The Games We Know And Love *SPOILERS*

Lol. Whoops, watch out for The Last of Us & Neptunia spoilers. Hahaha. My bad.
Okay, this Topic is more of a Questionnaire type thing. As we know this community isn't just full of "Trophy Hunters" & "Trophy Whores." The central idea of this topic is to answer the questions to see & share what you like/don't (like) about certain games. Not only that, but it's fun to see what other people think. It's pretty much a series of favorites & least favorites. Enjoy. =D

Prompt: Answer and give a reason. (I hate lazy answers).

1.) Favorite video game Ending/Scene.
* Friendship, Love (Atelier Meruru: ~The Apprentice of Arland~
- I deffy have a few favorite scenes in VGs but this is my fav. I think its super <3 when Mimi make a pendant for Totori from the Rainbow Fragment and she's super nervous about sharing her feelings towards her. Come to find out, Totori feels the same way.

2.) Least Favorite Video Game Character
* Master Chief (Halo)
- I serious do not like Master Chief. I feel that he is just too bland of a character. "He kills aliens and doesn't afraid of anything!" -Internet Meme
"Hey, guy. I have absolutely no personality and all I do is kill aliens and shit. I'm a good game, right?!" -Master Chief

3.) Favorite Collectible Item (I.E. Coins, Rings, Precursor Orbs, etcetera)
* Wumpa Fruit (Crash Bandicoot)
- Deffy gotta go with the wumps. I love the sound effect they make. "Shloop, shloop, shloop!" Hahaha, wonder what the taste like... hmmm...

4.) Favorite Outfit/Attire
* Sweater Skirt/ Hoodie Jersey (Hyperdimension Neptunia)
- I love Nep's clothes, especially in the first game. They're not overdone and look realllly comfortable. I wonder how much it costs.

5.) Most Attractive Character (Male or Female)
* Raiden (MetalGear Rising: Revengeance)
- As bad as I wanted to say Claire Farron from Final Fantasy; Raiden is just like =O Oh damn, dem heels. Lol.

6.) Favorite "Kill" Scene

* Ellie vs David (The Last of Us)
- OMGosh, that shit was crazy. I was so scared and like worried and stuff. Anyways skip the watery eyes... everyone go buy The Last of Us. It's the best game ever made.

7.) Least Favorite Scene
* Conquest Ending: The Blood of Many... (Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2)
- There is only one for me. This is the dumbest shit I've ever seen in my life. Literally pissed me off for days and caused me severe insomnia. I'm not exaggerating... It's in my Trophy Cabinet as the worst Trophy I've ever gotten.

8.) Favorite Iconic Line
* "Kitty got wet!" -Nathan Drake
* "Autobots, Transform & Roll Out!!" -Optimus Prime
- Awww, poor kitty. That'd be funny if he said that to Chloe after she fell in water. Try to image the look on her face as if she has finally had enough of Drake's sarcasm. Lol. Priceless. As for the latter of the two, I've always loved Peter Cullen's voice of Optimus Prime. Also Neptune uses the quote in HDN. That's sooo plus. =D

Okayyy, as for the last question. Just make one up for the person below you. As many as you want. I mean don't do like 1,000 cause they won't answer them all or it would take forever to do so. Anyways, my question to the next user is...

9.) What's your favorite boss fight?
* Talbot (Uncharted 3)
- This is the first encounter after the long chase scene. I like this one because of all the "interactive gameplay" elements. Its not just mashing buttons or doing a repetitive action until the opponent loses. I chased his as all over the city, through buildings & crowds, got shot at, & got hit by a car. =[

1. Favorite game ending/scene

Dante Vs. Vergil Final ( Devil May Cry 3 )

This was an amazing final battle between two brothers. Everything was just filled with pure emotion, the dialogue exchange by the two, the music, etc. this was by far one of the best boss battle in any DMC game. This fight also hits close to home since I have a twin sibling myself.

