Been a couple years since I posted the video on the 3d Maze portion of the game. Nice to see people have discovered new things such as the invincibility code.

 

Anyone else discover more of the Maze's map?

I don't think there has been much progress made on the maze, sadly. Or very much progress lately at all. Seems like we're really hit the wall with those last few platforms.

 

Also, DenySoft's website is up again... and it just has a few links to buy their games. RIP to anyone who ever hoped to figure out what the hell that vault thing was.

Have AZ and AZ2 been delisted? I’ve been looking for hard (really hard) games to try in the near future and spent last night reading through the threads for both of these games and damn will I say I’m intrigued by these two. Something about that near impossibility and the little to absolutely no information that’s known about how to earn the trophies got me wanting to join the hunt. I know I’m years behind starting, but when I checked the PS store (EU) and seen they weren’t there - the links on Denysofts site don’t work either, I was a bit iffed to have missed out on the chance to even attempt helping you guys.

I mapped it using video footage of my runs. I mapped most dead ends, there is one path that I just can't beat. Will upload my map in progress soon so all of you can see what I've seen.

 

Dark green square = Spawn point

Red square = Enemy spawner

Blue square = Ammo

Yellow square = D-icon

Green path = The optimal path through the maze (if you get past this please let me know ?)

 

You need a lot of bullets so when you attempt this you have to get 25 D-icon coins to bug the store out to buy ammo infinitely.

I think I may have an idea on how to get the trophies. Some people have it because on psn it shows the platinum at .6%. Maybe developers? Who knows. I'm gonna test my theory soon.

I wouldn't rely on PSN-% - this are most likely hackers. PSN-% also shows 0.06% plat achievers for Dragon Fin Soup, and this game has glitched / unachievable trophies since its release.

They're trophy hackers. One user popped up on here back when Avengers came out. So far, the hacking seems to be rare, but it'll likely become more prevalent when PS5 releases, unfortunately.

Hi everyone I am very late to the party but I was really intrigued by this, I love cryptic stuff that isn't always what it first appears. I've spent the weekend playing around with this game and I think I discovered something new - but I don't really know if it helps.

 

I was curious how in most scenes of the trailer vid it showed the next level as only 800 points whereas the very last scene in the maze was just 100. And in all cases the player was at level 1. Made me wonder if there was some way of manipulating this, and sure enough, there is.

If you simply press the "Delete" key when in game, it will completely reset all your stats, remove all coins and ammo and reset you to level 1 - the xp required will be 1000. But even more interesting is this: if you press "Delete" (not backspace) when on the loading screen (with the little ball in the maze), when you start, you only need 5 kills to level up! With invincibility on you go up the levels like crazy until about ~6 when it slows down again.

 

The XP required for each level doubles each time, it's completely exponential, so it's not much use past 10. I've made it to level 12 - i was working on the theory that you could perhaps jump further and higher as you level up but doesn't seem to do anything.

I've also made it to the 3rd platform with the impossible jumps after boosting off the robots at the top of the spikes, but it continues! With Invincibility on, you can float all the way to the bottom of the water off the map and run to the boundaries of the level. There is an invisible wall you can climb all the way until you are stopped high in the sky. I tried floating down backwards from there hoping to somehow reach the end of those platforms from that way but it's just too far.. You can do the very same thing from the left side of the level (the start) - I've tried a couple times floating from that top left corner though again nothing). That said, it makes me wonder if that's why invincibility is offered in the first place - to somehow glitch your way to an other inaccessible level. I'm going to try a few more times to see if I can randomly land anywhere using that strat.

 

Regarding the white and red "D" icon in the trailer video - I may be wrong but that looks EXACTLY like the beginning of the first level in the Android trial version. Except it's during the day instead of night. The layout is the same and when you get there it's not there but the keycard is. In the Android version you have to collect the keycards first so I can't help but wonder if the gameplay is faked in the trailer (he always starts at level 1 on every level, has 150000 ammo and the D icon is right there. If it is the place I think it is, there are two robot spawns right where he is running, and in the trailer, no robots..

 

Call me crazy, but I'm really enjoying the challenge of trying to discover new things - I don't think this game has given up it's secrets just yet. I refuse to believe the trophies are impossible (at least not yet... ask me again in a month!). For an indie game the 3d models, lighting effects and materials aren't all that bad; It baffles me that someone would go to such lengths to simply make it impossible.

@MunterMule That level up trick is nice, didn't know about hitting DEL in the pre-maze. So this is definitely advancement .

 

Maybe the XP level is the key to getting further, because it has no purpose yet. I tested bullet damage but only up to level 7 and all damage was the same. With this trick we can go much further and test more stuff without too much grinding (hopefully). Exciting . Jumping further is a good theory, I will check that too if I go back to the game even though you already excluded it kinda.

 

Regarding the trailer stuff, it's the only reason I stay curious about this game because it shows content I've not seen in AZ2 or the Android version. I think the dev has a cheatcode (maybe in the game still) to get those bullets he has in the trailer, no way he played his own game to get that much bullets. Maybe there is a level selection cheat as well.

If delete seems to work pre-maze, I would almost say try every key pre-maze and see what the effects are

I actually discovered it by literally mashing my keyboard whilst it was loading - once I noticed something had happened I went back and systematically tried A LOT of keys, one by one, until I found it was DEL. So, I know a lot of them do nothing, but I cannot confirm there are not more possibilities - even combinations perhaps??? Also I'm not sure the DEL key is reserved just for the pre-maze, I think it might work whilst on main menu too. If it does, then is there a key combination that unlocks something special for the 3D maze?

After many months without playing this, and now coming back to more progress... it's really starting to look like the key to figuring this game out is gonna be some kind of cheat code entered via keyboard, if progress is even possible, that is. Especially since I really don't want to think that the gameplay in the trailer is faked, since that wouldn't be fun at all. Out of curiousity, is it even possible to datamine PS4 games? I'm guessing not, since i don't recall hearing of it before, but i'm starting to think it might be our only hope here.

You need a jailbroken PS4, but it's possible. People have done that for Bloodborne for example

hey guys, totally new here but I too have been reading up on this game recently and I wanna get in on helping to break it. what would be the next step to take? because if its finding a jailbroken ps4 I may be able to help, but I'm a total noob when it comes down to the actual logistics lmao
