It's hard actually. with the lack of content and grab-happy enemies chasing you all the time. It's easier compare to the early Ninja Gaiden franchise but not easy in general. As the difficulty rises in offline, the more opponents running, the slower the framerate drops which cause the controls to be unresponsive upon your command. Some of the ninja trials 20-40 minutes long to complete the master and ultimate ninja trials but also tiring to play because of you only get to use 1 weapon unless you buy the Claws and Scythe and if one of the players is low on health and suddenly dies in the middle of the mission, you have to restart the mission all over again from the very beginning. One more thing is that bosses glitches when either one of the 2 dies and you'll encounter a lot of enemies warping all over the screen often. Enemies could take 70% of your health bar when grabbed.
