They are flawless and friend challenges crucially work. Now for them to fix Wolfenstein 09.
nrs1nrs1
Unfortunately I am unable to login to the multiplayer on PS3, I wonder if particular DNS settings or something about the Blur servers are what’s letting Luke in. Cause I’m having zero luck and haven’t since July.

nrs1nrs1
Extremely tempted to send an email to someone higher up at Demonware or Activision who might be able to provide some answers. The lack of recourse is what truly frustrates me about this situation. If we could convince them to take a look, even if afterward they said “okay you get 3 more months with active servers” that would at least accomplish something. I only need 23 more Extermination matches before I’m done with the online, and I’m tired of adding unobtainables to my account.
Xillynoc
Per a friend of mine on Discord, he and his group of six were able to form a lobby and play 2 extermination games before one disconnected - it looks like we're back after all! I'll update the guide accordingly after work today.

Simply input Primary DNS: 8.8.8.8 and Secondary DNS: 8.8.4.4 in your manual internet setup on PS3 and it should allow you to join public lobbies. We're still figuring out a consistent and uniform solution so if it doesn't work right away, let us know. We want this to be functional and non-flaggable for everyone.
luketheduke12
One caveat is that being able to host and join lobbies normally still seems elusive for most players. I'm not sure if different DNS settings rectifies that part for everyone. I believe needing to join a friend who could host was a common problem in Singularity prior to the servers' becoming even more broken last year, too.

You might only force few time friends invites and dont acctually need to change dns settings. Edited February 13, 2023 by Beliar4 typos

I would have likely noted so if it had, it simply fails as soon as I selected multiplayer.

Can connect without issue (and potentially can host matches!) 2. Unable to access MP from the first menu without putting in an Open DNS setting, at which point MP becomes available. 3. Completely unable to join MP, even after altering your DNS settings. We're still trying to figure out a consistent solution, but hopefully stability is just a matter of time, and more solutions are discovered as workarounds in the meantime.

mattigummi45
I just booted up the game for the first time and am unable to access the MP, even after changing the DNS settings. Does anyone have a solution to this, or is it just a matter of trying again another day? Popular Post nino_mustdie
I have all the multiplayer trophies now and I'd like to post what I know: To reach the multiplayer menu, you'll need to change your DNS settings to 188 . 225 . 75 . 35 (on the first line) and 1 . 1 . 1 . 1 (on the second line). After that, you should be able to look at the leader boards and then start a private match. The private match option is pointless though since everything needs to be done on a public match. However, hosting a public match is pretty much impossible for all but 1% of players. Everyone else gets an "Error searching for games" message when clicking on Quick Match or Public Match. So here's how players have been completing the multiplayer trophies: a host player starts a public match and anyone who's friends with him can join the match at the multiplayer menu, with or without the ability to host themselves. The multiplayer menu has an option called "Friends" which allows players to join other players' games without an invite. And from there, any friends on your own list can then join the public match without being friends with the host player, as long as you're still connected to that public match. So the multiplayer trophies can be done but you just need to know a host player that can start public matches and add him to your friends list. Now, there are 5 players who I know that can host public matches (and I won't give their names away). There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to why they can host public matches. They all have different names and different trophy lists. But I did find one game in common: Need for Speed: Most Wanted (PS3). 4 players have multiplayer trophies for that game and 1 player does not. Which is not to say he never at least tried multiplayer, but all I see are his single player trophies on his list. This MAY be the game that helped these players connect to the Singularity servers. But that just may be a wild guess since Need for Speed is an Electronic Arts game, not Activision. I don't have the means to test this myself since I don't have that game, so feel free to try it yourself. Other than that, I can say that all 5 host players have various amounts of Call of Duty games completed on their profiles. Which could be the key since Call of Duty is published by Activision. But maybe not, since all the other Singularity players have Call of Duty titles on their trophy lists and they still can't host. A few more things: -I created an alt account and copied the name of one of the host players, only changing one letter in the username. I then tried to host a public match but was unsuccessful. (I have since changed that alt's username) -I tried to brute force the public match option in the multiplayer by using a turbo controller. I just kept mashing X button on the Public Match option to see if it'll eventually grant me the ability to host. After 1 hour and over 100 attempts, I was unsuccessful. -I spoke to one of the host players and he said that he can host with his main account, but not with his alt account. He said that he used the same PS3 and the same internet settings but only his main account could host. Which tells me that this isn't tied to a particular PS3 model or accelerating your internet speeds in anyway. -I spoke to another player and he said he hosted a public match once, but never again. Which makes me wonder if he did something in a certain way that helped him to achieve that one public match. I asked him if he could remember what he did but he does not. And I'm done. EDIT: I just spoke to a player and he can host matches. He does not have Need for Speed Most Wanted at all. Very strange. He just changed his DNS settings and could host immediately. I won’t look into this further since I have to move on. Edited March 22, 2023 by nino_mustdie

So I don't believe players should be flagged.

iXanon
@nino_mustdie I was merely adding evidence to my original post. I have no case to raise, nor any invested interest since I don't own the game. It was simply a friendly reminder that changing DNS settings may not be the best of ideas, despite it seeming to be innocent.
