Well, I'm fond of saying any increase is a good increase - but even I've got to say only going up by 0.02% this week makes that a bit of a stretch. At least I didn't have to do much mental arithmetic to get the weekly increase this time!

 

The negligible rise was pretty much thanks to Among Us randomly releasing a DLC which doesn't look to be paid content thankfully although i haven't properly investigated that yet. Think that'll be a next year project to get the 100% back, which will have the added bonus of netting a helpful Bingo Bonanza 2023 check-off. Slightly irritating nonetheless, ruins my decent streak of S-ranked games this year.

 

This week I've mostly been plugging away at Nightmare mode in Inquisition, trying to get my level up as high as possible before I have to take on the story mission that beat me down repeatedly and horribly on my Normal playthrough. On Nightmare I've managed to do other side missions that I struggled with a bit last time though, so I'm reasonably optimistic I'll be able to actually get through it this time, then it should be relatively plain sailing after that. Also managed to polish off DLC2 so this upcoming week I'm planning to get the story mission parts of DLC3 done and take on the Trials part the week after, meaning I'll at least have a small (but hopefully bigger than 0.02%!) increase to my percentage to report over each of the last two weeks of the year (random DLC releases apart of course!).

 

Also need to find time for Christmas shopping at some point, but I'm sure my family won't mind petrol station presents this year, Inquisition is far more important right now.

I played this after upgrading to PS premium during the sale. This was a game I always was curious about back in the PSOne days, but never wanted to spend what little money I had back then on it over other games. Finally satisfied my curiosity after 25ish years!

 

 Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves (PS3) 2% --> 48%

 

I've been making my way through this with my kids a little every week. So far I like it more than Sly 2, but not as much as Sly 1. Pretty forgettable so far without annoying me like Sly 2 did. My kids enjoy watching it though, so I guess that's the reason I'm playing it in the first place.

Since I started Sly 3 with my kids, the final minigame on this collection opened up. I don't know why these are on their own trophy list, but I made my way through them in roughly 15 minutes. It's just a collection of totally throw-away minigames.

 

 Lucky's Tale (PSVR) 72% --> 90%

 

Got all of the collectibles out of the way, and got the bronze medal times on all 12 levels. All that is left is the gold medal times. I've manage 4 of 12 so far and really struggling. I have no idea how the platinum rate for this game is so high. The time requirements for the gold medals are brutal. Now, If you know me in real life, I'm a pretty calm person, but I have never in my life been so close to throwing my controller through the television screen. I WILL get this platinum. I won't let that fox's smug little face beat me. But I may space out my play sessions with this game as I complete it to keep my blood pressure down lol.

A friend at work and I decided to start this game since we both have been wanting to play it and it would give us something to talk about. I'm only a couple hours in and I like it, but I'm.... let's just say not so good at the game yet. I'm looking forward to getting better.

 

Up Next:

 

Now that the World Cup is over my game time should be a little more consistent. I managed to watch every minute of every game and loved it. The France v Argentina Final was easily the most exciting sporting event I've ever seen. Once I got beyond my yearly goal of 85% a few months ago, I was going to keep going and try to get to 90%, but that's not going to happen. So I think I will keep playing what I'm the middle of and probably start a few more games that I've been eyeing just so long as my % doesn't go below 85%.  I will shoot for getting that 90% next year. I think I'll post a wrap-up for the year in a couple weeks.

Didn't have a ton of game time this week but I managed to finish R&C: Rift Apart late last night. I enjoyed and relished my time with it however briefly. This brought me to 92.04% completion but today I started God of War: Ragnarok so it'll drop back down on the next sync.

after the persona 5 royal platinum trophie i revisited the trophie list from rocket league it seems difficult i think i go for rocket league platinum trophie assasins creed 2 also conan exiles maybe and saints row gat out of hell is also almost finished but man i hope i can finish those games of

Whoa! Got the platinum! An ultra rare of 1.31% ☺️. I did the heavy lifting of this platinum already many years ago, I just had some trophies left. Pretty happy about this one!

 

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege - PS4

A game a played on a regularly basis many years ago. Had some trophies left of which : Meat Wall Eliminate an opponent with a Breach Charge in Quick Match/Ranked Multiplayer the more difficult was. Especially since the breach charge itself is hardly lethal. I got it by surprise by just playing the game. I was just extremely lucky that a wounded opponent stayed to close to a window I did breach....what I now have left should be doable. But I am just enjoying the game and see which ones will pop until I start really focusing on them.

i am doing all the missable trophies from devil may cry 5 i enjoy trophie hunting since i joined late this event so the trophies  i unlocked 3 of them from mission 2 mission 16 mission 9 so i am having fun with trophie hunting i first geniuly had no clue about my backlog wich ones to finish but now i just go for it and i see how far i can get with the games i got

Merry Christmas my peeps!

 

I have spent all of this week playing God of War:Ragnarok. I have beaten the final boss and am currently doing the end game mop up. I enjoyed the story but they really doubled down on the RPG mechanics and that's just not GoW to me. I beat the 2018 game on normal and I started on normal for this one but after an hour I got annoyed with the combat and just set it to very easy. I enjoyed the old school games on hard but those were far shorter and I enjoyed the combat far more. Not sure where the series goes from here but it has been a hell of a ride.

