@Inuty yeah, this. The biggest change this year is that only Platinum tier lists get badges. Bronze Silver and Gold get names on the leaderboards but no badges.

That's insane lol, it took me like 2 months of spreadsheet hockey to get a list with 17 badges, this is amazing! Your Jock badge should come embossed in gold. 

 

I can poke one hole in the list, though: MLB The Show 23 is not playstation exclusive for Fanboy. You'd have to use '20 or earlier...The Show is developed by a first party studio but because of some contract issue with MLB the games have been multiplatform since '21.

Thanks for the kind words and good catch! I completely forgot about the exclusivity lapse.

 

I think this actually can work in my favour though - I realised I have non-fiction from Rugby Challenge, and I still have the genre badge because Starwhal and Hunting Sim are sport games...so the only badge I actually need to replace is Fanboy. Last of Us Part 2 is a 3/10 difficulty, qualifies for fanboy, AND has an award-winning guide 👀

This stuff blows me away that y'all are able to cram so many badges into a single list lol AND with Rebourne Roulette, which seems like it'd be so much harder since you didn't have control over 3 of your games. That's awesome.

I had a neat UR + Royal Flush + Loyalist list planned with up to 21 badges but it included 2 or 3 games I didn't really wanna play. So when I saw the above lists with 22+ badges, I just thought "well let's give up on doing more, it will just be a headache and I prefer to play games I want anyway".

But then I had the idea of counting the badges on a list I tailored only to get 3 specific badges (Hardcore, PS3 Master, Series Master) and, lo and behold, I ended up with 24 badges 😅

So I made two tweaks to what I had planned (replaced Demon's Soul with Dark Souls 2 for PS4 Master, replaced my 9/10 game that wasn't giving me any badge) for a total of 26 badges (could go up to 27 if I had 7 of those games in my backlog, but I only have 4 at the moment). All games appeal to me except my 9/10 so if someone else get more badges or I don't need as much I will surely skip it and replace it with my original 9/10.

I am using Google Sheets for my lists, when I copy and paste from there it creates a grid by default. It gives an option to disable rich text but if you don't do that it keeps the grid.

 

Since I am here anyways I will post my remaining lists I actually found a way to get every badge in 5, but the final list is of course under construction because of the lack of 2024 games at present.

Having to keep options largely more open for this list since it needs 2024 games. The 10/10 will probably be a PS4 title which means all of 2-7 need to be PS5, one needs to be Final Fantasy, all with PSNP difficulty ratings.

Yes that's for sure. Still, even if I can't complete it in the end, it is a lot of fun to plan those lists and to see everyone come up with all those big badges list!

Well, the main reason is that I only own one of the other six game right now (DS2) 😅 Most of them are on ps+ extra so I was planning to do them when I get a subscription later in the year.

 

And I am also happy to fill my lists for backlog badges with only games that I truly had in my backlog before December 2023 (the only exception is Days Gone but I already planned to start it this month beforehand).

 

I already have another list planned for Royal Flush so it would only be for the sake of most number of badges in a list.

 

Still Metal Slug Anthology and Surgeon are on sale so if I feel like it I might do it with those two + DS2 before the end of the year.
