips into their guides feel free to (Shoutouts would be nice)  

All of the following methods were tested while I reached 98% couple days ago (Only trophy missing is the one mission that's not achievable yet)

Also this won't be a full fledged guide, rather a couple "how to get certain trophies" as good as I can for nearly every trophy except the ones that I think are pretty clear and easy to achieve.

 

Hell Dive:

If you don't have a team in which you can communicate well I would suggest to go for it solo. I know it might sound intimidating at first but trust me it sounds harder than it is. Choose one of the killing missions, if you have multiple, go for the one that has a slightly bigger map to it. Equipment varies depending on the players level, I did it while being on level 12-13 but if your higher than that you'll have an even easier time. Choose the grenade launcher, the SMG-37 as a primary and the P-19 as your secondary. I did it with the armor that gives you +2 healing items at the start (CM-09). Now the most important part, your stratagems. You'll want to have 2 turrets on you, preferably the rocked shooting one and the automatic canon one (if your not solo change it up a little bit by also bringing in one gatling turret). If your high enough bring in the Orbital Laser which will do gods work without risking to hit you if not the first 2 air strikes do their work while recharging pretty fast. If not solo have one of your mates take the "supply bag" with them. Right at the start get all of your supplies spawned in and take cover on either the top of rocks in which the most enemies won't reach you, or the containers, don't run around and place turrets near your spot while not directly on the way of the walking enemies. Always go for the smaller bugs first you DON'T have to kill all the bigger ones to trigger another wave of bugs. Small bugs -> quick kills -> quick extraction. While Solo is perfectly possible, a full team would have a laugh doing this method.

 

Hold my primary, I'm going in! & Extractamundo!:

These two trophies are achievable in the same round easily while you don't have to go out of your way to do so to get Hold my primary, I'm going in! easier. 

As for the tactic just use the same as mentioned for "Hell Dive" with the difference in being that nobody of your squad is allowed to shoot from anything besides the secondary. For the weapon I brought in the P-19 and the same stratagems as mentioned above. (Search a rock, go up, wait for your stratagems and turrets to do work, if needed kill small bugs with your P-19 to fasten things up). You are ALLOWED to die and use grenades. Even if you die make sure to call in everyone at the end before extracting to also pop Extractamundo!.

 

Gone in 360 seconds!:

This is best done in a team of 4 so the method is gonna be written with that in mind. We needed 2 tries to pull this off because you need a glimpse of luck looking for the nets and eggs.

Best maps are the ones that are clearly visible (If there is only the map with a distorted view of the surroundings look out for slightly glowing red areas, these are going to be your objectives most of the time). Have 1 of you land close to the extraction point with 2 turrets on him and some heavy hitting stratagems. The other 3 are going to attack the nests while landing on separate objectives. Equip some big hitters like the 500kg Bomb or 120-360mm Strikes and directly get your grenade launchers ready. When you're close to the objective throw both stratagems in the direction of nests to minimize the remaining eggs you have to clear up with your weapons. Keep in mind that the ship will take over 2min of your time alone to land and extract. If you cleared both objectives you can either run towards the extraction points if you're not being chased by hundreds of bugs or getting killed to be respawned directly next to your teammate who awaits on the point. Place in your turrets and hold on for the remaining minute or so.

 

Caught them by Supplies!:

Choose mid or challenging difficulty to have Chargers spawn in and get to an area which isn't too open. Somewhere with rocks around suit this the best. If Solo you have to find a rock or mountain which the Charger can not climb up to and wait for him to dash into it. He will be stuck most of the times giving you the time you need to call in the supplies and killing it. The supply spawner will "stick" on him but I had times in which it didn't follow his movements and still landed on the spot in which I hit him with it first. If you play with others you can have someone play decoy and sticking it either to the player while he runs into the Charger or while the other player runs in circles up to the point in which the timer has 1-2 seconds left and lets the charger then dash into him. Could take you couple tries but even then you'll have it given the amount of Chargers you have to face in these 100 missions.