Still playing Dragon Quest Heroes for the winter challenge, just have to grind out the last few side quests and bosses there. Nabbed a few more trophies in Raiden IV and Velocity 2X, that prompted me to give Jamestown+ another try since it's another shmup that's been on my trophy list forever. Made decent progress, but now I've hit the point where I'd really have to practice and put time into any of them to keep making progress. Not ready to do that yet, so I'll probably drop them for now. But I did finally pick up Gleylancer and nab that easy plat. Knocked out Pinball Heroes as well since it was "free" and easy.

 

Home stretch! Going to try and hit 58% before the end of the year.

Hello everyone, I've missed the last updates but I'm back for the last one for this year. These past weeks were not productive in terms of trophies at all, I did try to keep making progress though and I'm moving well for Babylon's Fall raids so I can get the last trophies on that one. However I've been kinda down and ended up sinking a lot of time just playing genshin impact. I struggle with some motivation issues from time to time and that also affects my gaming life but sometimes it gives me the opportunity to reevaluate stuff and like some other people said in this thread I've felt I've been postponing some games that I've really wanted to play instead of others less interesting for me just for the sake of completion, so for next year I'll change how I attack my backlog. Also I did not get to my target rate but I'm pretty satisfied with my 5% increase and I'll stick with 5% from now on which seems doable and healthy for me, definitely joining again next year cause this event is really fun! Also 51 completed games was my best year! So happy holidays and new year everyone!

Overwatch 2 - PS5 - 63% - Got some trophies related to matches and couldn't boost at all anymore, people just don't show or when they do we couldn't find a match, also the heroes being locked on the battle pass sucks a lot and there are still bugged trophies... I wonder how big companies like blizzard and epic (fall guys also bugged) can't fix multi-plat sync issues with trophies while Hoyoverse do it flawlessly on genshin...

It's done! After 14 years I have finally reached 100% completion in BioShock, the first game I ever got a trophy in.

 

The Worlds of Hurt - Expert trophy was a b!tch to say the least. Took me a solid 3-4 hours of save scumming to finally beat it in under 15 minutes. I got real close a couple of times - 15:03:000 and a mind boggling 15:00:003 - before I squeezed in at 14:59:859. Suffice it to say, my heart was pounding. 

 

For the last week of 2022, I think I will attempt to get 1 or 2 more platinums from new games. Which ones though...

A day later than normal, you can blame the fat dude in the red suit for that (or the son of God, but I'm in enough trouble with him as it is)

 

Another week with not much to report really, time has been a bigger enemy than any demons, dragons or mad wizards could possibly be. Still plugging away at Nightmare mode, and successfully negotiated the story mission I struggled horribly with on the Normal run with barely a broken sweat this time - it's almost as if I've learned a few things over the last 150-odd hours. A couple of subsequent quests have proved to be slightly more challenging than I remember though, but still making my way through them relatively trouble-free.

 

The trophy progress this week has been completing the story mode of DLC3 which was, despite being plagued by monster lag near the end, an enjoyable few hours. Still, as I was playing on Casual mode, no biggie, just a mild inconvenience. Not yet decided whether to take on the remaining "Trials" trophies of DLC3 over the next week like I planned or just concentrate on finishing off Nightmare mode for the plat -  it would be a bit irritating not posting any trophy progress at all for the final update of the year here but I do quite fancy leaving pinging the plat until early January (or, next week) to get an early 8/10 difficulty in the books for the Difficulty Challenge 2023. Suppose I could always pop a random trophy on something else on my list entirely if I decide it's a big deal. The main factor behind what I end up deciding to do will be dependent on how much progress I get through the story in the early part of this week - I think I've only got three majorly lengthy story quests left to beat now. Whether I need to level up a bit more to take them on remains to be seen.

 

One final push to the summit then.

Still a couple of days to go in this year and with this year's event. I made some more than decent progress. My overall increase this year has been 6.03% which is super nice! With still couple of days to go....

I mopped up the obtainable trophies. Unfortunately I will not be able to platinum it anymore. But got this one done too.

 

FIFA 18 - PS4

While I was playing FIFA (I play FIFA23 on a different account) I thought I better start working on this version too. Made some progress which will be continued in 2023.

 

Rainbow Six Siege - PS4

Really loving the game at the moment. I have reached rank 50 now and can try to get some trophies related on ranked play (which you are only allowed after rank 50) . To be continued

What's in a name ☺️. This is the per-successor of Rocket league. I saw the announcement that the servers will be closing down January 2023 so I did grab all the online trophies.

Oh wow, it's been a number from my last update.

 

Assassins Creed II (40ish?% -> 88%):

I've completed just about everything in the game, just have to finish the story. Saving that for the new year for my bingo card

 

A Rose in the Twilight (86% -> 100%):

Finished up the time attack stuff, while hard, was able to knock it out. I really love this style of game (except the time attack, could have done without that part) but this was a great game. Highly recommend.

 

Gris (40% -> 100%):

I'm confused on how I feel about this game. The game was pretty and relaxing but didn't understand the "story" at all. Maybe that is on me. oh well. Got the PS5 upgrade, will do that one next year as well.

 

Deponia (0% -> 100%):

I enjoyed this one! The other two that are still on the PS store were on deep discount so picked them up. Will play next year. Need to start creating my other region accounts, so I can get the third one so I can complete the series lol.

 

Stick it to the Man (0% -> 100%):

This was a fun little platform puzzler. It was a recommendation when I posted a status asking for more vita recommendations, since I love the vita and am running out of games to play lol. The PS4 version is on sale as well.. Maybe I should pick it up... Hmmm.