2. Least favorite character

Leonard ( White Knight Chronicoles )

I'm sorry to anyone who likes this character but I HATE this guy. He's so uninteresting and all he ever talks about is saving the princess who he's in love with after seeing her up close for five seconds...

3. Favorite collectibles

Blow up dolls ( Saints Row the Third )

I just find it funny that blow up dolls are collectibles.

4. Favorite outfit

Hakurei Miko Outfit ( Touhou )

It looks very comfy. It looks light and it seems like it'd be nice to wear during the summer.

5. Most attractive character

Vergil ( Devil May Cry 3 )

I really like his hair and clothes and stuff :3

6. Favorite kill scene

Uncle Paulie ( The Darkness )

This man killed your girlfriend and your out for revenge only problem is The Darkness will take your soul and take control away from you to engulf the world in chaos. How do you stop this? You can't, if you don't do anything Paulie will kill you and you'll restart at the same spot. The only option is to kill him and let The Darkness take control of you...that is until the coop out they made for the sequel.

7. Least favorite scene

Any scene in Soul Calibur V's Story Mode

The story in this game was bad. Not only bad but almost fanfic bad as everything seemed to be said or done unnaturally and the scenes with the brother and sister are...uncomfortable...

8. Favorite Iconic line

" Bring it on Thunder tits! " Blanc from Hyperdimension Neptunia

This is my favorite because it actually made me buy the first Neptunia game. I remember being curious about the Neptunia games for a while and since I'm the only one of my friends to play games like this I went on YouTube. I watched a video of the first five minutes and when that line was uttered I laughed hard and said " I must get this "

9. Favorite boss fight

Kaguya Houraisan ( Touhou 8 )

This is an epic boss fight! She is the final boss in Touhou 8, Kaguya Houraisan an immortal holding the moon hostage. To beat beat Kaguya you have to survive all her attacks and it's NOT easy! For one thing her attacks WILL trap you if your not careful, she'll encase you in a box of bullets while shooting bullets at you, and you can't attack. Oh and on top of that you have a time limit which shortens everytime your hit. This boss fight was the most intense fight I've ever had in a game.

Question for below:

What's your favorite power in a game?

I still think it's a spoiler (for those who haven't experienced it even if not everyone agrees) if it's an older game, so I'll spoiler tag all spoilers to be fair to everyone :P

1.) Favorite video game Ending/Scene.

Final Fantasy IX (and Heavy Rain)
- I love FFIX too much to not pick this one. Second place goes to several endings in Heavy Rain :P

2.) Least Favorite Video Game Character
Daxter from the Jak series (and the Daxter game + the spin-offs + PAIN)
- I don't like him as a character though he got kinda better from Jak 2 onwards :P His death speeches in 1 made me hate him a lot though xD

3.) Favorite Collectible Item (I.E. Coins, Rings, Precursor Orbs, etcetera)

Dishonored

- The bone charms and the runes. The sound effects used, using the Heart to find them, etc. I just loved them :P

4.) Favorite Outfit/Attire
Final Fantasy IX
- Vivi's classic black mage getup with some uniqueness to make it different. The original, not the Kingdom Hearts version.

5.) Most Attractive Character (Male or Female)

Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward

- Luna. I liked her a lot in Virtue's Last Reward especially throughout her ending where she reveals what she's done, who she loved, and finding out she was the GAULEM that had been created to be K's mother figure ^^

6.) Favorite "Kill" Scene

Assassin's Creed III

- Vidic. I started out wanting more out of that scene, but him dying like that in a single Apple blast while being so stupid and not realizing how easy it would be for Desmond to just end him right there... it ended up feeling appropriate for me personally. In the end, he was foolish and arrogant, and blind to the truth.