 

Samples are a diver's best friend:

Higher difficulty missions give out more rare items (some even up to 27) so it makes this trophy easier BUT this is written for difficulties around challenging/hard. Before spawning in look at the map and search for a tower icon, if not shown land in the middle and zoom in at your mini map right after spawning. If zoomed you can clearly see points of interest around which are always demonstrated as little gray areas for the buildings standing there or everything that catches your eye because it stands out in comparison to the rest of the map. These spots always have either a rare item, common item, a weapon or a combination of those on them. To have an even easier time open the map and look out for a spot which looks like the mentioned tower, it has a antenna on top of it and you have to manually activate it (side objective). After activating the tower it marks spots on the map as diamonds which also show you where the points of interest are, which of course gives you an easier time finding all of them easily and in time. For this one it cumulates across the team so as long as you have 15 in total this will pop.

 

Doing your Part:

I know "Play 100 missions" sounds easy enough but as I grinded them quickly for the trophy I found an efficient way of getting 1 mission done in 2:30min instead of 10-20min or more. 

Choose "Trivial" difficulty (the easiest) and go for either the mission with the tower icon or the killing the commander one. If doing it with a friend (which will be the fastest way) let one of you land exactly on extraction point and the other on the objective. The Tower and the commander are nearly one shot to you so you'll be done with the target in less than 30 seconds while your friend calls in the ship immediately. Rinse and repeat -> if your solo its also quicker by far (Sounds boring I know, the game is amazing to do the 100 normally but for guide purposes I came up with this method).

 

It's the only way to be sure...:

This one is pretty easy while confusing for some. Have a group of minimum 3 players, even easier with 4 and all equip 2 orbital barrage stratagems (it HAS to be an orbital barrage so watch out for the name of the stratagem). Spawn next to each other and get ready to throw them all in one place. It doesn't need to be 0,1mm from each other but still relatively close to each other so they hit the same area and spots. Throw them all at the same time so you'll have at least 6 firing down at the same time. It won't pop if the last one fires slightly later than the others.

 

That which does not kill you...:

While the most get this randomly there is a method to trigger it safely on purpose. Equip the DP-40 armor and a grenade. Now throw the grenade in front of your feet and you'll survive most of the time while all limbs being injured at the same time thus the trophy pops.

 

Fully operational & Ship it!:

Best way to farm common materials is to replay killing missions. The map is really small, the materials always spawn in the same places and the rounds are quickly done. If you have the choice go for the slightly bigger maps which will always have 15 common materials whereas the smaller ones have 7 on them. If you do this method you can easily get to a hundred commons in under 1:30h even faster when you always get the "bigger" maps.

For the rare ones you can either go for 10-15 per mission while playing challenging maps (Blitz is the fastest mode for rares if you can nail the locations) or on suicidal for over 17-25 per mission.

The last material is only spawning on suicidal or higher and only 3 at a time (on suicidal) so you have to at least play 2 missions on this difficulty. The good part is they always spawn in the same location IF you get the exact same map AND they always spawn in a group of 3 so basically all in one place. You could need couple tries to figure the spot out but they always spawn near nests, destroyed ships or buildings.

 

Let's call it a draw:

Play a killing mission on the automata side on extrem for them to spawn in frequently. You can shoot the arms off easily with either the Sniper or machine gun. Don't use turrets because they'll kill him immediately even after you destroyed his arms and made him not dangerous anymore. After the arms are gone he's no thread so concentrate your stratagems on the spawning enemy waves, while being on high ground at all times. Ignore the tanks as long as you can and kill weak enemies first to fasten the mission up. You CAN die in this one as long as you extract. (In our case a friend got the trophy without extracting while me and another did extract).

 

Hot Potato!:

Just to clear things up you can't throw back a friendly grande for this one. Play an automata mission and look out for the running weak enemies which hold a "laser sword" kinda weapon in one hand and a gun in the other. They alway throw grenades after a few seconds even more if you're not that close and behind some cover. Run towards it and press X to throw it back and to pop the trophy. You DONT have to kill, hit or throw it to any specific direction.

 

Hold my Liber-tea!:

Equip the jump pack and take a grenade with you. Just throw the grenade down to your feet wait 1 second and then jump with the jump pack, even if you die, the trophy will pop.

 

Science is done by quantity: 

Some think this is bugged which is not the case. You just have to hold all of the 15 samples for it to pop, this is not cumulative as the trophy with the rare samples is. Just collect at least 15 as a team/or solo and let your friend give you the samples by using the D-Pad or kill himself at the end while you collect the samples before extracting.

