Dr_Mayus' Prescription for Perfection

Congrats on your latest platinum Dr.Mayus

Thanks :D

Congrats on getting the War for Cybertron plat. That is an awesome accomplishment. I have played enough Transformers games to know how daunting they can be.

Thanks :D, yeah the game had a lot of insta-kill moments with the bosses but nothing that would get you frustrated. It sucks that people playing this nowadays won't get the same online experience I had since the servers are terrible now. For me though this ranks up there with Far Cry 3 as one of my favourite online trophies to go for (and Far Cry 3 has a lot of people hating on the online trophies as well)

#172-Fallout: New Vegas

This game wasn't as good as Fallout 3...not even close.

It was still fun for the most part but I found it to be a much more empty game and meaningless game. My motivation for going on my quest was to find the fucker who shot me in the head...I found him like 10 hours into the game and then all of a sudden they were like "actually here is a bunch of stuff to do and groups to join" and I was like "Why"  I don't care who controls Hoover Dam, why are all these groups trying to get a random courier to do their fighting for them. I mean there was no reason I should have been included in any of those other stories other than "the game would be over if you didn't". I don't know that was really weak story telling

As for the actual game I don't like how the Karma was changed to Rep instead. It was so dumb, because if I killed someone in a closed room with no witnesses my reputation went down. Why? No one saw me do it. Also if I wiped out an entire camp (no survivors) why does that affect my relationship in other camps. How do they know I did it?

Also I am tired in RPGs when you go back to old towns the people still say the same things. All hell is breaking loose but the morons in Goodsprings are still like "Well are you sticking around a little longer?" "No you idiot, I just killed one of the most powerful people in the world and am about to embark on an epic quest with Caesar's legion to take over the main power supply for this area. I only came back here because it is the easiest place to get health kits."

Another big problem was I didn't find exploring very fun. There were side missions to do but they were all kind of dull and exploring caves or vaults became to maze like with the poor map system and the extreme darkness.

Oh and the glitches were a lot worse than Fallout 3 or Skyrim. Game constantly froze, the frame rate dropped to 1 and I had to delete my game data. I would get stuck in mountains or bookcases so often I had to keep reloading my game

Anyways the gameplay was still fun, but this was  huge step down from Fallout 3 and it became a chore having to replay events again and again to get all the endings done (I didn't make the best save points so I had to do the Brotherhood one over and over).

#173-Super Exploding Zoo!

I have to be honest. I would never have played this game but Yuri kept talking about it and I needed to renew my Plus subscription anyways so I figured 'What the Hell' and gave it a shot.

While this is an easy platinum it is also a really fun game. I loved that it is a puzzle game with a lot of different solutions to it. It was fast paced, colourful and challenging at times. I kind of wished it forced players to actually finish the game as you don't need to complete the hatchery and you don't need to beat any levels in the 4th world. I still have about 5 levels to go back and beat and I will complete them (as it is a fun game) but I think a Beat All Levels trophies would have been better than Blow Up All Blades of Grass (which was really annoying to do).

The game did crash and freeze a lot...almost as much as Fallout New Vegas. That isn't a good thing and the developers need to figure that out.

Anyways thanks Yuri for the guide and helping with the online trophies and if you downloaded this from Plus and haven't played yet, check it out it is a lot of fun :)

Thanks Eff :D and of course I love Hannah, I mean that horse back riding game and the beanbag throwing game...AAA game play there ^_^

THanks about the reviews as well. I like writing my thoughts on what MY experience with a game is (I love when people tell me my opinion is wrong). I actually had a PM from a user (remain nameless) that got mad because he assumed I hated gaming and why do I keep playing stuff if I hate it. I was like 'no I love gaming and my reviews might be negative at times but that is because I want gaming to get better not stay the same." I never understand people who just except flaws in stuff instead of demanding that companies get better.

Oh well :D.

I absolutely love when people can't handle a personal review. On a "2 birds with 1 stone" kind of note; I get a kick out of it when people say, "I would never play Hannah Montana. It's so stupid and childish. I'd rather "___" than play that/have that on my profile." and I turn to them and say, "To be 100% honest, it was actually a pretty fun game." :awesome: TROLLOLOLOLO BIIIIIIITCH!

I actually thought about having it professionally framed in one of those sports jersey/platinum album frames and hung in my home as a badass reminder of how super cool beans mcgee I am. B)

The horse riding, all of the carnival games, the story and, c'mon, those concerts? Were they not frickin' intense? "Oh shit! I forgot how to helicopter! Oh no! The fist pump didn't register!" :jaymon:

You just go ahead and tell me you weren't humming along to like two or three of those songs by the end... <_<

SWEET NIBLETS!

