Sora9669
The correct title for this game is "LIGHTNING RETURNS: FINAL FANTASY XIII" not "FINAL FANTASY XIII: LIGHTNING RETURNS". If you want proof just ask Square Enix or insert the game into your PS3 or view you trophy list on your PS3.

theJJ88
No offense but who the hell cares? Not me. First world problems here guys. edit: Seriously though, it's better this way. Game can be found at F, Final Fantasy, with other XIII games. It being at L would be more confusing. Edited November 24, 2014 by theJJ88
DrBloodmoney
Those titles are taken from the sony servers I believe, not created individually for the site.
Satoshi Ookami
I don't think we should destroy the possibility to search for FF game by clicking on games with F just because someone in SE was drunk and switched the order of the name. Anyways, DrBloodmoney should be correct, check if it's LR FF13 or FF13 LR on PSN.
amebapiko
It doesn't even matter but technically its correct, since the series name is more important than the title of the particular game.
Shadiochao
I prefer it this way. This means it'll be placed among the other Final Fantasy games in the list, which is great for people like me who like to complete full series.
BlindMango
I think it was changed at some point so that it would appear next to all of the other Final Fantasy games on the games list, it's just a thing on how it was chosen to be organized.
Ka-Pi96
I think it's much better this way. Means it shows up to the other FF XIII games when sorted alphabetically, as it should.
Annare_
It's actually LR:FFXIII but I too think it's better this way. Worst name for a sequel ever btw.
Neon-Sentinel
The guy is right. You folks say it was placed like that to help with search, but why that doesn't happen with Call of Duty? To find the Modern Warfare games i have to search their names, and not CoD.

Dr_Mayus
I think however it appears on PSN should be how it appears on this site. We put games as The Last of Us even though most people would search under L for it so why is this game so different.

Jon-Patrick-S
I think it was purposely changed to be that way, if I remember right awhile back it was suggested that some of the trophy names be altered so that entire series could be displayed together more specifically the Assassin's Creed half of which had trophy lists which were just AC followed by the game subtitle. Look for yourself and you can see the names here differ from the proper trophy lists in order to appear together. I'm guessing someone pointed out the same issue for this title and it was changed accordingly. Which works better comes down to whether you like it to look more organized or more official. The difference there is that the Assassin's Creed games were changed to identify the game by it's correct title: "Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood", and not "AC Brotherhood" in which case it was PSN that deviated from correctly titling the game. In this case, they've deviated from the correct title of the game for the sake of grouping them together here on PSNP. The correct title is Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII and that's how I think the game should be identified here. "Final Fantasy XIII" is the byline in this case, not "Lightning Returns". If I had had a reason to look for the game on the games listing here, I'd have gone to L first and been confused. I'll give the search engine credit in that it correctly looks for keywords like it should. Edited November 24, 2014 by damon8r351
Karnacharya
I'm in agreement with the topic creator here. I don't necessarily feel that it's particularly important to have games in a series bunched together if it makes significant alterations to the game's title; Lightning Returns is hardly a traditional Final Fantasy game anyway.
Mog
It doesn't matter if "Lightning" comes 1st than "Final" on PSNP, if you search for the word "fantasy", it'll show all titles with that word, and since everyone has "Last Played" as their default order in their profile, i do think Sly should change the title back to Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII since that is its official title no matter what anyone says.

Satoshi Ookami
And that's what i'm saying-http://i.imgur.com/p115qWj.jpg Oh, I see. In that case, yea, you are right, I still feel it's pointless but if that's the case, it should be returned.
