Popular Post DarkPirate2007
DarkPirate’s Basilicom of Trophies I didn’t start earning trophies until November of 2012. Since then, I’ve been hoarding a lot of trophies. Granted I don’t have that many platinums since I didn’t officially became a trophy hunter when I started out. However that’s changed a few months ago when I first came to this website around either March or April. I’ve own the PS3 for over a year now, it may be the fat version, but I had a 250GB installed to have more space. My library of games are mostly made up of RPGs/JRPGs, I’ve always been into those kinds of games ever since I was a kid when I first played Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. That was the first RPG game that I ever played and beaten. And since then, I’ve been playing so many RPGs over the years that I’ve lost count of them all. Anywho, that’s it about me. Now let’s get started on this checklist. Platinum #1: Jak & Daxter I haven’t had this much fun of playing this game since its PS2 days. And just like the PS2 version, I’ve managed to get everything in one playthrough, even the extra Power Cell. Above all, the graphics were amazing. Platinum #2: Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch This game is a lot like Pokemon only with free roaming in battles, I absolutely adore playing this game. Besides the main character, the two other protagonists have their own story in the game as well as their own motives. The gameplay and graphics are incredible as well as the music. I am a bit disappointed of the final boss battle though. It seems a little too easy if you ask me. Long story short, if you want to play a JRPG game, I highly recommend this game. Platinum #3: Persona 4 Golden I don’t know where to start since this is one of the best games I’ve ever played as well as my first Vita platinum I ever earned. I haven’t had the chance to play this game when it first came out for the PS2 a few years back, but I made up for it by playing this game. Anyway, I really learn a lot in this game since it gave out a lot of life lessons about accepting who you are as a person, both good and bad. I definitely can relate myself with each of the characters and I find Nanako simply adorable, makes me wish she was my little sister. Anyway, this game does have their tearjerker moments and I’m not ashamed to admit that I did cry in some of those moments. Especially on that specific date that should never be mentioned. The soundtrack is also amazing since I’ve download the whole soundtrack on both my laptop and PS3. This game has a very high replay value, even if you have all of the trophies. Platinum #4: Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory I really enjoy playing this game because Neptune is the main character and she’s hilarious. This game always keep breaking the fourth wall and making fun of the gaming industry of today. The gameplay has improved from mk2 as it lets you activate HDD without building up your SP. The characters are alright, even though they made Nepgear into punching bag. Well, not really a punching bag, more like a jester. The storyline is a bit bland, but not boring. Like all the other Neptunia games, the music is extraordinary. Platinum #5- Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII Out of all of the Final Fantasy XIII trilogies, this one is my favorite. Unlike the first two games, this game is open world where you can vastly explore just about everywhere. This game also reminded me of Final Fantasy X-2 with the Dresspheres, and changing Light’s different outfits and weapons. I always knew that Lightning was incredibly attractive and gorgeous. I also like how this game was timed since it adds suspense telling you that you don’t have time to waste or screw around. If you use the chronostasis wisely, then you’ll be able to do everything before the thirteenth day. Platinum #6: Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2 This game has definitely improved from the first game, and they even fixed the healing system. Okay, I don’t know where this game takes place since the first game never mentions anything about the ASIC war and whatnot. Anyway, I did enjoy playing this game, but Nepgear is just too gullible and naïve. Neptune may not be as smart as her sister, but even she’s not that gullible. Above all, the game is pretty fun with different multiple endings, including the bad one. Platinum # 7: Sonic Generations This game is definitely one of the best Sonic games that I ever played since the Sega Genesis days. Not only you get to play as Classic or Modern Sonic, but you also get to replay all of the stages throughout the history of Sonic the Hedgehog games of the past. It’s too bad that some of the good stages are on the 3DS port. I really wanted to play Mushroom Hill and Speed Highway on the big screen. Anyway, there are a few things on this game that I really don’t like. For one, this game is incredibly short. On the 360 