Popular Post Kal-El457
- This post assumes you're also referencing the trophy guide/General Googling - PREREQUESITIES : poe.ninja. Path of Building Fork(if you have a computer). POE WIKI(use the search on the top right to check general uniques etc) poe.ninja to check the meta of the current league. Path of building because if you import a build from a streamer, this is the program they usually use. You can also check Maxroll but I highly recommend Path Of Building(POB) Hey guys, This is KaL. I advise taking time to read this entire post and really process this information. I normally play this game on PC and I am usually a very high ranked player on the leaderboards for specific builds I play. I platinumed this game in 2019 on PS4 in under 70hrs. I will embed my POE official profile. In the last league that just ended, I again had over 2500 Divines on Gear/Builds. If you have time Watch Ziziaran's beginners guide HERE. I've checked out content from him for years when I was a new player. He has some of the most helpful content for new players. If you watch youtube videos on this game, everyone will make statements that apply to PC. If they mention anything regarding the economy/meta farming, easy item to buy on trade etc..I would advise disregarding it all. Console is very different. You have to play like you are completely SOLO. You can still use the trade market, just know things are far more limited and there isn't any regulation to allow fair pricing. Disclaimer : I would advise buying stash tabs, the sale happens every few weeks. - A good resource for checking the next sale and all mods/items..basically everything about the game etc is HERE. Stash tabs would cost about $30 on sale for the relevant stash tabs. The tabs you'd need when going for PLATINUM are as follows in order of priority. Currency, Map, Fragment, Divination, Essence and Blight. I'd personally say just buy ALL of them including the Ultimatum Tab, Delve and Delirium. I'd say Currency/Map/Divination are absolutely REQUIRED. POE has one of the most difficult trophy lists of any game on console not because the game is that ridiculous to platinum but because the game itself is inherently difficult and the tools aren't available on console to properly support the curve compared to PC. This current league coming up soon on console(starts on Friday 12/8/23 on pc) will have some amazing changes. This is a good time to play because on console, trading is limited, items are more scarce and you want to play a more non trade solo type of approach. The meta changes/balance have taken a lot of things you normally need a Discord server or constant trading for away. This is going to allow you to possibly reduce the overall time/frustration to platinum the game. If you are currently playing the game on non league content but only just started, its probably easier to just restart entirely for the league specific content. You will need to watch videos and try pick a strong build. I advise looking at https://poe.ninja/ > clicking builds and using the time machine function to adjust and see what the pc community is playing. You can filter by class. You have a 1 week lead time on viewing the PC meta to decide since the league starts a week later on console. The hardest trophies are actually quite doable because you can do them at baseline difficulty. There are a few trophies that will be very difficult but you have to improve your build to a point where you can reliably clear the content. You will need a build that can handle boss specific trophies(Killing Uber Atziri,Breachlords,Shaper, Maven, Uber Elder etc) - I'd suggest this build if you're a new player as well because its new player friendly, requires little to no special gear to start and is utilizing the recently reworked Guardian ascendancy which is amazing for leveling, requires few items to start and allows you to easily progress with cheaper items. I will attach/update this post as I go and discover new things so feel free to reference if you're looking for updates. The atlas itself is quite easy to complete for the trophy this league since a lot of maps that were previously quite difficult have been removed from the atlas over time. Mechanic overhauls also allow tons of maps to be obtained as well. I recommend searching Kirac on the atlas tree if you've beaten the campaign so you can get nodes that allow you to get more drops related to Kirac. He's an NPC that lets you reroll the maps available to buy from him. He also allows you to get unique maps. These are all helpful to progress on your atlas to get VOIDSTONES Voidstones are required to complete the atlas. You get 4 of them total. You'll need to complete the story quest lines on the Eater of Worlds and the Searing