Whaat? How Sakura Santa got rejected? It's so ironic when it's one of the few with no hentai scenes. I'm from Spain and I know Inma Ruiz in person, she talked to me in some occasions how she feels uncomfortable when drawing explicit scenes, this is so shocking and worries me about what PSN is becoming. They suck.

Neptunia x Senran Kagura: Ninja Wars was just announced for Switch. It has more content than the PS4 version, with the additions relevant to this thread being new sub events and something called "Mushy Mushy Mode". I won't add it to the list until we know the full details, but I'm willing to bet that some of this new content is stuff Sony would consider too lewd to allow on PlayStation.

Also, I found out that Azur Lane: Crosswave has a lower age rating on the PS4 compared to Switch, likely due to being given "more freedom" in the game's photo mode. I've added that to the list.

This really pisses me off, If they'd announced these versions earlier I never would have bought the PS4 versions.

They're probably hoping that people double-dip. Plus, releasing the censored PlayStation version first avoids a lot of the negative PR that come from the direct comparisons between the different versions. If PlayStation players don't know they're getting an inferior version of the game at the time of launch, they're more inclined to buy it.

Well great, I already plat the ps4 version. I might buy it again for switch, it's a good game but I spent 50 bucks for an inferior version. I can't help but feel cheated.

I would have liked to have found more definitive evidence, but I tried searching around and couldn't find anyone else discussing it, so for now I've just put that it's *possibly* been censored worldwide. If anyone stumbles across this post who's played the game on PS4 outside of the US and knows for sure whether or not it's been censored, then feel free to comment on the thread and let me know.

Developer Techland has confirmed that Dying Light 2 will be censored in Germany. Rumours of a special german version had been floating around for a couple of days.

Thanks for the heads up. It's on the list now. ? It's a shame that this is still happening in Germany. I suppose it's a step up from outright banning the game from sale like the first one still is, but not by much.

The Letter, was delayed on the PS platforms. It was meant for release on the 15th of December along with Switch and Xbox. Well, since this is a Mature horror visual novel, with a lot of CG's, nudity, and the sorts, well i think it's safe to expect that the delay for this game in Q1 2022 on PS4/5 is most likely because of censorship. Since it's already out for Switch and Xbox. And it was a game i was really looking forward to play. I actually sent a ticket to ask about the recuring delay and to be informed of some censorship is in bound for me to skip the PS version and play it on PC. I'll keep it posted if they actually give me an answer on the matter.

Ah, that's a bummer. I remember watching the trailer for that game a few months back and thought it looked interesting. Hopefully there's some other reason besides censorship why the PlayStation versions were delayed, but I expect the worst with Sony these days. I appreciate you keeping us posted on the matter!

I don't remember there being any sexual content (18+) in The Letter.

 

I backed it when it was just a Kickstarter and it had one on the nicest CE's I've ever bought   Adding to that the physical had extra content that was never available anywhere else

It has sexual Themes in the Visual Novel. In the publisher Eastasiasoft's website it says: " Mature / Blood and Gore / Intense violence / Nudity / Sexual Content". 

 

I also went to the Yangyang Mobile facebook page and actually asked them directly if the actual delay was because of inserting censorship in the game, the response i got:

"Hi! We still don't know whether or not we'll have to censor our PS version. As it haven't been checked yet." 

 

As i know, and it was mentioned by many Indie Devs, that Sony sometimes takes a long ass time to "review" said games to come out on their platform, specially from very small indies. The delay can be an outcome of this. From the response i got, i think this might be exactly the case. Since both other versions for Switch and Xbox are already out, and now there is no specific date for release on PS4 and PS5.

 

I also asked about another game called Love Esquire. Wich is an heavily sexualized dating sim RPG game, with turn based Combat and very spicy CGs in the mix. It's already on Steam and has a January 2022 Switch release! The response i got: "Hi! There are plans for LE (Love Esquire) to go to PS platforms, thought mostly due to our company being very small it's not getting worked on just yet. But it's been on the roadmap for 2022!" 

I'm surprised if this actually comes to PS, maybe it can, but surely and most likely Censored in many ways than one... But we will have to wait and see. For now we still don't even know if The Letter will actually be released.
