It's still unclear if they actually used it and the first article that wrote about it misinterpreted some things. Either way though, it's actually a pretty smart mode of communication if you don't want to be listened to or have much of a history of your (audio) chat. Not surprised if they did actually use it. Either way, video games aren't in jeopardy or anything either because of it, it's more an interesting and unpredictable scenario, it's why it's getting talked about.
