Current daily challenge - Description

Managed 4:24 which is 668th atm and just outside tier 1.  Oh well, hopefully some people will crash.  ?

First group b challenge in quite a while (since my last comment) but I haven't got the dlc so today was a new stage to me.

This stage is really high speed in last two sectors.

 

I lose the control on a single bump and that make me lost about 5 seconds....

 

 

I don't have DLC, and this is a disadvantage for me, too.

 

I hope there are some known stage events for Group B tomorrow.

Don't worry, I've got your back. I crashed a few times and ended up at the ass end of tier 2. Next time, maybe.

3:42.955 puts me 2/3 into tier 1, but it's still earrly.

4:02 for me today, not a good run and made a few mistakes, panic was setting in. ?

Mid tier 2 and don't expect that to improve much.

I looked up your time, you didn't use the Audi. You used the Lancia. The only car that handles like a rocket without wings is the Audi, and the advice you have been giving is to go slow, slow in a car with 500+ hp but can't handle itself.

The audi is the easiest group b car to drive, my lancia still has no upgrades either.

 

Just did a quick run in time trial with the audi to make sure I'm not lying and managed 3:35 going pretty safely.

Curious, because I did one run with the Lancia in time trial, and found myself 7 whole seconds faster than my best Audi time. I had no issue with controlling the car in turns or at high speed, just need more practice on the course and a mistake free line  and I too could get into the top 10 % of times.

Might be your assists set up? 

 

The audi is widely considered the easiest of group B to drive, I did a 3:24 going faster now, so it's definitely not the car that's the problem. That said I don't like the audi it feels like a boat compared to the rest but it won't spin out from under you.

 Now I know you're full of it. No one, any where, has ever said that. You're good at the game, congrats, but the game is hard, it doesn't teach you how to play and doesn't want you to learn how to get better. The pitifully simplistic official videos codemasters put out are horrendous and do nothing to teach anyone to play this game


Assists at full, because otherwise the brakes lock the tires going into any corner, the cars slide worse than a 2year old on ice, and wheelspin doesn't seem to really matter I can never get the wheels to grab, need like a super-soft.

 

9/10 attempts have the Audi smash the outside corner in the first curve of Elsthorpe. Definitely not my doing, as I put the car in the middle and am inputting proper amount of throttle. The car just wants to go that way without regard for whats actually happening.

The car is a POS and the second worst thing Audi has done in their history. Codemasters are a collective gorup of jerks to put a trophy related to an online leaderboard, that can only be attempted once every eight days on average.

I dare you to make videos to teach the rest of us scrubs how to be "good" at this "game."

You're over reacting now, keep abs on 5 and traction and stability off, Google it and you'll see the audi is widely regarded as the easiest to drive. Go a bit slower and you won't crash on the first corner.

I have found the settings for that yacht in another thread, cheers to that guy.

 

With no practice i drove a 3.51 time, which put me just a smiiiidge to Tier1. Seting up the car, and sticky tires really helped. I only use low ABS and TCS assists.

 

"I used the following setup i found on the internet by user pol.home (all credits go to him) for gravel stages and the car was much more controllable. Hope it helps:

For me the Audi is the hardest group B car and the easiest is the MG. On a quick trial I managed to do 4:00 but to be on tier 1 I have to do a 3:49 ?

I drove the MG in the classic rally group B championship, it was good fun and enjoyable to drive.

I got that going extra slow on that course.

 

-Yesterday I dropped the ball pretty bad with some serious infractions after posting a time worthy of Tier 1 in time trial mode.

-Today I didn't practice as much and just went for it. 2 seconds slower than I was expecting and that might just be all it takes to keep me out.

I was proud as hell with my yesterdays time, i was about 3sec off T1.

 

Today I Casino Royal'ed myself like Bond with 7+ rolls in the Audi. I just don't like NZ and AU rally track edges and those damn fences.

Practice runs worked well. Improving myself regularly with one section where it was tough to avoid the borders. In the actual challenge I managed to loose allready so much time in the first two sections that the rest of the effort was useless. In practice runs I hardly made mistakes on 2nd and 4th section. Better luck next time. T3 it is once again.
