Description for Judgment PS5: I have made excellent progress so far on the first sequel of Judgment Remastered PS5. Those new items really help me move much faster in the game better then the PS4 version. This is a small update I have shown so far but I am almost done on it though.

 

Description for Lost Judgment PS5: Another small update and also great progress to the game but it can be tedious and boring at times but hey it is still a great fighting crime game and I still enjoyed it nonetheless.

Hey lovies. Hope it's been a good week. I've started Cold Steel 3 and chipped away at a few miscalenous trophies in Puzzle Dungeon. Cold steel is a really comfy JRPG, but the scale means I've been playing in short bursts. I've reached the end of the first chapter and hopefully will be on track to platinum before the end of the challenge. You can complete the game in a single playthrough but I opted for a more relaxed 2 play through route. Puzzle Dungeon continues to be fun but doesn't hold my interest for long peroids of time. I've decided to swap one of my unplayed games out for God of War Ragnarok because after the hype wave (I'm not reading anything but I'm aware there's a lot of buzz around it) I want to play this on launch.

So yeppers, just starting off my final game, Persona 5 for the PS5. I did freak out a bit because I thought that I didn't get the DLC but someone in the game forum told me that you don't get a pop up for activating the DLC since it's all built into the game. Well, we'll see but unfortunately, I have to put my PS5 to rest as I have to go to prayer mass in a few minutes so I have to get dressed for church. I'll try to play some more when I get back. I can't wait to get Izanagi-no-Okami Picaro and start blowing things up. Now that I've gotten settled into my new little "Thieves' Den"(sic) house, I can focus on finally playing the game. I think the upgrade in performance is a plus but I am going to play the PS4 version alongside to see how it compares.

 

EDIT: Just got back from church and went to Arby's for the usual meal of Classic Roast Beef. Got home. Saw "Diablo Dare", opened the box... and found a red bun with jalapenos and spiced roast beef. Where in the programming of your drive thru order did you misinterpret "Classic Roast Beef" to be "Diablo Dare Hot Sauce?!?!?!" What the f**k did you think I was SAYING? So now I am starving my body and soul because I was forced to eat Arby's Sauce on a tortilla and cheese and it stained my clothes. Because of that I just went to Eterna Forest and caught a Murkrow instead of playing Persona 5 Royal. Sorry, I'll get back to my game soon. I just need to detox and CALM. DOWN. ?

Update 9

 

Hi everyone ?. Another fairly quiet week for me, I had a few days of not playing any games to recharge myself and prevent any burnout, but still have made some good progress.

 

At the end of last update, I only needed to earn 2 more trophies to line up my milestone of 4,500 trophies as I planned. I managed to finish the grind for Bond xp to get the eternal bonds trophy before filling in the 2 random trophies. After a little bit of research, it turned out that completing the first chapter of Detroit Become Human would net me those trophies. So I booted it up, completed the prologue, then went straight back to Persona 5 Strikers. From there I started a NG+ on easy mode, quickly skipped through the game until I got to the Velvet Room, fused the final Persona to complete the compendium. Then I restarted another NG+ on Merciless difficulty to pop the final trophy and the plat. You don't need to complete the game on this hardest difficulty, but even with my character at level 99 I still got 1 shotted in the introductory battle ?. 

 

After a couple of days off the PlayStation I've gone back to play more Detroit. It's a bit slow so far, but it's just introducing the characters and the world. Hoping it'll pick up pace soon. Doing my first playthrough blind just to see where all my decisions lead, then will follow a guide for trophy clean up after.

So my partner gave birth to a healthy baby boy on 24th October meaning gaming got pushed back a touch lol.

 

Cracked on with Odyssey though and only got Fate of Atlantis left. Hoping to get this done and possibly Hellblade before the end. I've given my thoughts on it a few times, just outstanding possibly best in series so far.

