Nobody is saying that you can't play however you want, but if people want to announce that they got the platinum on the game by acquiring its hardest trophy by cheesing it, well, players are going to call them out. If a similar exploit would be possible on MGS2 for Big Boss, you definitely would see more people concerned about it. Call it elitism, gatekeeping or what not, it doesn't change the fact that if you don't have the skill to obtain the title/rank without doing exploits that literally take away all the difficulty then you're not entitled to obtain that rank/title/trophy, period.

Playing the original version of the game (jp version was released first) is in no way cheesing or an exploit.

 

Nobody is cheating  or breaking the game doing that, it's part of the package. It's a mode everyone should play at some point because it's different to the western releases ,which is why it's an option to begin with.

 

FYI Most japanese players who obtain this trophy will have done so this way, because it's the default MGS in the japanese version & They share the same trophy list. So in reality the "rarity" & "difficulty" of this trophy was "devalued" the second japanese players got their hands on the game.

I Saw some people showing the Score with 4 alerts. Those alerts are the ones cant be missed, part of The Story? Like the One with Meryl or the One on the elevator after the fight with Hind D?

Correct. You have 4 mandatory alerts IIRC: cells (with Meryl), communication tower (long stairs), Rex hangar when you drop the PAL key and the finale escape. One of them might not count though, since the requirement is "3 to 4 alerts", implying that you can complete the game with 3 alerts only.

 

The fight in the elevator with the four invisible guards does not count as an alert, same for the fight on the large elevator before Raven.

edit:proof and stealth was just unlocked. It is easy to do it first time if you know the game.

 

 

im guessing there is an option in the game to switch to the Japanese version is there? Someone is saying you have to download a Japanese language pack so I’m not sure if that’s some sort of dlc or if they mean the Japanese region of the ps5 game or what

If you go to the first game on the top of the main menu there is an option to choose language. Choose Japanese and it will prompt you to download a pack for free.
