Erkawest
I'm familiar with the games and the story, but I haven't played any games. I have seen my friend play KH1 and KH2 many years ago, but I don't really know the story... Will I be able to enjoy the game without having previously played the other games? Should I watch some quick recap/summary of previous games or is it fine to just start playing the third game?
madbuk
The third game includes a story recap for the previous games to help newcomers understand what's going on. I don't know how in-depth it gets or how useful it is, but hopefully it should be enough to let you enjoy the game.
Popular Post Sir_Bee
I have played the first two multiple times, even watched my wife play the second one twice, and I still don't really know the story. I think that you will probably be fine
sephiroth4424
I envy you.Cause i played all KH games on ps3/ps4 and the story or better yet the storyline is very confusing. And they had to add time travel to it, so it's even more messed up
Skyy-Knight
Well KH isn’t exactly the most friendliest to newcomers but if u really don’t want to go and play all the games u can watch this story summary and thankfully he breaks it down to make the story a lot easier to understand
Phlegeth
There's an in game recap that's suppose to be new comer friendly. And of nothing else you can enjoy the Disney side of things.
Edunstar84
Someone who has played the whole serried would need to epwatch the in-game summary to tell us if it's enough or not. But I have seen it, and I thought it explained the series very well. Have to admit that I've played Birth by Sleep on the PSP. grimydawg___
As mentioned, there's a recap, but if you can afford it, the $100 (US) of the game includes the other games as well.

Erkawest
Thank you all for answering, I'll make sure to watch that yout/be video to be somewhat prepared. Now let it be Tuesday!
Gage
They uploaded the recap included in the game to the official YouTube channel, it's really short and glosses over a massive amount of info. If you are set on playing it right away and don't want to play through the other games first your better off spending a few hours watching one of the recap series that have been put together numerous times by other people on youtube.