7.) Least Favorite Scene

Kingdom Hearts II

- The deaths of both Axel and real Ansem. I liked both and lost both in the same game. It doesn't matter that they've basically come back since, I still hated seeing them go D:

8.) Favorite Iconic Line

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood

* "Father, do you not see? I control all of this. If I want to live, I live. If I want to take, I take. If I want you to die, you die!" - Cesare Borgia
- I just really liked this part where Rodrigo has been so submissive after losing to Ezio (and finding out he was not the chosen one to have the god-like powers) and finally ends up trying to kill Cesare only to be killed himself in a historically semi-correct way. Honorary mention: "You cannot kill me. No man can murder me!" because of how close it is to the line from The Lord of the Rings that I can always pretend Ezio reveals himself to be Eowyn/just any woman in general before killing Cesare :P Though the line that follows from Ezio is also pretty awesome.

9.) What's your favorite boss fight? (was I allowed to answer this?)

Assassin's Creed II, Final Fantasy IX and God of War series

- FFIX had several I really enjoyed (each Black Waltz encounter, the "several bosses in a row" fights at Gran Bal, Soulcage, and Ozma. ACII had Rodrigo Borgia - beating up the pope *_* Finally, the pretty epic fights in GoW series, especially GoW III where you move on the giant bosses while the camera, angles and lots more change.

10.) What's your favorite power in a game?

Final Fantasy XIII-2

- It may not really count, but I just loved Serah's ability to get monster party members xD Ultros, Typhon, Gilgamesh, PuPu, Omega Weapon were all particularly epic but all those cactuars and tonberries I just loved <3

Question for next person:

Has there been a video game where a second (or more) playthrough has *really* changed how you viewed and felt about the game (ex. it became frustrating, a new playthrough revealed new things about the game, there was new content, etc) - if so, how did it/them change it?

1.) Favorite video game Ending/Scene.

The Demon's Souls Intro.

Absolutely epic. (If you've never seen it, stop reading and go watch it now on youtube!)

2.) Least Favorite Video Game Character

Noober (Baldur's Gate)

Most annoying NPC ever, initiates dialogue with you, and keeps going every 2 seconds, asking the same question over and over again. His fate usually was an early departure.

3.) Favorite Collectible Item

None.

I really dislike collectibles of any kind in games. I mean, having to search for a silly amount of random things, which generally are impossible to find without the help of a guide is just nonsense to me. No game should ever give an incentive to use guides.

4.) Favorite Outfit/Attire

:hmm: , I suppose Ezio Auditore's outfit, the black and red version of it. (Assassin's Creed series)

It just looks cool.

5.) Most Attractive Character

Ibuki (Super Street Fighter IV)

Has something mysterious about her, as well as a wickedly silly hairstyle .

6.) Favorite "Kill" Scene
Mortal Kombat 9 Fatalities, in particular:

“Make a Wish” - by Noob

“Smoked Out” - by Smoke

“Bang Bang!” - by Shang Tsung

Shockingly gruesome, and the latter one is just silly.

7.) Least Favorite Scene (slight spoiler)

That would be from LotR: War in the North. Still fairly at the beginning, during chapter one, you'll free an eagle, and well he talks.

The thing is, while the cutscene was going on, I was thinking to myself - please don't let it be an eagle who can talk - and well, it was. I literally went  .

8.) Favorite Iconic Line

Nathan Drake: Something nasty happened to these guys. There's blood everywhere... and soup.

A true wtf moment right there  .

9.) Has there been a video game where a second (or more) playthrough has *really* changed how you viewed and felt about the game (ex. it became frustrating, a new  playthrough revealed new things about the game, there was new content, etc) - if so, how did it/them change it?

Fallout 3 with it's choice system gives somewhat the possibility, of experiencing a second playthrough in a different way. As in different followers, dialogue options, reactions from the npcs, etc. It wasn't groundbreaking or anything, but kept things fresh.

Extra question for whoever posts next:

In your opinion, which video game character has the best voice acting?

Just in case, I'll add spoiler tags.