Passed the point of no return with Skyrim VR, I have just over 3 weeks to clean that one up before this challenge is over.  Cleaned up the main story line to earn the surprisingly only gold trophy in the game, as well as the civil war story arc.  Just about halfway through the Dark Brotherhood quests then I have 2 more trophies after that to unlock the platinum (9/15 daedric artifacts and level 45/50).  Beyond that, I will need to complete the 3 DLCs.  The only one I have made any progress on was the Hearthfire DLC, but I still need to build 2 more houses.

First week was slow as the wife and I were out of town, but I'm feelin pretty re-charged. Finished WWE Smackdown Vs Raw 2010 surprisingly quick, and I expect Godfather Part II to go down nice and easy as well. With these having been nice chill fun, I'm just hopin I've had enough time away from Katamari Damacy Reroll so I can get did, cuz I really wanna just focus on GTA IV.

Don't know why my last post did not get posted, but anyways, I got through the boring slow tutorial stuff because I can't buy the Doombringer(aka Izanagi-no-Okami Picaro, the most broken Persona in the game) until I unlock the Velvet Room on my fourth visit to Palace #1, and I had to do a few boring things to raise and unlock Confidants and raising social stats. Following Optinoob's ultimate Persona 5 Royal calendar as I used it before and it's always helped me out. Got the automatic trophy for awakening Joker and an optional one for recruiting my first Persona. Now I have the Doombringer, I can just grind out levels so I can cheeze the boss.

 

I'm actually platinuming both versions of PSR(PS4 and PS5) because I was curious to how the PS5 version compared, and it's a bit cleaner looking and brighter, but not much else. Since I have to play PS5 version to a point and then PS4 version, and I have to play Disgaea 5 for KYC, it's going slow. But this is my last game so I have three weeks to finish the games. Might probably stop PS4 once I get to third semester for both games so that I can just platinum the PS5 version this month and then take my time with the PS4 version as I will also be burdened with finishing Pokemon Scarlet and Violet which drops in 10 days. (Typing this as the countdown for the final official trailer drops for these games.)

Congrats on being a daddy! I have a friend who also had a baby a year ago and so he can't play his favorite games(aka R-rated violent stuff ) until midnight so he gets very little sleep due to his 9 to 5 job at the local gym.

Good luck on Evoland and Shantae! Having the plats for those, I can attest that they do take a bit of work. But I really enjoyed them both. Evoland is a treat watching the game open up as you collect items, and I really enjoyed platinum Seven Sirens. (Wish I could say the same for Half-Genie Hero, but those DLC trophies are way too difficult for me, I barely managed to clear the ninja and Freedom Force levels and forget about Friends to the End. I have platted Trine 3 in older accounts but I hated it.)

I finished inFamous First Light and enjoyed it much more than Second Son which I found very dull. First Light had more fun challenges, and by focussing on only one power it actually had more varied attack types. The ps3 games are still my favourite though and I’d love Sucker Punch to return to the series at some point.

 

I only have Hard to the Core left to get in Little Nightmares, that game was the perfect amount of creepy for me and I loved the DLC and how it added to the main story. I ended up downloading Very Little Nightmares and the comics to my phone after finishing the story.

 

I also started Titanfall 2. I’m normally not a huge fan of fps games (especially war ones), but I’m actually enjoying the story of this one. It’s very different to what I imagined and has some fun mechanics, I’m still going to need to practice a lot to get the gauntlet trophies though (I can’t even get the first one! I’m so bad at fps)

 

Finally, I’m using my second swap to replace Death end re; Quest with Monkey Island 2. Death end is such a slog to me, I normally love rpgs and visual novels, but for some reason I just cannot get into this game. It’s a shame too because I actually like the pinball battle mechanic. I will finish it eventually because it’s perfect for the weeb square I have in the bingo event, but I’m not going to force myself to platinum it this month, or ever really.

Sorry. I promise that this will be the last update before I get to work and actually get any significant progress done on trophies in this title.

