Popular Post jdh0921
I decided to throw this together while I was taking a server imposed break on this game. Maybe I'll make a full fledge guide later. This method can get you everything but the 300 mile trophy in a few hours. Then you can rubber band the 300 mile trophy for the platinum. Step 1: Race the Tutorial Race. You have no choice here, just do the best you can, and try to win. It's a 3 minute race, which usually is 3-4 laps (when the timer is up, it means there is 2 laps left). Take advantage of the Rewind button and try for the win. Step 2: Race the 250 Classes in career mode, doesn't matter East Coast or West Coast. This is where you can save some time. Before you start the race, change the Race Options to the following (Only use these if you do the retire from event option, otherwise the game gets extremely difficult): Race Type = One Shot = 0% XP Bonus (I left this as it was quicker) Race Length = Realistic = 500% XP Bonus AI Difficulty = Realistic = 60% XP Bonus Physics = Normal = 50% XP Bonus Joint Brakes = Off = 15% XP Bonus Rider Weight = Manual = 15% XP Bonus Transmission = Manual = 15% XP Bonus Rewind = Off - 15% XP Bonus This will give you a total of 670% XP Bonus. Make sure whenever you do any mode other than this, you set the settings back to easy, unless you want a bad time.. Go ahead and start the races. Once you get to the screen where it says to Start Race, there's an option that says Retire from Event. Select this, it'll give a message saying you'll finish last. Ignore that and continue. You'll notice you'll end up on the podium with a massive bonus for Race Options. Keep doing this for both the 250 classes and you'll unlock the 450 class in no time. The only thing to watch out for is to make sure you win the championship one of these classes (You can podium the other). I went and upgraded my bike, (suspension, exhaust, brakes, tires, wheels) to improve its stats. The other components are for looks only. Seemed to improve my position when doing this. You will unlock Rank/SX Credit Trophies as you go. Wins count, but you won't unlock any Wins trophies until you complete a race. You also won't unlock any trophies for winning at specific tracks using this method. Step 3: Race the 450 Class in career mode. You will need to do this legit, unfortunately. This mode you will want all the Race Options to their lowest settings. (Basically the opposite of above) The reason being is to unlock the individual track trophies. You could do the 250s legit and then the 450 manually, but then you would have to race Las Vegas twice, which isn't a big deal, but just something to be aware. Take advantage of the rewind here as well, especially at the start, as the AI is dreadful. Step 4 Race the 450 Class in Championship Mode as Ryan Dungey. You can use the Retire from the Event trick here as well. He ends up winning or coming in second almost every time. Don't forget to set the sliders for Max XP again. By now you should have all the Level/SX trophies (actually got to Level 100 in the 250s). Once you win the championship the trophy will pop. Step 5 Create 5 Tracks and Upload to Servers. This is done through the track editor. All I did was make a circle track, and made 5 copies of it. After that, go edit each track and select Validate (Triangle), this will upload the track to the server. On the fifth one, the trophy will pop. Step 6: Race 30 Races with Custom Tracks created by other users and clean up any trophies you might not have gotten, such as the Hole Shot trophies and the ones involving not using the Rewind button. Look for Short Tracks, it seems the more long straight aways on the track, the better the AI performs. You don't necessarily need to win them, just complete them. But, winning will help with finishing the game quicker since 50 wins is needed. Step 7: Win 50 Races in any mode. I did this is career mode using the Retire from Race option until I got to 50 wins. (Which you can view in the profile) Once you get to 50, you'll need to finish a race to get the trophy to pop. I don't believe winning is required to make it pop. Step 8: 50 Jumps in a row in Time Attack. This can be done on any track, but I did a search for "trophy" on the custom track list and there's tracks made specifically for this challenge, take it easy and hit 50 in a row. Trophy will pop immediately. You have unlimited time in this mode if you make a mistake. Step 9: 300 Miles. This is the longest grind, as it can take 6-8 hours. Fortunately, it can be done with rubber banding. Select a custom track (It may work with a regular track, didn't try it) called 300 mile and do the Time Attack Mode. (It's just a giant square) Leave the R2 button pressed down and leave it for 6-8 hours. The trophies will pop immediately, so you should have the platinum when you are done. I think I covered everything. Maybe I'll make a guide so this doesn't go completely to waste. Just wanted something for folks to see since it's on PS+ now. I'll edit this post if there's any information that I may have missed. dieselmanchild
Really simple and easy to follow write up, thanks! I’m having fun screwing around right now but I’ll almost certainly take advantage of some of these tricks as I inch towards the platinum. ?

