Tagging DLC as Shovelware

Looks like they tested the site to see if any action would be taken before unleashing the flood gates on all the games by adding DLC overtime to take up the main page, well swift action was taken quickly, so It's safe to say they prob won't add any more unless they charge people for it.

Any proof for that?

Nope, guessing like most people would, that is what I believe they are doing as they are watching these threads being plastered all over the main page is their bread and butter so of course they are keeping an eye on things they're not stupid.

So now we make accusations by assumptions and beliefs?

If they'd prey on trophy hunters then either the main game would cost more or the DLC (which is free) would cost something. Or the PS4 version of Stroke the Dog gets DLC too, which as of now didnt happen.

Would you look at that, who is viewing this thread? Oh, that's right the DEVS and this is just a test they wouldn't go all out for no good reason if this site is just gonna essentially hide the games as they don't make the main page etc. These DEVS are not stupid all these types of games are cheap for a reason so more people buy them if they were expensive they would not really sell that way.

Make them cheap, and people who have an addiction for leaderboards will buy them in the droves. The formula changed from all gold trophies to now more trophies, but they're now bronze, so it all depends on how you look at it. Patches cost money as well as DLC, so they have got to weigh up if the cost of putting it on the store is too high to warrant completionists coming back for DLC, as most people why compete on the leaderboards do not care are %.

You have no evidence to bolster your accusation. Btw 1st patch/DLC is free of charge. But if it wasnt then making such an abstract "advertisement" for the game and then handing out the DLC free a bit of a loss calculation in their books.

This doesn't add up right.

Otterific Games released free DLCs as well e.g. for their Minesweeper clone in a time when shovelware started to become released more often and nobody made the assumption there.

As it says on Twitter:

"There is going to be a lot of additional content added to the "Stroke" series of games for PS5. All will be completely free, just to give that little bit more value."

And that should be proof that they circumvent the shovelware ban? A bit of a stretch.

Alright, now that Sly has seen and apparently started to fix the issue, I see this issue as resolved and will close the thread before it goes off the rails like all the rest did.

Thanks for the quick turnaround @Sly Ripper!

Edit: Actually, is it fixed? https://psnprofiles.com/games has a toggle for hide/show shovelware, but https://psnprofiles.com/games/dlc does not.

He's aware of it. Probably just needs to work out some bugs. It's getting resolved.