 

It's just that now that I think about it, this new house I live in isn't really conducive to healthy gaming - it's so small I can't put all of my kitchen appliances in the kitchen(had to put some of my spoons and whatnot in the bottom drawer of the dresser as there wasn't enough room in my cupboard - the bottom drawer has bowls and seasonings and snacks) and I can't reach my computer from my PS4. Ah well, hindsight is a 50/50 (bleep).

 

Also, there is a Pokemon GO Community Day happening at my local zoo this Saturday, and Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are coming out soon, meaning I have to spend more time with it than actual games. Still, I will do anything to ensure that I get to the end of Persona 5 Royal, and I have a nukemon to get me through the Palaces quickly. (Just got a few trophies for stuff like doing my first Guillotine fusion and have reached the third save spot in the first palace, haven't even reached the first Will Seed yet.) Add in that I am also playing the PS4 version as I hope to get both versions as my 64th and 65th platinum and I am on my 62nd now, also add in that I have to spend some time playing other games for the Kill Your Completion event.

 

To be fair, if I fail the challenge and don't get this game platted before December, I'll try to get it done by Christmas as I'll probably be decently into the story, maybe at the third semester. I might put the PS4 version of P5R in for the Winter Backlog challenge, who knows?

#160 Stray [PS5]

Difficulty: 2/10-4.5/10 (skill dependent on  Can't Catch Me)
Grind: 3/10

Enjoyment: 9/10

 

Even though Stray feels more like an extended tech demo than anything else, I still think it's worth playing.  It's a nice little puzzle simulator at the end of the day and the visuals are truly stunning.  For a game with a minimalist approach in its design and interactions, there's a ton to explore and discover in its world.  It's a fantastic example of "less is more" when it comes to game design.  Stray also does an exemplary job of pacing its backstory in line with progression in the game.  This was one of my favorite games I've played this year and I was pleasantly surprised how much I liked it.  

 

I managed to do Can't Catch Me in about 20 minutes, but I definitely see how that trophy can be frustrating.  It did seem like an oddly placed trophy in a game that is otherwise quite relaxing.  

 

Anyways, this game is free on PS+ Extra and Premium, so it's really a no-brainer to take 8 hours of your time to play it.  

 

Other Progress:

• working on Atelier Sophie DX.  I'm still getting used to the game genre and mechanics, and while I'm not sure if the game is really for me, I'm not exactly having a bad time with it.  We'll see how it goes as I push forward
• very briefly started Cat Quest II
• I am also using a swap, replacing Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning with God of War: Ragnarok.  I'm unexpectedly going back over to Germany right after Thanksgiving so that's going to cut a week out of this month to finish games, and GoW:R is about a 20-30h shorter completion.  I'm only about 2 hours in but the opening act was very good, and the 120fps  performance mode is absolutely bonkers.  Can't wait to keep playing it.

Here's another update from me. I haven't been able to play much since I've been really busy working and also moving into our new apartment in Amsterdam. I did complete Sifu today . Really happy to have completed this. I quite enjoyed this game, but the last trophies were a bit annoying. 

 

I'm not really sure what to do now, I really want to play God of War Ragnarok, but also finish Yakuza: Like a Dragon. I don't think I'll be able to complete the challenge, so I might also take some games to the next one.

3rd Update:

 

My disc of God of War 3 keeps getting stuck in certain cutscenes I had to rip Helios head off half a dozen time before I could push forward.. the whole game keep on freezing and now it is stuck again so I left it, we shall see I can get it to work at later date maybe... I moving forward with Little Hope but it's been stressful because it keeps crashing, specially when demons are attacking. I've been trying to continue from my latest chapter in a new save but that has not help at all. I would rather not have to restarted considering this barely my first play through but its starting to look that way.

 

I don't know I am seriously considering swapping the games I have left for something less bugged.

But anyways, finally cleared the 1st palace and entered May in PSR's timeline, so I am working on it. Haven't hit Mementos yet, but I plan to get the first Mementos trip before I go to bed. I decided to freeze my PS4 version until I got the platinum for this version since I have less time with the PS5 version.

