Popular Post VirtualNight
Hackers Warning! edit: IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO NOT START THE GAME NOW, IS A VERY BIG RISK Is from several years that this game has some hackers into the game. You may think that this is irrilevant for you, but actually they can easily alterate your stats in any moment, for example they can give you -99999999999999999999999 points which means you will never be able to rank up again, same thing can happen to any of your stats. These things happen mainly if you join in an hacked room, since I have been playing in this game for a lot of years I know when a room is from an hacker or not, but you may not be able to understand that. The best thing to do, if you want to enjoy the game, is to get all the medals, badges and ranks first without never playing with the others and don't try other trophies yet, after that you can enjoy Warhawk if you wish (almost all good players are gone), even if you get hacked you can still get your platinum trophy. Hackers can read this post, i do not recommend to anyone going for the plat to post here, as you will leave a clear sign of your presence on the game. About the hackers: hackers can alterate your stats, freeze your ps3, cause yourself the suicides and spot you anywhere, they can teleport, they can alterate the name displayed in the room (so you may see name like "hi" or other simple things), shoot with no reload and unlimited bullets with an impossible rate of fire, aim-bot and if you get theyr pack you won't find a single weapon in (usually). If you find someone that does these things, I recommend you to don't message them. They can be whether an alone hackers or supported from another hacker who has the control over all the hacks of theyr friends or he just watches them (so if you message to an hacker, you may get a reply from someone else)... I know that you can be mad for being completely destroyed by an hacker, but is best for you to endure, remember that they can freeze your ps3 or hack your stats. SEN will do nothing against them, after all this time all the hackers are still up, although they got tired and they don't show up frequently anymore the hackers' room can't be identified by someone who hasn't years of experiences in this game, but generally you should avoid the rooms with a few number of people allowed (plus the numbers allowed are 2-4-8-12-16-20-24-32, a different number means that the room is from an hacker) in a map called Fortress (usually the hackers do some tests here or they give points/stats to theyr friends). Avoid the rooms called "Open2vs2", preferably avoid also 1vs1 safe rooms are "MALO" and "steedleyle0", who keep warhawk alive, plus all the Blue/green rooms are safe (they are classified as "Official") since they are provided from the developers (although the developers, Incognito, are down from 2010 I think, I don't know who keeps the servers up, but it should be the Santa Monica Studio), all the rest can be a risk Very important note: as i said hackers can alterate your stats in any moment, someone got mad because of this thread and my stats have been hacked. This is what they look now: Spoiler Punti totali = total points, needed for rank up Uccisioni = kills Last 2 pictures show some weapons stats Now, my theory is that they can do this by knowing your online ID, and sending you a clan invite. Is no necessary that you accept it, in fact if you invite someone you can easily display all his/her stats. Or they can hack you if you have them added as friend. So to be 100% safe you should hide your warhawk trophies until you get all ranks/badges/medals, so that no know will know you are playing here except your friends. When making a room its standard name is your online ID, so change it. 95% of hackers are in USA, so finding one between 10am gmt and 3pm gmt is quite rare, is also the time when there is less activity on the game, which is played from warhawk community in the other hours. Theorically to get all the trophies you don't need to play with the others at all, except for the battle clan trophy, but I always had problems to get some action-related trophies alone (they always refused to pop) so I had to join in a room to attempt them. NOTE: if you haven't at least a normal connection, you won't be able to make a room for 8 players, which is necessary for a trophy. Now, I have 0 knowledge about techology and connections, but if I recall correctly from a friend of mine, your modem's speed should be 8MB or more (a 12Mb speed allows a 12 players' room, and so on, except for 32 players in a player room type (without counting the Dedicated lobby type), which requires an extremely powerful connection which almost no one has, if you have an optic fiber you should be fine for the trophy). TIP from Nemesis_WM: when making a room you can make from the first window a lobby reserved to clans, and put for both teams your clan's name, by this way for those 20-30secs before you lock a lobby with your pads no one else can join. However i have no idea if an hacker can overpass this. I used to make a list of hackers, but this site shouldn't supposed to allow to defame someone, and for a trophy hunter isn't crucial to know the hackers, so i decided to remove it since i did the mistake to combine personal feelings (sadness for warhawk being destroyed) with what this thread is supposed to do, avoid you being hacked. RVMcypress_grave
I barely touched the game years ago but I thought you had to play a ranked match for nearly all of the badges so why do you say that you don't need to play with anyone else to get them? You don't need the others thanks to this glitch, you can play a ranked match alone in split-screen (up to 4 players, more if you have more ps3s). Plus, all the badges/medals must be gained in a ranked room, not just some.
RVMcypress_grave
Wow, never knew that. Thanks for the warning about the hackers, I was never into the game very much but I did pop on from time to time and could see myself getting screwed over if I hadn't read this. hore
Am I vulnerabe to hackers while attempting the Bandwidth Donor trophy? If so, any workaround? I'll save this one for last, just to be safe...

