Popular Post Brightblade76
So, all these checklists inspired me in creating this thread, I'm just reserving the space for now, I'll update the first post with a brief description of the trophies that almost made me give up on my 100% profile utopia Actually, my profile reached 100% the moment I've decided to sit down and take Uncharted 2 and 3 DLC trophies out of the way, they were one of the main threats, being multiplayer trophies and requiring a lot of people per session. Working on those kept me motivated also in completing other (singleplayer) games left for too long incomplete. Also I'll keep the thread updated with each new game I'll start, let's see for how long I'll manage to keep that 100% going, I know one day I'll meet that one unachievable trophy that will screw my percentage, meanwhile I'll do my best to keep it going, regardless of difficulty or dedication required by each game. Feel free to have a look at my collection of games in the meantime! edit. Trophies that almost made me give up, I put them under spoilers, you never know: Vanquish - Tactical Challenger: Spoiler This has been the first trophy that forced me to push my skills beyond the limit, due to tactical challenge 6, I wasn't even that good at playing shooters with a gamepad, I tried the challenge for a week straight, 2-3 hours per evening, then I gave up and put the game aside, it's the kind of challenge that push you to the point that playing for too long actually worsen your performance. After a few months I've decided to get back at the game and actually managed to complete the challenge in a couple sittings, a trophy that makes your adrenaline pump like few others once you finally unlock it. White Knight Chronicles II - Soul Of Evil Spoiler I played the game solo, after server shutdown, the game is easy for the most part, it just requires an insane amount of grinding and farming, I faced this trophy when I was 400 hours into the game, and yet I was unprepared... climbing the optional dungeon Vellgander it's a task in itself, but the final fight against Madoras is probably the hardest rpg trophy ever, now that the only option is facing him with npcs and not human partners. Well, after 400 plus hours I had to spend another 100 hours or so just to prepare for this trophy, upgrading the knight proved to be fundamental to clear the dungeon and defeat the boss. An incredibly satisfying accomplishment. Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus - Coin Master: Spoiler This is probably the hardest among my plats, getting all platinum coins requires you to complete optional mission on every difficulty, unlike other Ninja Gaiden games, you are alone in facing these challenges, the game is overall very hard but mostly fair, one challenge though is pure cheapness, Unearthed Challenge 4, you face two of the hardest bosses at the same time using Rachel, a secondary character. Damn what a pain, lots of luck involved in this. Which trophies will test me to the point that I'll almost give up? We'll see Edited April 18, 2017 by Brightblade76
Brightblade76
Next target: Bloodborne, of course platinum and 100%. I did a blind run without guides on my secondary account, loved it, time to replay it for the platinum/100%.

Being a long time player of WoW this is a game I'm looking forward to starting once I fire up the PS4. This will indeed be an impressive plat to have as a milestone. Best of luck.

Karnacharya
Nicely done. You have some really hard Plats there, which is respectable. I've retired from the UR Plat game now, which makes me respect what you've accomplished even more.
Hogie838
That's brilliant! A lot of really tough games on there, and time consuming ones ? I'm planning on playing Dead Space and the second and third are some really tough plats to obtain. Uncharted with all that time consuming multiplayer is impressive. Keep it up mate, fair play to you!!

I don't hunt specifically for URs, just play games I like, and some turned out to be very challenging. 59 minutes ago, Hogie838 said: That's brilliant! Mostly the second Dead Space, due to the harcore run with the 3 save limitation, the third one is the most time consuming, took me almost 50 hours. Thanks everyone Edited May 30, 2017 by Brightblade76
VicePayne
Sublime your trophies list, me my goals would be to get 100% for 2018. I am currently doing FF14 precisely, very long indeed but you will get there I'm sure, the same for me FF14 was my first MMORPG. Good luck for the following friend.

Perhaps I love it too much lol I also have SMB, got it for free when I had the plus subscription active, but never got around starting it, maybe one day when I'll be out of challenging games. Hogie838
Don't give up! Your profile is amazing. You have a multitude of really tough games in there. You could always take a break and play something new, sometimes coming back with a clear head helps.
Brightblade76
Yeah I feel like I need to take a break and just play something else for a while, cause this game takes ages and has a few cheap trophies that are ruining my fun in trophy hunting. Yeah take a break from it. There's no point banging your head against a brick wall. Play something else for awhile and then come back and try again. I find sometimes if I'm trying too hard I mess up more. Coming back after a break it seems easier! ?

Oobedoob S Benubi
@Brightblade76 If I may suggest a game if you want something different, Four Sided Fantasy is a 2D platformer with a twist in the gameplay, and the hardest two trophies shouldn't be too hard for you. I came pretty close to getting those two trophies myself in my second run, I just didn't have time for a third or fourth run (was in an event where other games had to be played, and the Switched arrived at that moment as well). Also, Octodad!

Next up: The Fall and Firewatch, the latter of which is actually pretty well-known by now. Personally, I allow myself to buy games on occasion thouh taking care of my backlog is the main concern. I've been doing pretty good this past year so I'm treating myself to some new stuff on occasion. Edited June 29, 2017 by BillyHorrible
Brightblade76
I think I'll manage to clear my backlog only when I'll finally reach retirement... I should also buy free time when I buy new games lol
Oobedoob S Benubi
I got annoyed by my backlog on the X360, many of which were just mediocre games on amazing sales... So when a friend gifted me his PS3 because I was thinking about getting one (was getting a lot of PS+ games for it thanks to having PS+ for the PS4), I gifted my X360 to a different friend. Pay it forward, I guess, and I got rid of my entire X360 backlog that way. I'm making sure with PS4/PS3 that my backlog won't get too high again.