version, I managed to beat this game in a day. Two, the challenges were really annoying to complete and very frustrating to accomplished. And lastly, the final boss is a joke. The plus side is that using Classic Sonic to play through some of Modern Sonic’s levels in 2-D and the same with Modern Sonic to play in 3-D through Classic Sonic’s. Platinum #8: Ratchet & Clank All 4 One Not much to say about this game, except for the fact that the multiplayer sucks and very unreliable. You be better off beating the game yourself since some people on the game tends to be either deadweight or just trying to kill you out of their sheer amusement. Platinum #9: Sly Cooper Thieves in Time (Vita) This is definitely one of the best Sly Cooper games I ever played in the series, and I had to admit it was really fun. There are a few trophies that were really hard to get like the 8-Bit Bentley trophy, but it took me a few tries but I finally got it. The gameplay was very addictive, but the final boss was bit of a disappointment. But the epilogue makes up for it. Platinum # 10: Conception II Children of the Seven Stars I have to say this is one of the most addictive Vita games that I ever played since Persona 4 Golden. This game is not as good as Persona 4 Golden, but I really do enjoy the soundtrack. The main character is definitely slow when it comes to romance and listening to his "Definitely" or Alright!" can be very annoying. All of the labyrinths are very tedious as they kept adding more floors just to reach the boss of that chapter. As for the girls, each of them are very unique and attractive in their own way. If I have to choose between them, I say my favorites are Fuuko, Serina, Ellie, and Torri. I really wish I have a girlfriend like Fuuko or Ellie and I really like Serina's tsundere personality. Platinum # 11: Sly Cooper Thieves in Time (PS3) Like I said from the Vita version, this is still one of the best platformer that I've ever played. It's a good thing that this game has the cross-save feature where I can transfer my Vita save file unto the PS3 version of the game and instantly unlocks all of the trophies that I've earned on the Vita version. This game is a lot fun, but no way in hell do I want to go through all that again since it took me forever to earn all of the trophies on the Vita version. Some of those were very hard to do. Platinum #12- Atelier Ayesha: Alchemist of Dusk l'll admit I never was a fan of the series when I first played Rorona a year ago since it was extremely boring. But a friend of mine suggested I should give this one a try, and I have to say that she was right to recommend this game. This game do have its pros and cons like I can't create any of the characters weapons that I have to get them by defeating monsters and sometimes they don't give out really high quality ones. As far as the soundtrack goes, absolutely breathtaking. I mean, all of the music was simply intoxicating that I'm thinking about downloading the soundtrack to my computer. I did, however, played this game second since I played the second chapter of the Dusk series first. But I'll tell you more about that once I platinum it. Long story short, I would definitely recommend this game to anyone who has yet to play the Atelier series or those who would like to have another try at it like I did. Platinum #13- Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky This is by far my favorite one of the entire Atelier series. Unlike the others, this game has a very unique battle system where you can switch with the party members that you have on standby. Also, the characters are in sync whenever they speak and they don't keep moving their mouths as they did on Ayesha. The only thing I'm a bit disappointed is the music on some of the bosses. They're not as epic as the music from the past games, but the battle theme makes up for it. As for the two protagonists, each of them are unique in their own way. However, when it comes to strength, Escha definitely takes it since her ultimate attack item is a lot stronger than Logy's if set up with the right properties. Logy is nearly as strong as Escha, and he also have high endurance. The main reason why I didn't earn this platinum sooner is because I originally thought that I have to fight the final boss when she's at level 99. But thanks to Royalredpanda's advice, only breaking one of the honeycombs will still count towards the trophy and I really want to thank her for that. I could never have the platinum if it weren't for her. Platinum #14- Atelier Meruru: The Apprentice of Arland It's true what everyone said that the Arland series of Atelier are a lot harder than the Dusk series, but it's certainly not impossible to do. I really had fun playing this game and the main character is so adorable. I really love her upbeat personality and sense of humor. The other characters are cool as well, and there those who are just plain unique. I'm looking at