Sir_Bee
At what point does more resolution just become overkill? 100 GB files is a little ridiculous, especially with how we store data currently.
Ndombele_Skillz
It will be interesting to see how much HDD space the first pS4'S will have, i have not heard anything regarding this.
Pipsqweek
It will be interesting to see how much HDD space the first pS4'S will have, i have not heard anything regarding this.My guess is there will be a 500Gb and a 1Tb model to begin with. Sir_Bee
I hope that the ps4 will use solid state drives. I would be ok with a 250-500 GB solid state drive rather then a bigger, non-solid state drive.
Ndombele_Skillz
My guess is there will be a 500Gb and a 1Tb model to begin with. If true, only the 1TB will suffice for me.
Splatter392
Now I just need a lot money to buy a 4k resolution TV...
yellowwindow7
if so then 1TB will be fair HDD storage size for ps4 then.
Parker
I'm not too concerned with 4K resolution, because I don't see it being affordable (the televisions) to the public anytime soon, or at least not within the PS4's lifespan. Parker
Syphon_Filter
I would avoid the 4K movies at all. I don't want to download 100GB.
NightWing127
still not going to buy it. they're adding so much stuff on ps4- not going to buy it. 100GB- waste of space too Edited March 16, 2013 by NightWing127
Sir_Bee
Blue Ray movies are set to be 40-50 GB too. With a decent compression program, that number is lowered to 4-8 without much detail loss at all. These 100 GB files may not actually be 100 GB, but end up being ~20 GB, which may not be so bad if they really do look as much better as HD looked over SD. EternalChaos72
Wow, a bit crazy, would definetely love to see how big the hard drive capacity is considerig that amount of data.
Karnacharya
Given that digital downloads (of both movies and games) are becoming more and more popular, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw 500GB and 1TB models of the PS4 released in the next few years. ridwaano
i will get disappointed if not minimum 500 gb!!! since playstation 4 games gonna have to take more space then ps3 games!: uncharted 2 is like 18 gb! mass effect 3 is 14 + the new ending 1 gb
ASlimeAppears
4k is way beyond overkill. I'd call it straight up ridiculous, honestly.
AnRoDr
Although I'd love to see a movie played in 4K on a new 80 inch or so television I don't think it will be the new standard for quite a few years to come. I think for games we're now at 720 and for movies at 1080 and that's already breathtaking on my 46' LED tv ... 4K will fry my eyeballs probably Concerning the hard drives in the PS4 I believe we'll be getting at least 1TB of storage because of Sony's shift of attention to the digital distribution of games and content. I'm hoping for an enhanced PLUS membership with added movie and music content for a small surcharge per year.
lordfenton
Give it time and we'll see the 4K stuff for games. Just for now it will be movies and thus PS4 will have mandatory updates on that kind of tech just like the Blu-Ray updates that was always happening on the PS3. Im_The_Tom
Well think of it this way,Compare Watch dogs 1080p Probably the best looking game imo. How about we just slow down and get even better with 1080 before we go 4k.
