Here you go, your well-deserved reward:

Since you like P5, I recommend to give P4 Golden a try too. Compared to P5 it's a bit lacking in terms of game mechanics (for example dungeons are randomly generated and there are no negotiations or confidant perks), but the story and characters are great.

Love it! Ill definitely give that a shot later on down the road. I'm all about good story.

I'm afraid I might not be able to complete this event. I really don't know what went wrong between Persona 5 and me, but I somehow can't bring myself to play the game. Long before P5's release, I watched the P3 and P4 animes and thought they were alright. I enjoyed them. Then many people told me that P5 is a great game (some of my friends whose taste in games I know & approve of as well as reviews of people I don't know) and told me what's good about it. There was next to no negativity and yet I don't play it and don't know why. If you want to tell me what's good about the game and why I absolutely need to play it, feel free to do so. Maybe that will convince me to play the game. If not... Well, then I think I don't have what it takes to be a phantom thief.

Watchin the anime and playing the games has a difference even though most would say playing Persona is like playing a Anime. As for myself i missed the Style of P4 and P3 in P5 but still it got a nice story and a great battle system also whats great is the bonds you develop with all the people and slowly learn more about them, even many of the side characters are great. One of the most fun points in the game (in all Persona games) is the fact that you can fuse a persona and may have a different outcome, you can even try to make a persona with the abilities you want with enought planning. If you like a good story with a nice atmosphere and a great battle-system supported with nice music then you should play it for 5 hours or so since the beginning can be a drag if the story dont get you from the start.

I picked P5 up again a few days ago and just completed the second palace again. I still haven't used any guides on this playthrough yet and I feel like I made some really good progress with the confidants already so I probably won't even need one :P.

That's too bad. What I liked about P5 were the story, characters, exploring Palaces, and learning more about characters through the Confidant ranks. The story starts a bit slow and you don't have any freedom until the first palace can be visited freely. The game has a few flaws though, but the good things outweigh those. What exactly don't you like in P5?

You all can fight over Makoto or Futaba. I romanced Hifumi today. :)

Lol, I thought you'd go for Kawakami.

Yay, finally. Good luck platting the game this month.

Really considered Kawakami, but I'll save her for my second playthrough! ;)

100% of my free time from now on will be invested in Persona 5 until I get the platinum. Let's hope I have enough free time in the rest of this month to actually still complete it in January :P.

Does anyone know when you're supposed to get the text message for the Part-time Job, Full-time Hell request? The guide says ''Obtained from Mishima via text message after you reach rank 4.'' but I already reached rank 4 and didn't get a text message. Some people say you get it the day after reaching rank 4 but I didn't. I scrolled all the way back through my messages to make sure I didn't miss it. I'm on 6/18 now, 4 days after reaching rank 4.

I saw on other forums that it may not trigger if you already have a bunch of outstanding Momentos request and/or have not worked at the convenience store any. Others claim you just have to work a job and get a raise for a day. Not sure if any of this is true, but it's worth a shot. Mine popped the day after, but I didn't see it and almost missed it completely (it was #47 or 48 on my IM, lol). I had done all the supposed requirements mentioned in the forum.

Weird, I got it after reaching rank 4, but already worked at all the available shops at least once.

So how is Persona? Never played a Persona game, but was thinking about giving this one a try.

Watch gameplay of it on YouTube. You'll get a better understanding of it, but I will try my best.

It's a turned based RPG with some time management mixed in with it. You also fight enemies, befriend them through negotiation (Personas), and fuse them with others. You use your free time to make contracts with friends and this gives you perks in and out of battle and allows bonus XP for fusing.

The major criticism it gets is for its repetition, but it's a JRPG...

Guys, am I missing something? (Other than Futaba @Satoshi Ookami )

To add to Beyondthegrave07's comment: it has a solid story, good soundtrack, and diverse characters. Each numbered Persona game is standalone, so you don't need to play Persona 1-4 to understand what's going on in Persona 5.

Yaas! The soundtrack is the best. All of visuals are amazing too. From the menus to the all-out attacks to the game over screen to the cutscenes.

I meant to play it this week, but Tekken 7 got in the way. Hoping to beat the casino this weekend.

BTW @Dragon-Archon, does the second playthrough go by quicker? I'm at like 70 hours, granted that I do leave my PS4 on during football games and anime and grinded money a few times. But I'm hoping the second playthrough is closer to 30-40 hours... Is that reasonable?

Yeah, the second playthrough doesn't take a lot of time since you keep your equipment (except for itemized Personas) and you have access to endgame Personas in the compendium. With that you can breeze through palaces. If you only have the NG+ trophies left for the second playthrough, you only need to play to around May 18th or something to unlock group fusions for Satanael. Afterwards farm the Reaper a few times to level up enough for the optional NG+ boss fight.

Since you can skip the story (there is no difference), it will be faster.
