Popular Post Undead Wolf
Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja have announced that Nioh has sold over one million copies worldwide since it's launch a little over two weeks ago. This includes both retail and digital copies. Not bad for a game that prides itself on difficulty and doesn't exactly appeal to the mainstream audience. This doesn't come as a huge surprise considering the game was sold out at many retailers shortly after launch. It clearly did better than they were expecting. Also, it's worth noting that Sony published the game outside of Japan. To celebrate the game's success, users who download the 1.04 update will receive "Golden Nioh Armor". That update should be available some time today (24th of February). Source The reviews for Nioh have been very favourable so far (at least from the games media who could beat it in time) and is currently sitting at an 87 on Metacritic. I'm glad to see the game is doing so well. As a huge fan of Souls-like games, I'll definitely be picking up a copy when I can. hyappatuhyakuchu
I fucking love this game. Seriously. I haven't beat it yet, but so far It really makes Bloodborne and Dark Souls look like easy games. Took me 2-3 weeks to complete BB/DS3, but it might take me a few months to even just beat Nioh. Auto-Tomato
Just got the plat, have to say, haven't enjoyed myself this much with a game in a long time, pleased it's selling well, it was an exceptionally rare pre-order for myself, and it didn't let me down in any way. Always room for improvement, and there's some minor gripes here and there, but ultimately an excellent game. TN and everyone involved should be thoroughly praised for the way they handled Nioh, putting it out there three times and not just listening but acting on feedback, well done TN. If you like Soulsbornioh type games you'll love it! Might even buy the season pass. Lol

DJROE95
Although I'm not very far into the the game (I've had it since launch) I'm loving it, tend to do a few side missions a day and then a boss at the weekend. It's my first 'souls' type game so I can't compare them but I freakin love this game, I normally whizz through games super quick but I'm taking my time and loving this, feel like I'm 100% getting my money's worth.
FlareXV
As long as it reaches or surpasses KT's expectations, I'm happy for them.

Satoshi Ookami
I would say I'm not that surprised. With Souls fanbase growing and growing, 1M copies of game that is not afraid to say that it takes inspiration from the Soul series is not that unexpected =D But great success anyway, more money for new Dead or Alive Xtreme

It's great to see this game do well. Doesn't interest me personally, couldn't get into Demon's Souls, but the recent trends seemed to be that single player focused games were dying out. Tomb Raider flopped, Dishonored flopped, Deus Ex flopped, even WD2 which had a fair amount of MP flopped. It's nice to see one finally do well.
ShadowReplicant
That's good news. I hope it sells a bunch more so that Team Ninja don't have to make terrible DoA volleyball games just to eat. Definitely a GOTY contender for me. Aranea Highwind
Good to see the game is doing well. This is the title that introduced me to the whole Souls genre and certainly lived up to the hype. With the success of Nioh I can see this game turning into a franchise. RevengeancePrime
After seeing countless comments from ignorant people calling this nothing but a Souls knockoff, I'm very happy to see there are a lot more people than I expected to be supporting this title.