Exarch. You can google those or YouTube search them to get an idea. The Voidstones give you a couple of trophies(see trophy guide) I also attached a POE Atlas tree updated for this new league. The tree is completely overwhelming, especially if you are a new player. This tree becomes relevant after you finish the campaign(story mode). You get 1 passive point for the tree per map you complete. Path of Exile is a super in-depth game and this is what makes it unique, the tree essentially allows you to tailor content to your liking. You can choose to make specific types of content more rewarding or spawn more often. I put my actual week 1 strategy on the tree that I will be doing on PC. The tree I put there is to complete your atlas. Once you have every point I allocated there, you'll want to go for THIS tree. This adds a few extra points to allow maps to drop 1 tier higher.(instead of the game dropping you a T8 map, it will drop a Tier 9)(for context there are 16 tiers) At this point, you can specialize in content. I put content that is Solo/Console Friendly. CLICK HERE. Every tree is a continuation, so u can continue to follow. Once your atlas is 95-100/115, I would start using atlas respec points or Orbs of Unmaking to drop the ATLAS progression tree nodes(Do this only if you have gotten a decent amount of Atlas scouting reports. It is costly to change your ATLAS tree. When you respec out of the ATLAS Progression tree, your tree should look like THIS. This is a more or less finished ATLAS, you will work towards this as you play if you want to reliably kill UBER ELDER and MAVEN(required for the last 2 VOIDSTONES) If you're on console attempting this platinum, you should know there is wayyyyy less trading than on PC. I did less than 10 trades when I platinumed this game in 2019 on PS4, during the equivalent Blight league in 2019 on PC, I probably traded 500+ times. This tree emphasizes SOLO Play but benefits more if you group and help each other. The strategy I prioritized allows you to rush the atlas and allows you to improve your gear early on without needing to trade with a poorly designed system. You will need the premium currency tabs(mentioned in the disclaimer) to avoid being completely demoralized on this game, there are just too many things to loot and it makes it all more reliable/streamlined to experience if you just have a few premium tabs. They have stash tab sales regularly. I'd say $30 when tabs are on sale would be enough to have all you'd really need. The content priority on the tree POST ATLAS is Essence and Harvest. This allows you to utilize the best crafting mechanics in the game currently. You can open the tree link and search on the bottom left for content by name. For example if you are concerned about the Breach Lord trophy, you can search "Breach". This works both on the in game tree and on the tree I have embedded. You earn 1 point every time you complete an uncompleted map and 2 points from special "invitation" content. As a disclaimer, you don't need to do all the content in POE for the platinum. All you need to focus on is the requirements for plat. If you like the game a lot, just play it on PC if you can lol. BUILDS - What makes this game special are builds, there are tons of them. Aside from the 2 build videos I have embedded on this thread above, I'd suggest any of these builds here in this section. I can't go into full details because that would make my post a bible post but know that I've either played these builds or know people who have that I trust and the streamers posting these builds I can vouch for. - Falling Zombies Guardian! - AMAZING League Starter(I would advise caution because this relies on the new patch 3.23 changes, use the guardian build I mentioned at the start of this post otherwise, Zizaran even says he will level as the other guardian build I suggested. Elementalist Detonate Dead - HERE. You can also do Poison Pathfinder. Builds are really super diverse. My general advice is to not worry about trophies at all when playing this game on console, your priority should be completing the atlas. Replicating the Atlas Tree I referenced above. Save all your currency and try to match any build you are trying to play. Once you feel comfortable, that is when you want to tackle a trophy. For example, Uber Atziri requires pieces of the Mortal Fragments. On PC they are cheap, easily obtained and tradeable, on console it isn't the case. If you attempt that fight and fail it(you have 6 chances)...it could take you 10-15+ hrs possibly before you get to do it again. This is assuming you are doing everything solo entirely. My Step by Step Priority for Plat. : Pick a strong starting class. This meta, I'd advise grabbing 1 build from THIS video. Choose