Popular Post UlvenFenrir Posted March 31, 2019 Popular Post Share Posted March 31, 2019 one of the things that caught my eyes upon preordering the game was the “lack” of incentives to do so. obviously the only incentive to preorder any game should be the game itself but sekiro imo launched how every game should launch. the only preorder stuff that came with it was a few themes and one standard digital edition. (not talking about collectors editions, those are fine, i mean gold, deluxe and what have you). no extra weapons, prosthetics, items etc. it released as is and that actually made me happy. it shouldnt be that difficult to release a full game without shoving a bunch of extra crap down our throats or insanely stupid roadmaps how to best buy a game. and knowing activision is the publisher who wouldve thought. i also dont mind getting proper expansions for sekiro. what are your thoughts? 11 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Undead Wolf Posted March 31, 2019 Share Posted March 31, 2019 It's sad that releasing a AAA game in its entirety without chopping off bits to use as pre-order incentives or including microtransactions is somewhat of a rarity these days, and as such, is worthy of praise. That really speaks volumes about what the video game industry has become. But yeah, I'm pleasantly surprised that From's partnership with Activision (a company known for anti-consumer practices) turned out well since they didn't force these things into the game. I bought the game on launch and I'll certainly be getting any future expansions they may put out. Speaking of, that's another thing I can appreciate about this game. KainDMD Posted March 31, 2019 Share Posted March 31, 2019 Pretty sure there are a bunch of other editions of this game outside the digital store that gives you other extra shit, so in that sense it isn't complete. There will be dlc as well that you will have to pay real money for, probably stuff that they make while the game wasn't even complete.
