GAME #1 - Dragon Ball Z Battle Of Z - Preview

 

 

I've heard a lot of mixed reviews about it, some saying it's great, some saying it's as bad as ultimate tenkaichi (don't know if that's possible), and the developer of this game, Artdink, is all over the place, they're up since '88, developing mostly sim games and RPG's, so yeah, don't really know what i'm getting into, but i recently watched the Super Hero movie, so i'm down for some dbz.

Game #1 Preview:

I saw this game on sale recently and it looked like fun.  I'm not exactly sure, but it looks like it's some kind of "bullet-hell" where you're supposed to get hit by some but avoid others.  Or maybe you need to hit the right button to absorb different ones.  Whatever it is, it looks like it could get hectic.  Also, no one on PSNP has the platinum yet.  There's only 85 owners tracked though, so maybe it's just difficult?  Guess I'll find out!

Game #1 Preview

 

Actually got the platinum in this in my last account so I am confident I can get a decent chunk of trophies in this first week. I decided this over Disgaea 5 because the Disgaea grind is a bit more tedious. I am going to try to psyche myself up because three hours non-stop is a chore. I might have to take breaks because I have to leave the house today as this week we are hopefully getting my future gaming cove kitted out and ready to live in(aka no houseflies, air conditioning and a working kitchen for snacks and bathroom because I am not a robot. ??)

Alright, back again! I think this might be my 15th KYC event. I’m going the 6 game/5 day route. 
Here’s the List:

1. Dawn of Man (PS4) - Caveman simulator? I like strategy games live Civilization, this seems like a mix of Civ and Command & Conquer.
2. Red Dead Redemption II (PS4) - I’ve been missing a grand scale game that I will need to sink 100 hours into. Not looking forward to MP trophies.
3. Where the Water Tastes Like Wine (PS4) - I know literally nothing about this game. Did I really buy it??
4. Hot Wheels Unleashed (PS5) - Checks two boxes; a PS+ game and a Driving game. And will be played on my brand new PS5!  Took forever to find one…
5. Procession to Cavalry (PS4) - This game looks dumb and stupid, but I need a short game in this time slot as I will be out of town for most of it.
6. The Saboteur (PS3) - Time to dust off the PS3! This game is probably my oldest backlog game - maybe close to 10 years. It involves history (my forte), so seems promising…

Game #1 - Blair Witch - Preview

Genre: Survival Horror

Price: 29,99€

 

 

That game image is the movie in a nutshell. Full disclosure, I thought the movie was utter garbage. So I'm really hoping the game is more enjoyable to experience.

 

I've played two other titles by these devs (Layers of Fear and Observer). Layers of Fear is still one of my favorite horror games, I guess I generally prefer psuchological horror over the survival variant.

 

Might not actually start this one today nor tomorrow, as I kind of want to finish my playthrough of Deadlight first, but we'll see, Blair Witch is supposed to be fairly short, so I should have enough time to play a good chunk of it, before I have to switch games.

 

 

Disclaimer: I'll be playing all games on the PS5. So when it comes to give info about performance, it's to be taken with a pinch of salt. Unless it runs like absolute arse, despite of running on a  more powerful system.

If that's the case, you deserve a refund. Whether of the game for being a jerk team of devs or the PS5 for failing to live up to its expectations.

 

I'd return my PS5 if I hadn't paid 30% more for it off some Amazon Prime server because all I play on it... are PS4 games.

 

Just finished day 1/5 on my first game. I am checking the in-game time to stay honest as one could just AFK for three hours and call it a day. ?

Absolutely agree. Hard to believe you could ever get lost in Maryland of all places. And, those fools found a stream! Hello? Just follow it downstream as it will lead to a bigger stream, etc. etc. and lead you out of the woods. Rivers don’t run in circles!

But that would require BRAINS, and it's a common trope for the characters who becomes victims of horroric abominations in horror movies to have the brain size of Tyrannosaurs. Otherwise, nobody would die and the movie would bomb.

Game 1 preview

The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles

 

Hey everyone it's been awhile but where back and I'm going to start with a game series I'm familiar with I played the original ace attorney games back on 3ds and loved them I'm really sad at Capcom for not releasing a new game in the series in years but I'm excited to play these games in the series that previously only in Japan I'm hoping this sales well enough and maybe Capcom will localize the Edgeworth's games because Miles is definitely one of my favorite characters and I would love to see him in a more propagandistic light. Also I've heard great things about these games apparently this is a prequel set in 19th century England and that sounds like a amazing time period and location so I'm excited to play as Phenix Wright ancestor (I think) so lets get this started.

It just had noticeable frame drops throughout the game. PS5 version was fine though , from what I remember.