something you like, you shouldn't just play the Guardian I recommended earlier in this post. All of these builds are good, I generally trust his recommendations. They are detailed and very new player friendly. Now that you have your class, priority should be > grab a related build off YouTube from reliable creators/streamers if you arent happy with the suggestion I made. Download pathofbuilding to import their POB, use their step by step leveling guides. Yes I know its ridiculous, the game requires you to have a college degree before you really play TBH..if you prep before you play, you'll not hate your life and want to drink bleach..trust! The league will start on the 15th on PS...the goal is clear the story and start the atlas, don't worry about getting too high in map tiers early, that is what is meta on PC but remember you have to play/think differently on PS. Your sole goal should be how do I gear up entirely alone without trading, you can attempt to trade for uniques but the trade market GGG(developers) implemented is a joke. Push level 80+ Make sure you're doing your the Labs as you feel comfortable. It would be ideal to have 3 Labs done when entering maps. Lab difficulty is Level 33 for normal/55 for cruel/68 for Merc and 75 for Uber. I'd advise being over the level suggested for those. You can check poelab.com for the lab Layouts. The Lab gives you your ascendancy and is what the game is all about, awesome builds! Once you start the atlas, reference the Atlas tree I mentioned and start rushing the content. Note that I have breach blocked on the final tree, do not worry about this. You can block content so it forces other content into your map, you can easily respec this 1 point to push for the breachlord trophy when ready. A note about 6-Linking. The trophy for 6 Linking could be quite difficult. It's completely RNG but there are some strategies you can employ. - Delve Content has a Fossil Called a Perfect Fossil : This can put your items quality up to a max of 30%. It is also possible to drop items at 30% quality. The higher the quality, the better your chance at getting the item to 6Link. You'll want to save all orbs of fusings, vendor any corrupted 6 Link items that you may find that are not useful to you or friends, save all of them up. Once you have 500+, you can start spamming them and hope that you 6Link the item. Unfortunately this is completely RNG and there isn't much else you can do. When I first played this game on console, I thought I'd never platinum it because of this trophy. It is so random, I actually got the trophy after 42 fusings, a guy I randomly met wanted to 6L his item...I asked him if he'd let me do it for the trophy, he gave me the item and fusings and I hit it...it was that lucky! ?. On PC I've done that many times in under 30fusings but you can easily brute force it through trade, console its really challenging with the trade market. It isn't impossible to use the Market, it is just too complicated and clunky for no reason. I will continue to update this thread, post more builds and answer any questions as they are posted. GL on the platinum. It will take you a long time, 100-300+ HRS If you are brand new or have a hard time trying to grasp this game but it is doable. It isn't new player friendly at all, clunky but it is still the best ARPG and best loot based game i've ever played. BubbleJayGum
I've never been particularly interested in this game because I haven't heard much about it. But now I have learned that it has a very challenging platinum trophy. I'm curious - what makes it so difficult? Is it because you need to spend a lot of time mastering the game's mechanics, or because it requires a high level of skill to kill enemies? Perhaps there's a lot of RNG involved, or is it a combination of all these factors? I enjoy a good challenge, so I might give it a try in the near future. You need to learn the game which ppl who have 3000+ hrs are still learning every week basically and some of the bosses do require a high amount of skill. There is a trophy for Killing every Breachlord, this was previously easy but starting this league for a new player, they may never defeat 1 breach lord at all because they updated the content lol and yes there is tons of rng involved. The game is merciless, unforgiving. I've been playing a long time so for me the platinum is a joke. I officially do the "plat" on pc every league just by playing except for the "No Stone Unturned" trophy because that's pointless on PC.

Thank you for all the info, man! Your first post really motivated me to try and get the platinum in this game. ? I've also watched some gameplay videos, and the game looks really cool. As I mentioned before, I may give it a shot in the near future.