1) Favorite video game ending

- Metal Gear Solid 4's ending. It has to be the only ending of any game that legitimately made me tear up.

2) Least favorite game character

- Yeah, probably Master Chief too. Although I say Ashley from Resident Evil 4 as a second, which seems a bit unfair but without knight armor on, it's just dreadful having to escort her around. At least teach her how to shoot.

3) Favorite collectible

- I dislike collectibles with a passion, especially ones that don't do anything yet number in the hundreds.

4) Favorite outfit

- Usually I like trench coats and cloaks/robes. Particularly something like Ezio, or Corvo Attano.

5) Most attractive

- Sniper Wolf from Metal Gear Solid. Not sure why, but there's something I like about her. I wouldn't mind being her next target :awesome:

6) Favorite kill scene

- Mass Effect

When you convince Saren he's on the wrong side, but he's too weak to fight off Sovereign's control and offs himself. The way he says "thank you" at least shows he was able to see the error of his ways unlike most bosses. And It was nice to not actually have to fight the villain, but then they make you fight him anyway.

7) Least favorite scene

- Mass Effect 3

All the endings suck imo, even with the Extended Cut, especially Synthesis with it's dumb space magic that makes everyone glow green. The only ending I accept is Destroy because the other endings go against everything my Shepard stood for anyway.

8) Favorite iconic line

"We can tell other people about - having faith. What we had faith in. What we found important enough to fight for. It's not whether you were right or wrong, but how much faith you were willing to have, that decides the future." - Solid Snake, Sons of Liberty. Not sure why, but this one stuck out to me, and it made sense.

"Do you want to know something funny? Even after everything you've done, I would have saved you." - Batman, Arkham City. I liked this one in particular because it surprised me and shows that Batman at least cares about the people he fights in some way, even though they cause so much destruction.

9) In your opinion, which video game character has the best voice acting?

That's hard for me to say. Without praising Metal Gear Solid again or going on about how awesome Steve Blum is, I have to say Mark Hamill's Joker sounded pretty real to me, especially when sounding sick.

Edit: Come to think of it, Ulysses from Fallout: New Vegas was amazing.

Extra question: Have there been any favorite secondary characters of yours? Like the side-kicks to the main character and such.

2) Least favorite game character

Rico(Killzone): he's badly on my nerve.I like to see him dying,He killed my beloved emperor(probably the decoy of him but still..)

3) Favorite collectible

I usually dislike collectibles (especially those causing missable trophies) but I like puzzle like ones in openworld games(Riddler trophies in arkham) & nostalgic ones(Sonic rings,...)

4.) Favorite Outfit/Attire

hmmm... there are many to name:Altair ropes, Shao kahn armor,......

5) Most attractive

Most Mortal Kombat women , Harley Quinn ,Eva(MGS3) ,.........

6) Favorite kill scene

Prince speed kills (POP:The two thrones),Bayonetta final boss,.....

Scolar Visari's speech in KZ2 intro

Brian Cox (Scolar Visari)

Have there been any favorite secondary characters of yours? Like the side-kicks to the main character and such.

Tail (Sonic the Hedgehog 2) ,Jean (Bayonetta),...

SNAAAAAAAAAAAAKE!

9) In your opinion, which video game character has the best voice acting?:

These are, of course, not the final word on these questions, just the best answers that occur to me at the time.

1. Favorite game ending/scene

Dragon Age: Origins. No spoilers needed, the ending reflects all the decisions you made throughout your journey, showing you how things turned out for the lives you touched.

2. Least favorite character

Vanille, FFXIII. Her voice was annoying. Her face pisses me off. Are those wooden shoes? Whenever she said the word "cocoon" is sounded like my ears were being violated by some kind of sexual predator-chicken.

Sazh should have blown her away when she was staring down the barrel of his gun.

