Hi guys!

Not sure if this thread existed already, couldn't find anything in a search for "history".

So i was making a mental list of what games I liked best per console and found out that it wasn't hard to remember the games I enjoyed most, even those of 16 years ago.

I wrote the list down in my phone and thought I shared.

I would love to see your reactions, when you haven't heard of certain games before, or for example if you see many similarities.

And ofcourse, post your OWN lists (but don't post 500 games).

So sort of a 'share your own' and 'discuss each others' topic in one.

My list:

The Games we play do not mold us into who we are, it is the adventures we shared during those long nights gaming that does.

The late nights of enjoying a level that has challenged you to no end.

The sound of music that carries your imagination to new worlds!

Or the simple stories that allowed your mind to escape and create whole new worlds of your own.

That said.

Ps1.- FF7,FF8,FF9, Spyro 1,2,3, Crash 1,2,3, MGS, Ape Escape, Rugrats.

PS2.- FF X, FFX -2 Kingdom Hearts, Def Jam, Def Jam F4NY, Kingdom Hearts 2.

PS3.- Basicly Old Ps2 Collections and Indy Titles.- Also Uncharted and Last Of Us.

PS4.- Indies and Evolve.- Idk being Brutal online calms me.

Sonic the Hedgehog - The game series that really kickstarted my gaming hobby.

Ninja Gaiden (Master System) - The first game I ever completed. It showed me that with determination and will, I could complete games, and show how fun that could be in the process.

Final Fantasy VII - a game that helped forge friendships that last to this day.

WoW - a game I played for 6 years and forged many friendships that allowed me to travel across Europe.

Super Mario Bros NES - Hand eye coordination was amplified

D&D Pools of radiance AMIGA - Taught me not to give up, strategy and determination was worth it

Devil Summoner Sega Saturn - Taught me to get by with Japanese text, I tried so hard to learn and it payed off

Final Fantasy 7 Playstation - This game made my non gaming friends appreciate my love of gaming, it was embarrassing for them to admit. The Nerd in me was free at last

I don't think anything after that particular game has forged any kind of long term thoughts or benefits.

Games that made me who I am as a gamer.

Crash Bandicoot 3. The first game that I ever played. Planted the seed.

Pokemon Blue and Crystal. Revealed the completionist and obessive compulsive side of me. :P

Pokemon had a huge impact on my childhood, not just the games. It got me into drawing and other stuff.

Final Fantasy series. I fell in love with (J)RPGS.

RuneScape. Good times. Learned life lessons (cheaters for one) and English too.

.........a long pause.

Uncharted 2. Got me back into gaming. I was blown away and hooked.

BioShock. I'd never experienced a game like that. A game that can tell a story like a good book or movie.