dRk_
Hello, This topic made me want to get back to it, and try platinum again. I quit twice because of the 6-links trophy. I told myself that before trying again, I would try this one first. Result = I went standard, I exchanged all my currencies for fusing. 1800 orbs -> Fail 6links... I am at more than 5,000 fusing (in 3 tries), this trophy is cursed and does not want to pop. I am very hesitant to start a league again, only to end up giving up in disgust for this trophy. Sorry for my bad english ^^

Suporex
Guys listen to OP guy. I have plat but I returned after D4 beta and league being interesting. It is way easier to platinum it now for sure. I created RF as starter build based on Pohx build and I am just cruising. getting all the maps in atlas was hard back in the day due to some maps being very expensive but now with missions from that Krac dude and unique maps being available there is easy peasy. There was this one map where you had to fight previous champions and I remember I needed special build for that. I didn't do it yet this league so not sure and can't comment but you always can invite someone to help with that map with proper build for it. Anyway GL HF for anyone that will try plat this league
Delameko
The thing that's really defeating me is kiling Uber-Elder or The Maven for the third voidstone. My Righteous Fire Jugg clears all the content pretty easy, no-death kills of Elder, Shaper, and Sirus, four of the Maven invitations done. But these two fights just chew me up and spit me out. The Jugg's DPS is just too low, my last attempt at Maven, I was fighting for 30 minutes and didn't even get to the last phase. I then spent two weeks working on my gear, only to go back into Uber-Elder and get destroyed again. And then the league ran out, and I can't face starting from scratch in the new league. I just finished levelling a Fire Trap Elementalist, as I can give her my jugg's gear, and if she can't defeat either of them, then I don't think I have the morale to continue. I'll give it a year or two and hope they change the trophy requirements again. Really wish I'd finished clearing the red maps at launch now, I'd already have the plat.
CharlesB753
So... I googled the league, and it seems the current league, Crucible does not have an end date. Based on the current dates, it seems as though it would be safe to assume this league will run through until August - yes? I looked it up because Delameko's message was confusing: 58 minutes ago, Delameko said: ... I then spent two weeks working on my gear, only to go back into Uber-Elder and get destroyed again. Please keep in mind I know next to nothing about this game, but this game has been on my to-do list for a long time, and this seems like a good time to dive in if so! Yeah, this is a great time to dive in, as the league has only been out for a couple of weeks. The leagues usually last for 3-4 months. I started my recent character in the previous league (Sanctum) and played it for about six weeks before the league ended. When the league ends, your characters get moved to the standard league. The problem with the standard league is that, firstly, everything is very expensive to buy (from other players), and secondly, there's not a whole lot of people playing on standard. To give an example, I used to sell 5-8 items a night on Sanctum league (and that was at the end of the league), whereas in the first two weeks on standard I've only sold 1 item total. It's also worth mentioning, that if you're playing the current league, you can probably pay other players 1-2 divines to carry you through one of the boss encounters I mentioned. I've tried doing that on standard and I haven't had any takers. One person contacted me to say they'd do it for 10 divines -- the most divines I've every had is 7! trophynerd122
Does anybody know what the OP refers to exactly when "stash tab" is mentioned? is this something you find ingame or is it one of these packs listed under extras in the psn store? Stash tabs = item tabs when you open stash in hub locations. For free you have 4 tabs 12x12. You can buy additional 12x12 or tabs for specific types of objects (currency, gems, cards, etc.). These are only available ingame in Microtransactions (press start on controller while playing). For platinum: Currency tab and single premium tab (for trading so only if you are not playing SSF) are must have. Additionally I would suggest having Maps tab. On sale you can get all of these for <200 coins.

