I might change my mind, but right now I'm leaning towards sitting out the next edition of Platinum Rain Day. For me, PRD is in the same category with marriage or donating a kidney, as things you would prefer to do only once. I had fun and enjoyed the event, just don't think I'm ready for another round. Still, good luck to everyone participating again or for the first time.

Dragon, I do have a quick question since you are using the same thread. Will there be an archive section in the OP that shows the list of participants and their plats for past PRD's or are you going to completely erase everything and only show the current PRD lists?

Well this is my list so far for the next PRD. Its a long list but i hope this will motivate me to complete some games of my backlog. There is still 7 monts left so there will probably change a lot in this list aswell.

I will definitely go for this platinum, also because i want that fancy platinum rank for the GTA PP but wheter im going to use it for the PRD or not is something i'll see when the time comes. I might just get the plat whenever i get the chance to because i just want to get it over with ^^

I have a couple of s*** games that I could get all but one trophy in (Where the Wild Things Are and De Blob 2 (...)

 

Advice: For De Blob 2, be aware of the trophy "Keepin' it real" which means you have to finish the 10 levels with the basic stats/features of your character, without upgrading anything (the inspiration bulb icon you can find in levels). It will make the later levels much more difficult due to enemy's stronger strike force, but at least you'll not have have to play levels twice. I say that because it easily takes 1 to 2 hours to finish just one level, and maybe more to get all the collectibles.

General Information
Welcome all to this event to pop at least 10 platinum trophies on a single day. Now before you get the wrong idea: this doesn't mean start 10 games and finish them the same day. The idea is to play the games and purposely don't plat them yet. Yes I'm aware this requires some restraint (ok, a lot of restraint), but I believe in you, I really do. And I don't mean that lousy faith teachers are pretty much forced to have in their students as part of their job, but real faith.
 
You can unlock more plats if you want and play any game you like (even auto-popping cross-saves is allowed). Whatever makes you happy, as long as you obtain them legit. Note: using a save file from other people or your second console to auto-pop games with no cross-save feature is against Sony's rules and is considered hacking. Doing so will result in an immediate ban from this event and earning a one-way trip to study the stomach of my pet dragon (although it might not go in this order). You've been warned. 
 
Don't forget to back up your save files after a plat is ready to pop. There's a lot that can happen between now and January 1st and the last thing you'd want is to do it all over again. If you have PS+ you can upload save files (even copy-protected ones) to Sony's cloud. To do that, go to the save file folder on the XMB (PS3), press   , and copy them to the cloud. On the PSVita go to data management and you can save a copy on the cloud.
 
The goal: is to unlock at least 10 plats per participant on a single day between January 1st and 3rd 2016 and you can start immediately. While doing that, keep posting your progress and pretty much anything else you'd like to share. Events like these are a great way to meet new people and make some friends. I know the title says "Let's Unlock 10 plats", but that's just the minimum amount everyone should do. You can unlock a lot more if you want. There also won't be a countdown timer. After you've celebrated the new year to your heart's content and made that list of new year's resolutions (which you aren't planning to follow anyway), you can pop the plats. Please keep posting your progress and have fun. After unlocking your plats on January 1st, you can post them here and also flood the Most Recent Platinum thread. When you post them here, please add the small platinum images too. That way you'll also be making our job easier.
 

With January drawing near, it's time to elaborate on some things, so please pay attention. After popping your plats and flooding the Most Recent Platinum thread, please post them here in the thread using a specific layout. By that I mean the game name with a small plat image, rarity, and the game genre (see example below). The image can be copied from the trophy log on your PSN Profile and you can choose the genre from the list below. This will make our job significantly easier.

On January 5 we (the admins) will go through all that, this should give everyone more than enough time to sync their trophies in time. Counting the plats and working on the stats and categories is expected to take about 3-4 days. After that time we'll post a spreadsheet with the results. But the event won't be over, because you still have to vote for the Most Beautiful Plats that were unlocked between Jan 1-3. Participants can vote up to 10 plats (ranked 1-10, with 1 being the highest place) and the voting period lasts 1 week. Afterwards we'll gather the results and add them to the spreadsheet. Afterwards the first PRD has come to an end and more information will be posted about the next PRD. If you have some feedback you can post that along with your votes.

 

 

Rules

• All trophies must be obtained legit.
• Only people without hacked games can join, unless they start a new account and unlock trophies legit.
• Using cross-saves is allowed.
• You can change the games at any time, just be sure to tell me.
• All games with a plat count, whether you've already started it or not doesn't matter.
• Popping 10 plats is just the minimum amount, you can go for more if you want.
• Remember to have fun!

 

Cross-Over Events
Behold PSNP's first cross-over events.

• If anyone is planning on platting Pier Solar and the Great Architects, take a look at damon's Let's Get the Pier Solar Plat event. Saving a single trophy (besides the 2 trophies for completing the Eternal Slip mini-game) will count towards completing that event. Damon's event begins at October 1st, but it's ok to start later.  Event has ended.
• Is Hyperdimension Neptunia more your thing, that's ok too. Because admin Zone started a Poject Platinum Hyperdimension Neptunia and saving a trophy is allowed too. So what are you waiting for, go check it out now and make Nep happy.
• For all you Metal Gear fans, there's a Project Platinum Metal Gear and he also allows it if people save a trophy. Getting the highest emblem is no small feat, but so is platting a Metal Gear game. So check it out and sign up.
• For those who are planning to pop all their plats on January 3, take a look at Styx2319's Wedding Day Giveaway event. If you plat a game with a romantic theme, you'll be eligible for the giveaway. Event has ended.

• Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 - 92% (41/45 trophies) Just got to grind the gold and create 100 items, then that will leave seeing the normal ending as my last trophy.
• Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2 - 94% (38/41 trophies) Working on Stella's Dungeon and collecting the materials needed to make 200 plans! I'll be leaving the 200 plans trophy for last, but I want to make sure I have everything ready to make all the plans I need!
• Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood - 78% (46/51 trophies) Still unsure about this because of the boosting that I need. If I can boost it, I'll just have to collect the flags and win the max bet at the fights, so it'll be easy enough after the MP is done...but those servers can make or break this one.
• Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories HD - 62% (31/48 trophies) - 2 playthrough with each character needed. Proud mode is beat with both characters, all mini game trophies are done, and I've beat the game without continuing or fleeing. Most random trophies are done. Standard speedruns with both characters, then beginner mode runs to max level with each, and collect all the cards. Hopefully I have time to do all of this by the 1st.

You can still find people online, but they don't stick around for too long and you need a lot of points. You can join us, but we are around 23-24 lvl..

I think it would be better to find my own group to boost with so everyone is around the same level.
