Siren_Tiene
Princess_Gryff Sorry, but your Platinum is in another castle. Auto-Biography First off, stop saying "you have a lot of trophies for someone who doesn't care about trophies." I know. I get it. Get over it. I play games for fun, not trophies. It doesn't matter how many platinums or trophies I have. My brother is a HUGE completionist and always bugs me about NOT platinuming a game. It is just how we are. We complete things to the best we can (without paying for DLC). I'll say it now and again, I'm a gamer for the experience, not the rewards. I'm a 20 year old girl who just entered the USCG. Princess_Gryff comes from one of my most common usernames (Gryffinclaw Princess) which comes from my Harry Potter obsession. My other common username is Kisitiene (key-stan). Anyways, I game for fun and not the trophies. If I see a game I think I might enjoy, I’ll try it. I don’t care how hard or easy a game is to platinum because that’s not why I’m a gamer. I’m a gamer for the experience, not the rewards. I am more than happy to help anyone with advice or boosting on any games I play or have platinumed (if I still own it). Especially WKC! Brother’s account - Brianx Gamer Card First Trophy Fashion Sense - 1/1/11 - 15:03 500th Trophy Sea Turtles, Mate - 6/3/11 - 23:39 1000th Trophy Daily Prophet Reader - 3/23/12 - 15:47 Platinum List (In Order Acquired) Last Rebellion – 1/6/11 – 1/8/11 This was an easy platinum as all trophies were story related (last eight gold are option bosses) but I enjoyed the game. I liked the story and it had potential but I hate how it ended. The ending was the biggest disappointment of the whole game for me. Like I said, it had potential. A lot of things could have been better and I know a lot of people don’t like the gameplay but oh well. I actually platinumed this game twice because Griff hated it so much but didn’t want a zero on his trophy data. So I played the whole game again for him. Heavy Rain – 2/15/11 - 2/16/11 I really enjoyed this game but I wasn’t too happy about how many times I had to replay certain levels to get all the endings. I love the twists and turns the game puts you though and I normally hate murder related things because they are so predictable. I’m glad to say this one kept me on my toes a bit. I was happy to get Kamikaze on my first try while others I know struggled with the timing. LittleBigPlanet – 1/1/11 - 3/3/11 At first I didn’t really like this game because it seemed so repetitive. Jump here, jump there, and jump everywhere! Plus, I really sucked at jumping. As I played it more to help Griff get his multiplayer trophies, I started to like it more. I did need some help with the acing all levels trophy and I did get very frustrated at some points in the game but overall I enjoyed it more than I hated it. | I still have this game | Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus – 3/8/11 - 3/9/11 Out of all three Sly games, this one was my favorite. I enjoyed the levels and it was fun all around. I never got frustrated with the game and I don’t really have any complaints. It was a nice blast from the past and I wouldn’t mind playing this one again. ^^ Hyperdimension Neptunia – 2/17/11 - 3/20/11 Probably my favorite game so far…I absolutely LOVED this game. I love the concept, the art, everything! I enjoyed that NG+ transferred all items which made it easier to go back through when I realized I missed a story monster for one of the trophies. Some of the events were kind of boring but it was nice to see so many different things incorporated into one game. The characters were perfect personifications of the systems in my opinion. I wouldn’t mind popping in this disk again if I just wanted to play something I enjoy. This is one game I will never get rid of. Sly 2: Band of Thieves – 5/1/11 - 5/5/11 I didn’t really enjoy this game too much. It was very repetitive in the levels with reconnaissance photos and sneaking and spying. It was pretty much the same level over and over and over again. Nothing much to say about it…it’s done and I’m happy I don’t have to do it again. Lego Harry Potter 1-4 – 1/18/11 - 5/28/11 Another amazing game! At first I was skeptical because I thought it was going to be really lame. It was my first ever Lego game and I was thoroughly impressed. It was fun, entertaining, and even silly. I am really glad I played this game and though some points were confusing I got through it all in the end. I wish I had played it more when I first got it instead of setting it aside for a few months after one trophy. It looks like it took longer than it did but it didn’t… I just procrastinated in playing it. Totally worth the buy if you enjoy games that aren’t very sophisticated. Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves – 5/28/11 - 6/2/11 I hated this one so much. The challenges pissed me off to beyond insanity. One I couldn’t even do and asked my brother for help on because I was about to throw my controller at someone. I know I have bad gamer rage but this game brought out the worst in me. I didn’t enjoy the change in Carmelita’s voice actress, either. I liked her old voice better. The ending of the game was nice though. But I will never, ever play this game again…ever. Hopefully Sly 4 is better. Lego Pirates of the Caribbean – 6/2/11 - 6/4/11 I was really hoping to enjoy this Lego game as much as LHP but I didn’t. I enjoyed it but not as much as I thought it would. Needing Blackbeard for almost everything was annoying but I expected it just like how you needed Reducto for a lot of things in LHP. I didn’t like how slow the compass was when leading me to things and I had to take breaks in between levels when I was replaying them for all the collectables because it got pretty boring for me. Maybe it’s cause I played it alone (as in I was the only person in the room) and some of my entertainment while playing comes from talking to others