imskiller99
DISCLAIMER: I am writing this without having the game running as reference, so some words/names/actions/events might be incorrect. - Hire a bodyguards with the "auto-hire" option. Sensei will randomly join you as a bodyguard. (small percent chance) Tough Being Alone - Hire a bodyguard for the first time. Lonely - Hire a bodyguard 100 times Sensei Has Arrived! - Hire Sensei. - Use a bow on the first couple of floors, up to the first boss (Salvage Golem). For skeletons, grab (FORWARD + TRIANGLE), then press TRIANGLE again to fire an arrow to finish off the enemy. King of Arrows - Defeat 100 enemies with Bow Stance. - While unarmed and before the first boss (Salvage Golem), kill the dogs and snakes with kicks. You can chain stun dogs and snakes if you keep mashing SQUARE. King of the Brawl - Defeat 100 enemies with Unarmed Stance. - In the furnace, set it to create swords with low value materials. Collect many swords while in the dungeon. Fill out requests for all three factions. One Good Deed a Day - Complete a request for the first time. King of Kindness - Complete 100 requests. Open War - Advance the war between factions. - Sword Skill leveling. Each sword maxes out at level 50. Each time you level the sword, you may get a new skill. In the red floor dungeons (the optional harder dungeons you can access with red wells) in the third environment, the second red floor only has Debris Golems as enemies. Run around the area to aggro all of them, then bunch them up. Pick a weapon and start attacking. The higher your combo, the more weapon and character EXP you get. Once your sword reaches level 50, swap to a different sword. (Note: Light Attack > Light Attack > Light Attack > Dodge can be repeated indefinitely and removes the cool down between attack chains. Don't use this method against skeletons and some humanoids, they tend to block most of your attacks and will get many hits on you.) Upper Master - Learn all Upper Stance skills. Middle Master - Learn all Middle Stance skills. Low Master - Learn all Lower Stance skills. One-hand - Learn all One-hand Stance skills. Side Master - Learn all Side Stance skills. Iai Master - Learn all Iai Stance skills. Ninja Stance - Learn all Ninja Stance skills. - Money. After every boss floor, collect all the items, swords, and traps. Head to the next floor which will be the hidden blacksmith. Sell items you don't need, such as the traps and certain items (egg/gold egg/egg bomb) since they are uncommon drops and are wasting an item slot. Repair/upgrade swords as needed. - Online. Set online to on, but don't enable multiplayer. You can now kill the NPC Player for their money and items without much difficultly compared to a proper Human Player. STORY/GAME PROGRESS - To get passed floor 20 with the mysterious man, you need to pay off your debt and take Nanami down to that floor. You will now be able to go deeper into the dungeon (I assume you don't have to bring Nanami every run to access the new floors.) - Next Spoiler Find the heirloom sword (Using Nanami to appraise the swords for you in the Sword Room) then save up 500,000 to buy the Bethrothal Gift to marry Nanami. From then on you can go deeper into the dungeon. Edited February 25, 2020 by imskiller99 Additional information

Potentially you could place yourself in situation when "Open War" will be unobtainable on current playthrough, but it can be easily earned from beginning. DavySuicide
so thx for all these information I started the game yesterday and it is really cool. But a huge bummer is, that you can't coop with a friend. I bought this to play completely in coop and the random session thing is just a joke -.- Is there anyone with an estimated time for the platinum? I really hope no trophy is missable. Snakemaru
After my multiple runs and have reached the sword room, I have not found any Red wells that would lead me to the Hidden Village or any of the Secret Night Labyrinth Forest. How can I trigger the red wells? Update: So these mystery and red wells will only appear after getting the true ending of the game, and that is marrying Nanami. MyNameIs_Rainman
Anybody who has the plat can clarify a few things? I'm struggling to get a few of the nicknames, according the sources provided above they are: 17. Ruffian- Kick more than 10 times peaceful, not hostile, people. It is easier to perform on the surface, for the first couple of kicks in peacetime, passers-by usually do not grab the blades. 18. Apologist - prostrate ( ) 10 times. Apparently, only those cases when the hero tries to turn the situation in his favor, for example, apologizing to the NPC on the surface when he draws his sword or to Benya, if it is necessary to extend the term until the next tranche, are taken into account. The nickname may be bugged, but sooner or later, after the next apology is completed, it will fall out. 19. Humble - Prone to damage more than 20 times.Another buggy click. I had to clear all three floors of Ipponmatsu with this technique and only after that the condition was counted. On the counter at the end of the race, there were about 108 fall hits in the stats. - I've kicked people 42 times who were peaceful according to my ingame stats, and then prostrate to them afterwards, and nothing. - like mentioned above, prostrate way more than 10 times to a hostile npc, making them nonviolent. Will try to do it to beniya after missing payments - not sure what this means, prone to damage? Do I stay prostration and let myself get hit? Do I get knocked over and let myself get it? I've tried both and nothing so far. I think I have a gist of the blueprints I'm missing, swords I need, disguises etc. I know it's a grind but trying to focus on a few things at a time each run to make it less tedious. Any tips will help! *Edit: got the Apologist nickname, but the Ruffian one I'm still not getting, and I'm not sure about the Humble one either. Breaker is supposed to be break more than 1 sword, and that still hasn't popped up either. I'll just break a few swords in my next trip and see if that one finally pops up. MyNameIs_Rainman
I was able to get Ruffian. The in game text says kick 10 people, but my in game stats show that at 100 is when the nickname registered. I think these maybe some aren't bugged, but just shoddy translations are mostly to blame. However, Breaker may be bugged. I had to break six swords for it to register. Then again...could also be poor translation as it says "Broke over 1 swords" lol so idk. I need 1 nickname for 1000 nanami points which I will go for soon enough, and the 99 floor dungeon. As I was typing this, I got the #19 one : Humble - do a prostrate attack over 20 times. I've done plenty of those attacks so I think it needs to be 20 kills, but then again it might be buggy so just keep doing it until it pops up. I will try to keep this thread alive as I play lol hopefully it helps someone else who decides to play. The game isn't bad, and has a decent gameplay loop I'm enjoying. At least I'll get an ultra rare out of it!
Guardian_owl
Thanks for this thread, the game is on sale for a new low of 80% off on PSN ($6) and the gameplay looked interesting a dungeon crawler samurai game, but I hadn't found many guides on it. So consensus is kinda time grindy, but not really any missables?

I don't believe so, basically if you mess up stuff with the factions you can sort of gift/ignore the others and after a few cycles correct things. The gifting for Nanami can be a pain if it doesn't trigger. It's pretty grindy though and can get monotonous kinda quick. But overall, it's not so bad. I've played much worse lol
chisomo1206
Finding proper information on this game is hard but I tried to put everything I could find across various websites and speaking to those people who already have the platinum in one place in form of a trophy guide which just got published. Anyone that needs information will hopefully find what they need on the guide - I felt this game deserved a proper guide - it’s not perfect by any means but I hope it helps Edited April 18 by chisomo1206
