*No Patches for Some PS3 Games*

Hello,

I have checked all my physical video games on PS3 (April13th 2021), the updates available are:
The Bureau: Xcom declassified (EU) => 1.01

The Last of Us (EU) => 1.11

3D dot Game Heroes (EU) => 1.01

Asura's Wrath (EU) => 1.02

Prototype (EU) => 1.01

Risen 2 Dark Water (EU) => 1.01

Silent Hill Downpour (EU) => 1.01

Dark souls Collector (EU) => 1.09

Final Fantasy XIII-2 (EU) => 1.06

Dead Space 2 Collector (EU) => 1.02

Those I remember it didn't update were:

- Dead Space

- Disney Epic Mickey 2

- Puppeteer

- The Saboteur

- TMNT: Danger of the Ooze

 

Those that got a Patch

- Castlevania Lord of Shadows (both)

- Asura's Wrath

- Metal Gear Rising

- Silent Hill Downpour

- Toy Story 3

 

EDIT: Found this list with games that don't have any patches after inserting the disc. So I removed these games from my test.

Hi, I have checked the Site and I can say that List of games is not complete.
In that list I did not find for example:
"Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3" with Patch 1.04
"Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution" with Patch 1.03

I'll think about whether or not to include that link, but thanks for the support ^^

People here yesterday with NA Collection discs were not having any luck downloading patches. At this point the only hope for NA players might be discs from other regions since they seem to share the same trophy page according to PSNP. I bought a cheap UK disc from eBay last night and will be testing that in a couple of weeks when it gets here to see if we can continue our NA trophies with it.

If you don't have one of the Versions in the list it means that it still has its updates, or it has never had any updates and therefore remains at Version 1.00.
If the game you own is on the list, you may have Patch problems

I can confirm on my end that the vanilla version didn’t work. I should be getting my anniversary collection on Thursday and my PAL copy on Friday. I will keep everyone posted if something changes.

I can confirm this too. The patch wont download through the collection disc either when I tried last night and today.

Also does anyone happen to know what the patch for Lego The Lord of the Rings did? Would like to know if it fixed anything serious. Because if it was minor stuff then I can feel safe playing it when I get to it assuming this does not get fixed.

I would like to know too how the patch affects the lego game

For LEGO Lord of the Rings (NA Disc), when I search it simply says "The latest version is installed" although I don't have the latest patch installed. I have Version 1.02 installed on a second console.

 

For LEGO The Hobbit (NA Disc), when I search it says Version 1.02 has been found, but I get "An error occurred during the download operation. (800233EC)" and I'm not able to download the patch.

Yeah that may be problem I wish there was website were you could check how the updates affect the games

You talking about like having NA game data on the console and then using another region disc to try to update it? Now that I think of it I do have a JP copy of Demon's Souls (BCJS70013) along with NA Demon's Souls (BLUS30443GH) that I should do some testing with after work today.

That would be a big help, but I also meant seeing if one disk patches and the other doesn’t.

OP already has this one listed, but I can confirm WRC 5 (NA, Digital) won't patch. I have Version 1.01 installed on my primary PS3, and when I try to update from Version 1.00 on my second PS3, it says "The latest version is installed." I'm not sure what the patch does. It seems I'm able to connect to a multiplayer lobby on Version 1.00. Maybe tomorrow I'll see if the two versions can play online together.

That won't work. The update request checks the game you're looking for, then what version's already installed.