about the game. Dante’s Inferno – 6/4/11 - 6/6/11 This game is surprisingly very good. I had seen it played but never played a game like this myself. In fact, when my brother and one of my friends saw me playing Dante they asked what was wrong with me and why was I playing that kind of game. Apparently I’m not allowed to play games like this. But anyways! I loved the story and while the gameplay was different than anything I was used to at first, it was pretty easy to get used to. Sometimes I felt like it was kind of a button mash game during certain parts and I could NOT finish the Gates of Hell by myself. I asked Griff to help me finish that because it was so repetitive and I’m not a very repetitive person. But yeah… loved the story and I’m really glad I played it even though I did get a little outside help. Create – 6/20/11 – 8/5/11 Oh. My. God. This game looked so awesome and fun. It made me think it was like Roller Coaster Tycoon or something really creative and entertaining. Nope. It’s some kiddy puzzle solver builder thing. At first I was like, “Oh this is kinda cool…” And then it turned into, “OMFG when is this going to end?!” I got through it but I will never suggest it to someone unless they have a child who likes to get an item from point A to point B by building a cart to transport it in that has balloons on top and fans hanging in the air to move it along. Burnout Paradise - 7/7/11 - 10/3/11 It was a fun game but the online trophies were a pain (especially wildcat stadium). I did enjoy playing it with Griff and my brother though, which was the main reason I got the game in the first place. I'm not a big racing person but I can say I enjoyed the game...though not enough to play it again. ^^; Lord of the Rings: War in the North - 11/3/11 - 11/7/11 I highly enjoyed this game though I was disappointed at how short it was. I wish they would launch some DLC to continue the story some more, maybe add on more quests or something! I bought the collector's edition which was kind of a waste of money seeing how I feel about the game now. If you are looking for a short, entertaining game then this would be it. | I still have this game. | NCIS: The Game - 11/19/11 - 11/20/11 I love watching the show on TV so I figured I would try the game. I knew it wasn't going to be a very amazing game but I tried it for the story more than I did for the gameplay or the trophies. They were all story oriented and while the gameplay wasn't fun, the story was. Portal 2 - 6/6/11 - 12/25/11 I enjoy puzzle games so it was fun though the co-op was a pain in the ass when trying to figure out the trophies which were glitched backwards (Meaning Player 2 had to do all of the trophies for them to pop). Overall an enjoyable game if you like puzzles. Thanks to Piggie for helping me get the platinum with hugs! Back to the Future: The Game - 1/9/12 - 1/10/12 Another one of those where I enjoy the movies so I tried the game. The story was good though I wouldn't pay for the game. I checked out a used copy at work to try it out and that was that. Has just enough challenge and simplicity to make it a good game. CSI: Fatal Conspiracy - 1/12/12 - 1/13/12 Probably the last game I try in the case of liking the show. Just like NCIS it was fun but very simply and straight forward. Again, loved the story but wasn't interested in the actual gameplay since there wasn't really anything to it. Katamari Forever - 1/3/11 - 3/19/12 This is a game where you look at it and you really think it's going to be something incredibly stupid but then you start playing it and it becomes an addiction. "Just one more level." "Okay, one more time and I'll be off." "Just one more item to collect..." Then three hours have passed and you never even realized it. Maybe it's the music or the concept of being all powerful and able to roll up everything...but whatever it is, it's awesome. Oh, and one last thing...COWBEAR!!!!! D< Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 - 5/26/11 - 3/24/12 When I first started this game I was really upset with how terrible the graphics were. After playing through it a bit I put it aside just because of that reason. After learning that graphics aren't that important I picked it up again and finished it all the way through. The story is pretty straight on and while some things were annoying (like playing all of the challenges and running through on Hard) I still had fun. In my final playthrough I pretty much just kept under my cloak as much as I could and avoided all fighting possible. This made things a lot easier than dieing in a few shots. ^^ Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - 4/11/12 - 4/12/12 I started playing this on a day where I was extremely sick and had to call out of work. I wanted a game that wasn't going to take much thought and I could just sit in my chair and sulk in my sick misery. I almost did it all in one sitting until I passed out from my medicine... So, I finished it after I woke up and now I have this shiny new platinum. As far as the game goes, it was fun and took little to no thought to complete. Not for hardcore gamers but good for fans of the series, someone looking for an easy plat, or a sickly person with nothing better to do. Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7 - 11/12/11 - 6/4/12 I rented this game from work last year and played it for a bit but never brought myself to the point of buying it because it was pretty expensive. I picked it up the not too long ago when it went on sale for $19.99 brand new and finally got around to playing it. Just like my other Lego games, I really enjoyed it and it was nice to break up the monotony of some other games I am playing *Catherine*. 100% List Detuned – 2/9/11 – 2/9/11 If you are ever high, stoned, or on any kind of drug then this game will be amazing. Otherwise…you wonder why you ever got it, why you ever played it, and what exactly the point was. It just blows my mind how insanely random this little game is and how…just…wow. That’s all I can say. Wow. If you want an easy 100% go for it. Otherwise, it’s not really worth it unless you’re doped up. I only played it cause Griff had it on his system and decided to see what it was. Sly Minigames – 3/9/11 - 5/2/11 These were entertaining little games for a few trophies but not really anything special. I played them cause they were there. No challenge in them but I figured why not? It was enjoyable to the minute they lasted. The only reason it took some time is because you have to play each game to unlock all the games to 100% this. allenbird