Honestly I have played much worse games than Hannah Montana and there were some catchy songs (I will admit). I actually had fun platinuming it, more so because I made such a big deal out of it (with the videos and threads and contest between me and Drummer). If it wasn't for all of that I would have hated it a lot more. I also want to know how many more people than me and you that have it as 100 (I know of at least 1 other guy).

Well 200 should be interesting. It will be a harder platinum than HM...but I have a bad feeling it will be a lot worse :(

G...Good lord. See shit like that, where it takes me a good 10 seconds to scroll, and then I read 181 OUT OF 900, shit like that makes me not want to start Star Ocean xD Jeez dude. How many hours you got clocked now?

Well it is very misleading. I am actually at 250/900 Battle Trophies :P. Yeah I am 60 hours into the game and I would say I am half done my first playthrough (I think I don't really know how long this game is but I feel half done). I have done some of the longer BTs but there is still a long way to go :).

So...you want to join the group and make it #200? ^_^

Hehehe, maaaybe #300? Maybe. Wouldnt want to commit myself to such a close milestone xD

The BTs and the Creation trophy. There is some other stuff but a guide can solve those things (the 9 endings, missable quests/treasures etc) but there are two BTs that require you to kill 30000 enemies with 2 different characters while they are in your control (so an AI kills they get don't count) and kills don't carry over from playthrough to playthrough (and you have to do 3 playthroughs for all the trophies).

Also there are the item drop trophies where you have to get 255 items to drop but they have very rare drop rate and each character has their own 255 drop they need (so that is a good chunk of time) and then a bunch of other things like "kill 2 enemies in a row with exact damage) which means if an enemy has 1457 HP you have to kill him with an attack of 1457 and then do it again. If you get 1458 on the second enemy you have to start over.

So yeah...it will be a difficult platinum :). I am making it Trophy 10000 so I have a bit of time before I need to platinum it.

That might be the most insane thing I've ever read. Jeez what a gruelling plat. But if the game is enjoyable then I guess its not that bad, for the first hundred hours. The repetition sounds lethal though. Best of luck...like I said, maybe during all the hullabaloo I'll accidently purchase Star Ocean :P

It will be fun, but this is definitely a Laptop platinum. One where you watch shit on your laptop while going for it :P

Or do what I do: set other party members to manual control and set Edge to Auto, start a fight, let Edge kill everyone while playing the Vita, rinse and repeat :awesome:.

Impressive list, you can cross the unlocked BTs off if you want.

Actually I was doing that yesterday, sort of. I was jumping with Sarah with my left hand while playing my vita with my right :P. I then saw you posted an incorrect answer in the Trivia Page and I was going to reply saying you could guess again but I was out of hands to do it ^_^

No that is what I still need. I delete them as I get them.

Run Sackboy Run-100%

This was not fun. This is what is wrong with the gaming industry. I only completed this game because I wanted to write this up. This game is a huge blot of the LBP franchise and Sony should feel bad for making it.

There is nothing fun about this game and everything in it is there to mess with you and make you want to spend real money (WHICH YOU SHOULD NEVER DO). These FtP games are designed to lure suckers into spending money to make it easier because the game limits what you can do. The amount of money it would take to buy the most expensive real item could be spent on buying a real LittleBigPlanet game.

Anyways this game sucks and I deleted it from my Vita the second the last trophy popped.

#174-Velocity 2X

I think the plat title says it all. Yippee Kai Yay Motherfucker xD. Damn it feels good to be finish this one. Those last couple of levels started to hurt my fingers but when that Perfect pops up you feel awesome.

Now some of you may know Velocity Ultra is one of my favourite games of this generation and it won 2 awards at my Year End Awards (Best Platinum and Best Sleeper Hit) so my expectations were soaring for the sequel. For the most part it lived up to those expectations but then there were the platforming levels. They weren't bad...but they weren't great. If you are just playing the game they are a ton of fun to do but going for perfects made them kind of a chore. The thing I praised Velocity Ultra for was its extremely tight controls and the platforming level simply didn't have that. In the first game when you died it was your fault, but more often than not when I died in the a platforming level it was because the controls (mainly the warp) decided to get wonky.

The ship levels were still fantastic and I loved the addition of the second ship. I found it to be a ton of fun manoeuvring both ships and if they decide to make a third game I want more 2 ship levels and less platforming.

I also dug the boss battles. They made for really frantic levels as you had to hurry up and beat the boss in the time limit but you had to make sure you didn't die from about 1000 different things. My only complaint is there was no boss battle with 2 ships as that would have been awesome (maybe in the sequel)

This game gets a sold 8/10 from me, not as good as the first game but still a damn fine game.
