Popular Post Abby_TheLastofUs Posted April 29 Popular Post Share Posted April 29 (edited) Sonic x Shadow Giveaway Ok, I'll be redoing this to make it less complicated, and to allow people to change their avatar/signature back in less than 6–8 months and not be disqualified. I'll repost the thread on the 1st of May with the new rules. I'm leaving this one open for now so that people can vote on how they want the prize to work. I'm throwing another giveaway in celebration of the release of 'Sonic x Shadow Generations' this fall. I was planning on doing this as my third giveaway this year, but I moved it up. There will be 10 random winners that will each win a $10 PSN gift card, so read on if you're interested in taking part. Ok, some people feel like $10 is too low for what this contest demands, so let me know if you'd rather there be fewer but larger prizes. If enough people want the prize to be of greater value at the cost of fewer winners, then I will change how the prize works. Rules are pretty simple. 1. Below you will find a selection of Sonic x Shadow avatars and signatures. You must pick one of each and make them your avatar and signature until the release of 'Sonic x Shadow Generations' this fall. 2. Once you have entered, you can not change your avatar, or remove your choice of signature until the game releases. Doing either will mean you are disqualified. This means keeping the avatar/signature combo until at least August, and possibly until December. 3. You have until the 20th of May to enter. 4. Those that keep their Sonic x Shadow avatar/signature combo until the game is released, will enter into a draw whereby ten names will be selected randomly, with each winning a $10 PSN gift card. 5. I will try to buy a gift card that's the same region as the winners accounts, but will be a US gift card if I'm not able to. 6. The avatars and signatures are SFW, but mods, tell me if any breaks the forum's rules and I'll replace them. Like I said, entering is easy enough, but there's more to do if you want to increase your chances of winning. 1. On the 1st of June, I will open up the giveaway to sponsored entries. That is, if you're someone that entered before the first deadline, you can refer someone new to enter. 2. Getting someone else to enter will mean that your name will be entered into the draw twice, increasing your chances of winning. 3. I will open up sponsorship entries several times until the game is released, and each time you get a person to enter the contest, your name will be entered into the draw an additional time. 4. Sponsorship entries will be open for 48 hours after each time I open them up. 5. You can only sponsor a single person each time it's opened up. 6. Do not pester people into joining. If there are reports that you've been harassing people to enter the giveaway, you'll probably be disqualified. 7. Each subsequent time I open up sponsorship entries, people that joined in the last round of sponsorships can sponsor someone themselves. So, for example: Person A can sponsor Person B on the 1st of June Person B can sponsor Person C on the 1st of July And so on. 9. Sponsored entries will also increase their chances of winning by sponsoring someone, but the members that entered in the first round will always have an advantage. For example: When Person B sponsors Person C, their name will be entered into the draw twice, but because Person B was also sponsored by Person A, Person C's sponsorship entry will also go towards Person A. So, Person A's name will be entered into the draw thrice, while Person B's name will be entered twice. If Person C sponsors someone, then their name will be entered twice, Person B's will be entered thrice, and Person A's will be entered four times. So it pays to enter before the initial deadline. 10. Having your name drawn more than once does not mean you can win more than one gift card. It just increases your chances of winning one gift card. If there's anything you find unclear, don't hesitate to ask for clarification. I will update this post to answer whatever questions you have about the giveaway. And finally, if by some miracle this giveaway reaches 400 entries before the game is released, I will increase the total prize to $200, and there will be 20 winners instead of 10. All the best for anyone that enters but it's not for me. Fair enough, I'll change it so that you can't get disqualified for the actions of someone else, but you will lose that sponsorship +1 draw. So if the person you sponsor gets disqualified, you lose the extra draw, but you continue on normally otherwise. I also added a poll to see if people would prefer to win a larger single prize, instead of ten winners. I might make changes depending on the feedback. Go to your profile (you can get there by clicking on your username), then click on your profile picture on the left to change your avatar. Your profile picture is the white M with the purple background. To change your signature, click on your name on the top right (next to the bell and letter symbols), then click account settings and then signature. Copy one of the signatures in the opening post and paste in under the signature part of your profile. I'll include a quick guide when I redo the thread.