Griffthedragon is a cool guy. Even though you don't game for trophies, You made a pretty comprehensive checklist. Good job. 18 plats is nothing to sneeze at. My brother only has 2 plats and my best friend who is a manager at gamestop doesn't have any plats at all. I like your nod to super mario brothers, your plat is in another castle..lol
ShadowGandalf
Cool list... maybe I should do something like this. A short story behind each of my plats... (i hope i enjoy Sly 3 when i get round to it, im on Sly 2 at the mo, and can understand what you meant about repetitive)

Siren_Tiene
Allen - Thanks. I like paperwork and doing things that involve coding so I figured it would be fun to make one of these. But yeah, I'm a 3rd Key (aka: Senior Game Advisor) at GameStop and the only one on staff who really plays PS3. The guys are mostly into their 360s. Shadow - I know a lot of people loved Sly 2 and 3 so you might. I just couldn't get into them how I could with Sly 1. Law - Thanks. ^^ Piggie - Yea, we try... But with me working 30-40 hours a week and needing to finish out outfits for SakuraCon it has kinda been put on the back burner until after Easter. On another note, just finished American McGee's Alice in Wonderland! So I'll be heading back to finishing Madness Returns. Even though it doesn't have it's own trophy list I might still add it to my 100%. Or maybe make a sub category for DLC completion...
technole
Nice list. GR11 in WKC1. Not much equipment you can make at that GR, and most of the drops you end up needing are rare. But GR12 is definitely something to look forward to! Axe was my favorite class towards end-game. Good luck on your journey to the Platinum Crown! Siren_Tiene
Tech - Yeah, I'm just grinding GP mostly and working on my weapons. The only one I need to level up still is my Demons Axe but those Eyes are hard to come by. Piggie - So I've seen. Every time you are on I see Tales of Piggie F in your system. Bmj - Yeah, it's true. But they are really just a bonus. My brother isn't a trophy hunter but he is obsessed with 100% everything he has so he always bugs me to complete things. A lot of the time I finish the extra for the platinum to get him off my back, lol. He keeps bugging me to platinum WKC which is why I'm so determined to get it because then I might get a day where he doesn't go, "Why I no see Platinum for White Knight!? Hmmm? Slacker!" Aexuz - It's the one on the trophy list from this site. It's a good game but the battle system is weird. To do any good damage you have to hit the body parts in a certain order to get a chain going.

That's cool... it's nice to have a little outside motivation to keep pushing you! All I have is a wife who likes to try de-motivation, haha. That's typically why I stick to late night gaming Keep up the great work with your games, we might just convert you to a trophy hunter eventually. I like that you are trying to be/stay informed on the games you see people are interested in; that way you aren't just a body in the store... you can actually help someone make an informed decision about a game. I'm sorry... My whole family likes games. I even got my mom hooked on achievements when I bought her a kinect and peggle for the 360. My house has three 360s (just sold our fourth one not too long ago and upgraded another), one Kinect, three PS3s, two Moves, two Wiis, three 3DSs, three Original DSs, three Gamecubes, three PS2s, and a bunch of older Nintendo handhelds. So having a de-motivational person around wouldn't really work lol. Thanks. ^^ I like actually knowing what I talk about to my customers. I never played a Mario game until I started working there because everyone asked me about them and I had no idea what to say. Which is why I also tend to read game reviews more now than before and I also play my 360 more for the exclusive games on it and for comparisons in graphics and controls.

Orlay_
You have the most platinums of anyone I know from a gamestop. The gamestops near my house are just okay and the workers usually have no clue what they're taking about. I have become the rite of passage for new employees... they can't recommend games I haven't play. On second thought, maybe I should spend less time at gamestop.... >_> Nice little list. I'm on the fence about creating my own. You have a few games on here that I have on my "to rent" list.
Siren_Tiene
Updated a bit of information. I will be slow to get any more platinums as I am heading into the Military in the next few weeks. That is also why I have been slow since my last plat. A few personal things have happened (like Griff and I are no longer together) so gaming is a bit harder without someone to play with (cause I like playing with others). If anyone wants to help me enhance this list then send me a message and we can play some games.

Siren_Tiene
Obtained Platinum #21 just a few minutes ago. I am at 1,141 trophies and have finally surpassed my brother! It won't last long but I figured I would enjoy it while I can. I will be continuing my journey for the Catherine platinum now and maybe I will have it before I leave in two weeks. Again, I would also like some help on WKC to try and get that out of the way as well. Hit me up for some games, guys!