I didn't play Hell Divers 1 much so not sure how Extractinating The Countryside works here? I've read on reddit that it's a special mission that can't be missed when available but they are timed opportunities? Is this correct or is the trophy just bugged?

I didn't either but it's not bugged just not available at the given moment. So yes it'll be a timed mission but when and how it'll appear is still unknown

With the flamethrower, you can either buy and equip it (faster way) or find it randomly on any map which is how I did it in my first rounds with the game. If you're out of ammo and don't have the trophy call in supplies to restock. You can easily do this on the lower difficulties as well, mopping up small bugs from nests should fasten things up.

If you exit the app while playing, you can go back to just before entering the same map.

This method is quite useful.

 

You can find and hold a blitzkrieg mission where the goal and nest are close together for a 360 second trophy, or you can quit immediately after a failure and try again for a no-death on the same map.

Why choose when you can have it all? I brought the flamethrower, napalm airstrike, and incendiary mines to a level 3 or 4 bug mission and went nuts! Easy trophy.

You don't need to exit the app just press options and go back to your ship with the whole crew. This way the same mission stays available to replay it.

Sure why not if you wanna go Overkill with it you might bring everything with you haha, but maybe some wanna try this as soon as possible without most of the equipment unlocked yet. But yea this method even increases your flame kills more

The game has to dial Arrowhead's servers to even run a solo mission. So... all of them, in that sense. But once you're connected, only a couple actually require you to have other people in your game. The ones that mathematically force multiplayer are "Extractamundo" (need 4), "Democracy ain't done with you yet," "Promote Synergy," and "It's the only way to be sure" (all of which need 2). All other trophies can be done solo.

The 100m kill trophy unlocked for me from a turret that I had left at a previous location. Cheap but easy.

I just killed two chargers with supply drop in a single mission solo. No trophy. 

 

Finally did it on a behemoth charger mission that spawn at level 3. Managed to got the charger stuck in some rocks (pretty easy to do) then got the trophy at the second supply drop.

Skill dependent really so I can only speak for myself and my journey to the plat which I'd rate around a 4/10 probably. 3-4/10

This would be much higher though without playing in a group.

I'm missing this, and the "kill 25 enemies with one stratagem" I see people on YouTube getting it with the sentry turret but mine runs out way to quickly to get 25 kills. Any tips?

Use the mortar turret. If that doesnt work try the Eagle Cluster Bomb on smaller bugs and you should get It!

Equip the armor from page 5 in the season pass. It's called DP-40. It has a 50% chance of surviving fatal damage. Blow yourself up with grenades until you get the trophy.

 

Note: I played the game with German text language at first and the 50% survival chance wasn't mentioned in the German description at all.

STABILITY/CRASHES

Fixed a crash during extraction cutscene relating to text to speech.
Fixed a crash happening during extraction in search and destroy missions after consecutive multiplayer missions.
Fixed a crash when getting disconnected during the joining cutscene.
Fixed a crash while shooting from the 'SMG-37 Defender' in ADS mode.
Fixed a crash that rarely occurs relating to surface data for footstep effects.
Fixed a rare crash relating to identical particle effects playing.
Fixed a crash that could occur in relation to accepting an invite.

 

MATCHMAKING

Fixed an issue that caused us to send invalid data to multiplayer services.
Improved lobby sorting to increase chance of connectivity.

 

BALANCE & OTHER FIXES

Defend event difficulty has been reduced.
Fix for Suicide, Impossible and Helldive missions being too easy.
Horde Mode difficulty Increased.
Horde mode timer has been increased to 15 minutes.
Updated Mission End screen to display Experience and Requisition multiplier.
Issue where multiple of the same stratagems could be brought to a mission has been resolved.

I have a tip to add for “hold my primary” that just worked out for me. It’s a bit of a cheese, but if it works it works. 
 

I went in with two different types of machine gun turrets, the 500kg bomb airstrike, and the orbital laser. When I died the first time, I was able to maneuver my respawn onto the top of the large tower that’s often found on the “kill x amount of bots” maps and I was essentially untouchable up there. Took a few pot shots with the auto pistol, but mostly waited for the stratagems to recharge and let them do most of the work. 
 

once I was done I died and respawned near the shuttle and worked my way into it for the trophy.