you, Ms. Astrid, you witch. Anyway, like all of the Atelier games I played, they have an incredible soundtrack as well as battle animations of their special attacks. I personally like Sterk's since his special reminded me of Linca's, but his is a little different. As for the boss battles, they’re just as epic. Though I do kind of wish that once the game has ended, you get to pick which ending to go for. But instead, they go by the list and the one that's the most prioritize would trigger. And also wish that they have the red exclamation marks to tell when the character events are available. Other than that, it's a really fun game to play. Platinum #15: Dragon's Crown I really have fun playing this game, it reminds me of that one arcade game that I played when I was a kid but I can't remember the name. Anyway, the whole gameplay is pretty straight-forward and I really like the medieval and fantasy theme. My main character that I use in that game is the elf, I really love playing as her and her attacks are quick and agile. Her attacks may be weak, but she makes up for it for her defense and agility. This game is so addictive that they added three more difficulties to make the game more challenging, even the optional dungeons are challenging. I definitely recommend playing this game if you're looking for an old-fashioned hack & slash style, or as one of your starting Vita games. Platinum #16: Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1 I really have fun playing this game and it's definitely an improvement with the original Hyperdimension Neptunia game. The game is definitely a lot challenging since I did got beaten by a lot of bosses in the game even with the grinding. But luckily, I had experience with both mk2 and Victory so it wasn't that bad. Though I do admit that there are some bugs in this game that seems a bit confusing, like Peashy has Nepgear's voiceclips while in her CPU form it's back to normal. Anyway, I really do enjoy this story a lot more than the original and Neptune is just as random as ever. This is also my very first ultra rare platinum that I've earned and I'm on the top 20 of the people who platinum this game in the world. If you're a HDN fan or really enjoy grinding jRPG games, then I highly recommend this game. Platinum #17: Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale It's been a year and I've finally earn a platinum to this game, and it's mostly because it was free for Plus this month. Anyway, this game is kind of like Smash Brothers. but entirely different. But this game has a lot of modern day characters as well as some from when we were kids. Well, those who were kids in the 90s like myself. I suppose I did enjoy playing the game and earning most of multiplayer trophies was a lot of fun with earning them with friends. However, the servers are extremely bad as well as the matchmaker. And most of the time, there will be some cheap players who would abuse the same moves over and over again. As for the characters, there are some I'm really good playing as and there are others where I'm not. To be precise, I'm really good when it comes to a character who are quick on their feet and has fast attacks. If I have to choose, then the characters are Kat, Dante, Raiden, and Spike. This game is fun to play when you're with friends and I really recommend it. Platinum #18: Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc I'll admit, I thought I would hated this game because it was a Visual Novel. But I was wrong, this game was actually pretty fun. Fifteen students got trapped in a high school by an unusual bear and your only chance of escaping is to kill one of them and don't get caught. I believe that this game is a mixture between Persona 4 and Ace Attorney, and also somewhat of a dating sim. Anyway, the story mode was a lot of fun. Definitely a lot of violence, I'll give you that. And it also blow your mind away with a lot of plot twists . There are some characters death that I even shed some tears for, which is why you need to be careful of not getting too attached to any of the characters. If you're a fan of solving a murder mystery and enjoy playing Visual Novels, then I highly recommend this game. Platinum #19: Borderlands 2 Normally, I don't like playing shooter games. But I made an exception with this one since it has RPG elements and it's also very addictive. Borderlands 2 is a lot more fun than the first game with better weapons and storyline. The only thing I don't like about this game was finding that little, robotic bastard, Jimmy Jenkins. I've spent the last hour in Opportunity looking for him while dealing with the other loot robots. Anyway, this game is definitely a lot of fun when playing with others and I also enjoy playing as Gaige. She's so adorkable, and wish I have a friend like her. Platinum #20: The Legend of Korra I'll admit, I was skeptical about this game at first being based off from the show. But I was wrong, the whole