The humour in the anime was so good, even the fight scenes weren't that bad. Undead Wolf Posted August 7, 2017 Share Posted August 7, 2017 Parasyte -the maxim- (24 Episodes) This one had me hooked from the start. I ended up marathoning most of the episodes. I thought the premise of this anime was really good. Shinichi must fight to protect himself and those most important to him using his new abilities, all the while trying to retain his humanity. While most of this anime was excellent, I feel like it ended in a way that wasn't very satisfying. Also, I never really understood why Satomi cared as much as she did for Shinichi considering how he was always cold and detached when around her. They just didn't seem very good together. Personally, I thought Kana was the more interesting love interest, but alas, it was not meant to be. With that aside, I would definitely recommend this anime. It's awesome. Spoiler Also, fuck you Life of Black Tiger for stealing this song. It usually ended up being an emotional part of the anime when it started to play, but all I could think about whenever it came on was this shitty game. I can't believe this is still up on Sony's official YouTube channel... Danganronpa: The Animation (13 Episodes) This suffers from the same problem many anime adaptations of video games suffer from; it's too short, They took what is a 30 hour or so game and tried to condense that into a mere 13 episodes. As a result, it just feels rushed. There is very little time for character development and many things are glossed over. If this was my first experience with Danganronpa, I feel like I wouldn't have been able to grow attached to any of the characters before they were killed off. It really takes away from the whole mystery when a character dies and you learn who killed them and how all in one 20 minute episode. You don't have time to put any of the pieces together yourself. These issues weren't really a problem for me since I already know a great deal about the series, so I actually quite enjoyed it since I'm a big Danganronpa fan and all, but I definitely would advise people to play the game before watching this. Every episode made me laugh out loud at least once, and the Rugby episode, along with the last 2 episodes nearly killed me with how funny they were. Fantastic show that I highly recommend Episodes: 1-12 (Yeah I pretty much binge watched this one) Rating: 7/10 Had quite the itch to watch some action anime recently and this looked like the perfect show to scratch that itch.