It's rumored to take a full week to platinum, so I am going to try to push it out and kill every foe with the Doombringer so I can get this challenge finished before Thanksgiving, now that I have settled into my tiny hut. Will probably have to bribe my dad for snacks because I consumed all of my rice cakes and have nothing to snack on.

If it were me, I'd definitely do that. That's why I am not stacking Secret of Mana, because the Vita version is so buggy that it actually forced me to hard reboot my Vita because it crashed and I couldn't get to the Home Screen! Pressing the PS button didn't get out of the game, it was just dang frozen forever.

Well, I completely screwed the shark, so to speak. I missed something in the guide I was using and accidentally slept on two evenings I had to watch movies, so now my stat spread is borked because of having to drop one study session and one crafting session and their stat boosts to watch that dang movie, so I am just deleting my save and starting over from the beginning. I know I have 19 days left to attempt to get the platinum for P5R, but I only have a week before I be busy playing Pokemon Scarlet or Violet. I could just relegate the new Pokemon games to my morning walks, but I'm a bit concerned that I wouldn't get to the end of them before I get spoiled to the content as Scarlet and Violet have three mandatory stories that last as long as a normal game from Gen 1-8, so the game will be three times as long.

 

Well, let's see if I can get back to Madarame's palace with Yusuke before Paldea opens up to the public. (I'll be using Montyzu's guide on this site this time as, even though I can grab back Izanagi-no-Okami, his trait makes him stronger with every unique Persona you register.)

 

EDIT: On second thought, I'm going to look through the guide I was using and find a way to do a speedy minimalist guide that I might someday submit to this site for those who don't care about the Thieves' Den achievements. I had enough of fishing up rare fish after getting the Guardian of the Sea in Inaba on my Vita. (Yep, tried to platinum Persona 4 Golden, failed miserably, hoping the PS4 version of P4G won't have Hardcore Risette but not holding my breath.)

Update 10

 

Hey everyone, hope you're all having an awesome week ?

 

I'm starting my update this week with a bit of admin. I've decided to swap out Red Dead Redemption 2 and replace it with God of War Ragnarok. I knew there was no way I'd complete RDR2, I initially added it in thinking this was the long 6 month event, but to be honest I'm not really feeling it right now. I got all the online wrapped up over the summer, so I can just do the single player campaign at my own pace. Plus I picked up GoW Ragnarok on Wednesday and I haven't been able to put it down. It's an awesome game and an excellent sequel to the 2018 iteration. I'm about 2/3 of the way through the story, maybe I'll get that part finished before the weekend is over but I'm not rushing (but also trying to avoid spoilers, I've already seen one). There will still be lots of side missions and collectables to keep me busy ?. 

 

Prior to Wednesday I was still chipping away at Detroit Become Human. It's getting a bit more interesting now I'm further in the story, but the game has been sidelined while I play through GoW ?. I think I should be able to get these 2 done before the end of the month. I have a week off work coming up soon so that'll help a lot ?.

Okay, I need to stop holding my ever-loving Ducklett in my arms and get back on track so I can return to the point I was at when I restarted Persona 5 Royal(Madarame's Palace, final infiltration) - and yes, I mean Ducklett: I had to go to the zoo this morning due to Pokemon GO supposedly having a community day(I did get to collect a coin and see Gimmighoul following my avatar ) and then I got to April 21 in the game before I had to go to church. But I need to be on pace because... okay, less ranting, more story advancing.

 

I am writing myself a minimalist guide using Optinoob's calendar. I wanted to use Montyzu's guide, but it's a 100% everything in the game, and I am not going fishing except for the trophy. I've had nightmares about the dang Guardian of the Sea from Persona 4 Golden! ??

I did it! I think this is the first time I have managed to finish one of these challenges!

 

I finished Maneater off today and I 10/10 do not recommened this game, it is just a button mashing laggy annoying game, which was fine until there were time trials to complete. 

 

I am going to sit out of the Winter one because I know I'm going to be pretty busy, so see you all in Spring! ?