3. Favorite collectibles

I'm not a big fan of collectibles, but I guess the Star Coins from New Super Mario Bros Wii. I'll slit a toad's throat for one... Or more to the point, throw him down a hole.

4. Favorite outfit

Hammer Bros. Suit, Super Mario Bros 3. Rain down the whoop-ass in this classic black helmet/shell combo.

5. Most attractive character

I dunno, I have a F**ked up taste in women, it's probably best we don't explore this one.

6. Favorite kill scene

Tellah the Sage, Final Fantasy II (IV j). He commits suicide in order to kill Golbez... but it doesn't kill Golbez. It's sad seeing this wise, old man spending his last breaths writhing around on the floor, lamenting his failure to protect or even avenge his daughter, all with sad music playing in the background. It made young Siuilarun tear up once.

7. Least favorite scene

The "end" of The Cursed Crusade and the "end" of RAGE. I didn't play these games for hours thinking "boy, I hope there's no resolution to these stories... Hooray! It cut to black in a mid-scene cliffhanger! Maybe RAGE, but a game as poorly received as The Last Crusade was is SURE to have a sequel, right?"

8. Favorite Iconic line

"That's a lot of nipples." -Oghren, Dragon Age: Origins: Awakening

X. Favorite boss fight

Bowser, Mario 64. Badass soundtrack, badass villain.

X1. What's your favorite power in a game?

Healing. I don't often play the healer classes, but it's an ability I would love to have

X2. Favorite secondary/sidekick?

Luigi. Simply, Luigi.

X3. Favorite game with least replay value?

Tokyo Jungle. The story mode, itself, has zero replay value. To be fair, the survival mode is the main point is meant to be played time and again.

X4. Best voice acted.

Gotta say Ellie from The Last of Us.

Xs. (at this point, my number system means very little.) Which game do you wish hadn't been made?

Duke Nukem Forever. Duke3d was a fond memory of my youth, but Forever a barnacle on the ass of the good ship Current Gen Gaming.

1) Favorite video-game ending :

* Metal Gear Solid 4 : Guns of the Patriots

- Best possible ending of Snake's saga. I could write hundreds of posts about it, but I won't say anything more, because it would've been a spoiler.

2) Least favorite video-game character :

* Jason Brody (Far Cry 3)

- He may not be my least favorite, but I thought of him first. One of the dullest main characters in gaming.

3) Favorite collectible item :

* Coins (Super Mario)

- Globally I hate collectibles. Especially when there's over 50 of them and they affect trophies.

4) Favorite outfit :

* Ivy's default outfit (Soul Calibur IV)

- It's simple. I just love large teasing boobs.

5) Most attractive character :

* Tifa Lockhart (Final Fantasy VII)

- This was a really tough one. I was thinking about tons of characters, especially Chun-Li (Street Fighter), EVA (Metal Gear Solid 3 : Snake Eater), Jill Valentine (Resident Evil) and many other, but I chose Tifa Lockhart because of an optimistic and bright personality, cute face and very nice tits and ass.

6) Favorite 'kill' scene :

* Killing Zeus (God of War 3)

- This was also a hard decision, but I chose this one because it represents the death of one truly rotten and 'double-minded' character in God of War series.

7) Least favorite scene :

* Leaving/killing Lee (The Walking Dead)

- This is one of the rare scenes in gaming that made me cry. Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad scene, not at all, but I picked it because it made me feel sad and depressed.

8) Favorite iconic line :

* Meryl : "So, what do you think ? Is your 'age' of heroes finally over ?!"

Snake : " *hmph* I'm no hero... Never was, never will be."

- I think description is unnecessary for this one.

9) Which game do you wish hadn't been made ?

* God of War Ascension

- I will probably be lynched by some members for this one, but I just fucking hate 'forced' prequels. We had two God of War prequels, we didn't need the third. Because of that 'forcing', we all witnessed the least successful game in the series.

Here's my question : Favorite video-game OST / theme music ?
