iamthedotcom
It happens every console generation and is actually probably a healthy part of the industry. It's hard to uncouple from the previous generation with their huge install base, so companies use this as an opportunity to make easy-ish money to fund their next big project, while simultaneously learning some of the nuance of the current generation. All that said, I'm just an old gamer who knows fuck-all about the actual software/development cycle, so I could be incredibly wrong.
DrBloodmoney
I'd imagine it probably feels that way to the OP, since of 11 PS5 games on their profile 7 (63% of them) are either remakes or remasters... ....but that's a personal choice on his/her part to only use the console to play those games. For my part, of the 74 PS5 games I've played, only 13 of them (11% of the total) are remakes or remasters, so I'd say no, that seems like a relatively slim number really. CelestialRequiem
I think Sony themselves are choosing to deliver familiar experiences instead of new ones.
GT__Jedi
I welcome any remakes - especially games I always wanted to play but never picked up. Being remastered for the PS5 is fantastic!
Jeanolt
Apart from RE4 and Sotc there's still a lot of my favourites games from PS2/PSP that hasn't been remade, so I'd say not. Like where is Guitar Hero and Gow 1&2 Remake!??
espjh2
Remakes / remasters of the games you love is a good thing.