Technically, you could play the game w/o these stash tabs, but it would be an extremely awful experience. Loot and materials are so crucial to the game, you will be very gimped after a couple of Acts putting your progression to a screaching halt without them. Although the auto-sort feature of these tabs are nice, it's the amount of space it gives you that makes a difference. Technically, it's not "pay to win", but it semantics IMO...it's pay-to-win. Having said all that, if you're a fan of action RPGs/Diablo clones, this is a fun, hardcore game that's worth throwing a few bucks to support this team. I gave up on the platinum due to the crashing on the PS4. At high levels you will lose XP and your map tokens if you die and sometime crashing equals death resulting to several hours of lost playtime. Think of a stash tab as the briefcase in Resident Evil, but about 1000x more loot. In a Resident Evil briefcase you have ammo, weapons, healing items, etc...the stash tabs allow you to make a many "briefcases" for each type of item. Many of these stash tabs are just empty which you can color code and name, Premium ones are specifically made that organize items for you and are actually quite handy, especially if you have OCD. Could you imagine playing Resident Evil 4 with no inventory briefcase at all? That's would it would be like playing with their default stash tab (I think they give you one or two). That's probably the best way I can explain it. There's no "gold" in PoE, so the currency are crafting items which you need to use for upgrades, crafting and trading which makes the Currency stash tab worth a purchase. Also, post-game requires making maps (4 pieces) which you have to craft. You'll get many of these throught your playtime, so having a Premium tab for that one also handy as SaviorKIA mentioned. MatThaRiPP3R84
As of next league some significant changes will be coming, specifically drop rate nerfs to sanctum which is the biggest source of currency farm in game, and possibly harvests which is another good currency farm. if players trash on the league enough the league afterwards may very well be much improved, but recently a clip surfaced showing just how broken sanctum was and i think it made the devs do backflips. fbdbh
I understand that this game changes occasionally, so how would a platinum look like for somebody who usually spreads out completion over multiple years, possibly? There's no way I'm going to sit down to grind out certain time-sensitive content. Is it doable then? How should I approach it? Its been a couple of years, so some of this is going to be half-remembered. You will need to do all the maps in one season. They change up the Atlus each season, and some maps stay done, and others do not. Certain things, like Shaper, have the requirements to fight them change. Builds get nerfed and buffed each season, so if you get a good build, take 6 months off and come back, it may be trash. This game also runs like shit on playstaion. It may be better now, but back when I got the plat, it crashed like once an hour. I pop back in here now and again to see how things are, and as of today it has 23 recent players. Overall player count was low when I was playing, I imagine is worse now. Trade is important in this game, and with low player counts, and clunky controller communication, it sucks to trade on console. But grinding all the things you need, well its RNG but your looking at hundreds of hours, if not pushing 1k if you get truly unlucky. You do you, but my advice is to avoid this game. Play it on PC if you can, its much much better there. On PS4/5 its a real slog.
Nojo999
Will this build be viable for solo platinum in the new league? RF got some huge changes and I'm thinking of going to do this build then. Maybe @Kal-El457 knows the answer?
dieselmanchild
@Kal-El457 Are you still playing these days? It looks like a brand new league starts at the end of this month so I’m toying with the idea of maybe trying PoE for the first time ever. But I’m quite overwhelmed with how to get started… this is by far the most intimidating game I’ve ever considered picking up. It looks like PC gets a head start on console by a few days, so would this be enough time to figure out what builds are viable for end game in the new league? My biggest concern with this game is just finding a good, strong build that could handle the end game, and a guide to follow to help me allocate points and gear correctly so I don’t mess it up. All the rest I can learn as I go along and play and have fun. I just hate the thought of investing a huge chunk of time only to realize my build sucks and I need to start over from scratch or something. I’ve got a few weeks to decide if I’m going to start this or not but in the mean time I’m gonna mess around a bit on my alt and see how it feels. It looks like a brand new league starts at the end of this month so I’m toying with the idea of maybe trying PoE for the first time ever. Yep, the head start is actually a good thing in ways for console because the "hype" builds can be confirmed and you'll know what is truly worth playing. I always personally advise Witch/Marauder per the recent metas because if you start as a witch and go into a necromancer, u can swap to occultist etc later. Since ive started POE the Witch has been the best class in the game overall in some way. You have essentially 3 months to play the league then you could even continue in standard before the next league starts to finish trophies so its not that bad, it's just the time and willingness to learn. 100-300hrs for sure.

I’ll check out some Witch/Marauder builds. Right now I’ve got a few builds in mind that I like (Few Toxic Rain builds, Righteous Fire Juggernaut etc) and have seen people say helped them get the plat in the past. I guess for now it’s just a waiting game to see what, if anything, changes in the new league and whether I could play one of these or need to find something else. In the mean time I got a few weeks to research the game a bit and decide if this is something I really want to go for. Just wanna add that I immensely appreciate the time & effort you put into your post and the links you provided. To be honest, a lot of it is hard to understand without the context of having played the game, so I know at some point I’ll just have to dive in and just start learning the old fashioned way. But I have been looking up info on everything you provided and bookmarking all these great sites. Thanks so much for trying to help new players find their way. 🙂
