Popular Post light772sandwich
If you guys have followed my journey in the guide writing discord you would know that I’ve been working on a trophy guide for this game for about 3 months now. Since I had platinumed it and absolutely loved the game to death and I started to play it over and over and over again. So intern I learned a lot about the game and decided to make a trophy guide on it. However, I have been working on this guide for around 3 months and are nowhere near finished since I had set a very high bar of standard that I wanted to meet. For example, I wanted to fully explain how to kill all bosses in the pantheon of Hallownest and knight. I have done this for the trophies that require you killing a specific boss for and it has went pretty well. I’ve also explained where all the mask shards and vessel fragments are, listed all charms and explained where they are etc. The reason I’m saying this to you guys is that I’m getting very very busy with school and other irl things to where I cannot spend hours fighting a single boss over and over again to write a guide about it and explain how it works. So, I may just finish the rest of the trophies I have left then gradually over time, I will update the guide for the pantheon related trophies and I will eventually add a lot more detail to the Trials trophies and others maybe. I didn’t want you guys thinking I was trying to be lazy by not doing a good guide on the pantheons so I was letting you guys know that I will submit it for publishing then gradually update it when I have the time to. I want to publish it and get it out there and help people with it asap since it has took so long. So could y’all tell me if you think this is a good idea? I decided to do this because I asked in the very good and welcoming PSN guide writers headquarters discord server and they gave me this great idea to tell you guys. I wish everyone the best on playing this lovely game and getting the sweet platinum. My guide will be done in possibly a week or more depending on what happens. Thank you all for reading. GT__Jedi
Works for me. I love this game but am absolutely horrible at it! I think you should just publish what you have with a disclaimer that it is a work in process. I personally would read it and give it a test run!
Deadly_Ha_Ha
Just to clarify, you mean publish the guide without complete trophy information about some of the most difficult trophies in the list?

In short yes. I wanted to get the guide out so I can help people faster so like I said up there I would publish it and then start to update the guide and add way more information onto the longer and harder trophies just so you guys actually have a guide to look at while I do the long process of updating it. I think you should finish it when you actually finish it. In all seriousness there are a lot of resources for Hollow Knight currently, which isn't to say you shouldn't do this guide, but if you believe in the work you've done you should submit it in its entirety and not do so early and update it piecemeal
HaserPL
If the guide isn't fully finished it won't be published. You could do a gameplay guide, focus on the things you have completed and then when you have the time, you can work on the rest and use the existing guide as a resource to compliment the rest.
Bloke
I was under the assumption that once a guide is completed for a game, creating duplicate guides that detract or have less quality from the first wont be approved. Optinooby's guide has everything for 100% so I'm unsure whether an incomplete guide will be approved.
AihaLoveleaf
Hold on to the guide until it's done. Your duty as a guide writer is to make sure that those playing your game are in good hands. A good guide is worth waiting for, and those that need the guide badly enough can wait. Imagine how much more impressive your guide will be if you open with a bang, sharing the absolute peak of your expertise with awaiting players. Either way, it's going to take time to compile all of your boss strategies, so allow yourself that time to build your guide up to its best possible state first.
light772sandwich
Okay, after reading your guys reply’s the overwhelming option is to only publish it when it’s done, none of the updating it and publishing while it’s half baked. I will do that now since you guys think it’s the best idea. Thank you all for sharing your opinions!
CelestialRequiem
Usurping the present guide on this site is the benchmark you should be aiming for to even be considered for publication.
BlackSquirrell1
For me personally, if you have any of it done I'd be interested in seeing it and using it. I could let you know if there are any tweaks that you could consider before publishing it to the masses.
XpanderFX
hi, i dont want to make a new thread so ill ask here. i want to play the game with invicibility enabled from start, and play blind without guides. a full relax playthrough. however ill use the guide at the end for getting remaining stuff, mainly collectibles. the question is if the game keep tracks of them so it will be easy to follow a guide, otherwise ill have to visit all places from scratch even if i already got those collectibles. thanks