They can do the rest of the hacks in any room but that will just bore you if you wanna a funny gameplay, anyway since that trophy requires a Dedication room (which is where you can't play at all), you won't be touched in any way (I don't know if an hacker can freeze your ps3 in a dedicated room, but is really unbelievable that someone would do that if you never bored one of them). EDIT: this answer is from now uncorrect Edited May 14, 2018 by VirtualNight

GodsDisguise
1) I don't need to go into your game or on your accout to derank you. 2) Open2vs2/Open2v2 isn't a modded lobby. 3) I am half the names you listed and you will only know I'm modding when I want you to know. 4) The game is dead, get over it. You must be the host (EDIT: this answer is from now uncorrect) 2)i wouldn't be impressed if tee would make this room, and i saw he is an hacker, so they aren't safe either 3)I don't play almost anymore with my main, i spotted you modding with other accs, i don't know everything you can do but at least i can warn people 4)this is a trophy hunters site, we don't care about that, my target is to warn these people to avoid them messing theyr warhawk trophies Edited May 14, 2018 by VirtualNight

VirtualNight
New important infos added. Read before go for this game. Previous posts saying directly/indirectly that the only way to being hacked is by joining in an hacked room, are not true anymore. you are vulnerable as soon as you get some stats on this game. Darkette
It’s a nice platinum to have, but I’ll probably just go ahead and avoid this one. Thanks for the heads up. Edit: nvm, didn’t know it can all be self boosted so easily. That is indeed what I shall do. Edited May 15, 2018 by Dark

Not sure what this has to do with getting into game development and computer programming. Get a degree, take related classes, study/use whatever engine you want to use, do your own gaming projects, develop stuff etc, that's the kind of stuff that will get you the job you want. Sending data to a server to mess with other people's stats won't.

Thanks for helping the community! There isn't any sort of weekly leaderboards or anything where your name shows up for recent progress or anything like that, so you can be found in game even if doing the private game, is there? I didn't post that, i just shared that glitch. No, there is only a basic leaderboard (which can be filter for example for kills, xp, battle points etc. but only to the top ones, not the lowest ones) and the only way to find someone there is by scrolling down, but there is over 1M of people, scrolling is slow (a dozen of people, then you must wait the leaderboard to load to check the next dozen) there and even if you reach the highest rank you will still be in a very low position. Other way to find you is by friend list (if you have an hacker as a friend, in the game there is a list showing max 50 of your friends and theyr stats. I forgot to say this, just added to the first post), and clan invite i mentioned. Edited May 14, 2018 by VirtualNight

Making my own programs from scratch and using the addresses that I found myself IS how you learn and how I got started. 3.) I learned a way more advanced computing language by modding this game (PowerPC) that can and will benefit me in the future. 4.) So what you've done is disassemble the program code, then written some of your own? You think PowerPC and RISC is the future? I still fail to grasp why you need to mess with other people's online stats? Sure, there's some server-side holes to be exploited, the devs should have been more careful, but it's a PS3 game, they didn't expect it, though they should have... You won't hear me complain about it, I just think you're wasting your time making other people unhappy. There's so much more productive things you can do.