Just tried it with an alternate account, still works on version 1.12, if that's the update you're talking about. Retiring gives you full 670% bonus.

XXIIlII
Do i need to be in 1st place to win the race? or top 3 is fine? Nice guide btw, will start the game now.

For the exploit? You don't need to start the race at all. Though it seemed if I get a good start and get into first before retiring I was in first at the end more often. Probably he is asking what is the best way to ensure a win on truck races and chanpionship (for 450 class). From what you said, lowering difficulty settings and abusing rewind, should allow us to get a win. Isn't it right? Can't we use the exploit here, in any case or form to easy the work? You can do rewind and set everything to easy definitely. You can even use the exploit if you want. The only problem doing the exploit is, if you don't have the trophies for winning at each track, you won't get them using the exploit. You have to win those legitimately to earn them. DEI2EK
How long would it take to do all the races legit? just out of curiosity as i like racing games and motocross

The trophy that'll cause the biggest headache is getting three million in SX (Cash). You earn 12-18K per race, plus a bonus for winning championships.
de_digibeet
You'll earn a bit more if you pick a better sponsor. The higher the requirement for the sponsor the larger their bonus. I'm currently riding with oakly or gopro and they require me to finish in the top3. 15k for winning, 8.6k for sponsor objective in the 250 class, with all the bonuses mentioned in the first post set to zero. I'm aiming for holeshot starts to get that done first, got three so far.
jdh0921
Nice! The Hole Shots is probably the hardest single trophy to earn. It's not even THAT hard, it's the AI that divebomb that corner that make it harder than it needs to be. (Though sometimes you can use that to your advantage by sneaking on the inside line of the wad of bikes that inevitably happens in that first turn. de_digibeet
That's how I got my three holeshots :P. Four by now, if you hold L1 and R2 before the start, and count about 6 seconds and then release L1, if you time it right, you start before the pack does. On some tracks you can make it (with some rewinds ...) to a holeshot this way. Edited December 5, 2019 by de_digibeet

Since yesterday I’ve been getting an error “Cannot connect to milestone services” messages. I’m hoping it’s just an influx of Ps Plus users and not something that will make the online stuff impossible to do.

Worked for a few hours then the problems resurfaced. So I think it is just an overload, and not a closure. Especially since they sent a patch out today. At the start I'd hit L2 to back up as far back as possible. Then Hold L1+R2 before the start for 4 seconds and release L1. Gives me a little speed as well as a jump, seemed to work pretty well for me. Once ended up beating everyone by over a second getting to the turn.
dieselmanchild
Good to know. Will keep trying. In another matter, I’m finding it more difficult than expected to win races legitimately lol. Even after playing for fun and practicing last night without worrying about placing. Do you have any tips on winning? Despite having an upgraded bike I’m finding it hard to take corners and speed over the bumps without losing momentum or skidding out of bounds. Even on the easiest settings, the AI all drives like total professionals and break away from me within the first lap or 2. Any tips? ? EDIT: Nevermind! The above tips were amazing and once I started doing that I was able to get a bit of a head start out of the gate, getting a couple hole shots and an early lead in the race (which is then easy to maintain using rewind). Thanks a ton both of you! Edited December 5, 2019 by dieselmanchild