story was completely original and interesting. The actual game itself was surprisingly good, despite what some reviewers had said about it. This is a very easy platinum and a very addictive game, I'll admit that some parts can be a bit challenging on the first playthrough, even on Casual. The only thing I'm disappointed was that the game was too short. Kinda wish it was a little longer and also get to play as the other characters from the show. In conclusion, Extreme mode was incredibly easy when you have the right items as well as maxing out your air bending skills. If you're a fan of the show or just looking for an easy platinum, I highly recommend this game. Platinum #21: Ar nosurge: Ode to An Unborn Star I'll be very honest, I enjoy the game's soundtrack a lot more than the actual game itself. Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy playing the game from beginning to end it's just that the music definitely makes up for it. This also marks my very first platinum earned in 2015, and I'm glad that I made this game as my first platinum I earned this year. Besides the music, the battle animations was just as amazing along with everything else. The only thing that bothered me the most would be the True Ending, it kind left me an empty feeling. Anyway, this is a very good game and I highly recommend it for those who enjoy playing JRPGs and this game is also an easy platinum. Platinum # 22: X-Men Destiny It's been forever since I've last played an X-Men game, and at first I thought that this game was kind of like X-Men Legends from the PS2 but I was way off. Anyway, my favorite power to use is definitely shadow matter whenever I'm facing a mob of enemies. There are a few problems in this game that I really don't like. For one, the game is super short. And two, the camera angles is really terrible making it really hard to fight both enemies and bosses alike. If you're looking for an easy platinum, then you can definitely earn this one within a day or two. Platinum #23: Dust- An Elysian Tail My Very first PS4 platinum to earn and it's a very good one to start with. I don't know where to begin with this game, the graphics was simply breathtaking as well as the music. Though I'll admit that the story is a bit cliche with the main character having amnesia while finding out who he was before he lost his memory. I don't want to spoil the details for those who haven't played yet, so I'll just leave it at that. As for the battles, definitely a hack & slash type of game which is one of my old favorites. I managed to get this game while it was free on Plus a few months ago when I didn't have a PS4 at the time and it's a good thing that I got it when I did. In conclusion, I absolutely adore this game and all of the characters. And it can be very humorous at times that I did laugh at some of the parts. I highly recommend this game if you're looking for a good hack & slash/action-rpg or if you're starting out your PS4. Platinum #24: Final Fantasy Type-0 I'll have to admit, this is definitely the most easiest Final Fantasy games to platinum. Even easier than Lightning Returns for that matter, and that's saying something. Anyway, the storyline is alright but what I really enjoy was the gameplay. Even though the game is a bit short, I did spent most of my time doing a lot of side quests, including the most challenging ones. This game is definitely worth it, and I highly recommend playing this game and enjoy it to the fullest as well as taking your time to complete it since it's a really short game. TheLastSurvivorD
Great list DarkPirate! Nice job on the Atelier games, and it was pretty easy getting all of the achievements in Sonic Gen. The final boss was a bit hard which only made this trophy harder. Can't Touch This Keep it up! Can't wait to see what else you're going to add to the Basilicom... DarkPirate2007
I'll be sure to remember that when I decide to try out an Atelier Game. I would suggest starting with the Dusk series since it's the easiest. Love the list especially Jak & Daxter and Hyperdimension Neptunia, I am so jealous of your Sonic Generations Platinum, I wish i had one. Well, at least you got the challenges out of the way. Great list DarkPirate! Nice job on the Atelier games, and it was pretty easy getting all of the achievements in Sonic Gen. The final boss was a bit hard which only made this trophy harder. Some of items I wanted was only Escha's playthrough. I'm just lucky that I had Knowledge Book during Logy's playthrough with pretty good properties. DarkPirate2007
Well, bought myself two new games today and I have to say I know how to pick them. They're both NISA games and like all of them, you know that they have a good storyline as well as some humor. The two games I bought are Disgaea D2 and Mugen Souls Z. I have heard that Mugen Souls Z was a lot better than the first game, though I don't know the reason why. I'm guessing it has to do with gameplay wise.
