I've been working on Devil May Cry last weekend, I'm finding it quite challenging.. I've been quite distracted by some multiplayer games over the last month or so. My list has taken a back seat, So I'm not sure if I'll be able to get through this in 3 weeks. The plan is to give it some solid attention over the upcoming days. Sort of been feeling burned out on games lately. Maybe a result of the year we've had.

Completed sequence 8 and the next present day part of Assassin's Creed III before the big game today. From my past play, I remembered the last objective of the first part and all optional objectives of the final part of the sequence to be tougher than it was. Maybe I just lucked out or memory served me well. Either way, was nice not to deal with frustration. After the Chiefs got thoroughly trounced, needed some cheering up. So went ahead and did some side things. Probably will continue with the story after some rest.

Small update from me.

 

Since I was working on games that didn't qualified for this event I didn't made a lot of progress. However I did finish Sleeping Dogs 3(PS3). Got the platinum and will now work on the DLC in the week

Played some more Assassin's Creed II todayI. Did a few side things, including liberating New York from the Templars, completing the forts there, completing the Thieves Club, getting all the chests and trinkets in New York, finishing the Captain Kidd missions, worked on leveling my recruits some, and fully upgrading the ship. There's still stuff left undone, but decided to go ahead and continue with the story. I finished sequence 9 because it was winter and fuck winter, both in the game and in the real world.  I also did Nine Men's Morris for Original Gamer and used it to earn £500 in minigames. I used an online version to do so because it's trickier legit. My in game sync is now up to 71% currently.

Did some quick side things in AC3 and did the first mission of sequence 10 today. Then I had to go help someone out. What should've taken about an hour and a half took five. So that derailed my plans for today. When I got home, all I wanted to do was finish the Encyclopedia of the Common Man and call it a day. Tomorrow, I will focus on the naval missions initially, then go from there.

Update 16!

I thought I posted on Sunday, but apparently I forgot. So here's last week's update!

 

I finished Death Come True! It was really interesting. It’s one of those games where it’s a movie except you make the choices, and it’s written by the same person who wrote Danganronpa (meaning you should play it if you liked Danganronpa). Super well written story, I got to be really attached to the characters and I was just fascinated by the different things that kept happening. I also played more of Murdered and Killer Puzzle. Both still good games, though not much to say since they’re still a system stack and a reskin of a different finished game (in that order) for me.

 

I just noticed that all the games I played this week have death in the name in one form or another. Funky pattern there!

Got the plat for Ys IX and wow was that one amazing game.  Definitely glad I saved it for my 200th plat milestone because it so deserved a milestone in my opinion.  Everything just was quite well done.  It had some faults, but overall great story, characters and gameplay.  Only one game left now and 19 days to wrap it up now.

Didn't do much in AC3 today due to technical difficulties. I got all citizen missions done, did some work leveling my recruits, and did the second mission of sequence 10. My current sync in game is 77%.Hoping to begin the naval stuff tomorrow. I have the Benedict Arnold mission installed. I know it isn't required for the platinum, but still might do it anyway for completion's sake.

Beat DMC today, but nowhere near 100%. I feel like people's estimated time to 100% these games are based on if you have already mastered them when they came out... I think I'll play 2 and 3 next and reassess before the end of this challenge. I've been pretty busy with work and super tired in the evenings after getting home from work, cooking and cleaning that I haven't been playing a lot.

I made more progress in AC3 today. I completed all the naval and privateer missions, finished sequence 10 and the present day mission that followed, and maxed out all my Assassin recruits. Not a bad day overall. Currently at 89% completion in game, so not that much left to do.

Minor update:

 

Since the last update, I've gotten from 8 to 21% in AC Valhalla. School and work has slowed me down greatly. ? To keep sanity, I've been doing all the requirements in a location while the story is gong on in that area. I'd much rather do this than what some people do... I can't believe people go through the story then do all the side activities at the end. I've heard horror stories lmaoooo.

I finished the Boston Brawlers and collected all the almanac pages and crafted their related inventions in Assassin's Creed III. I also racked up my wallet so I had more money than I can spend in game. No real reason...just did it because I could.  My current sync is 95%. Hoping to platinum in the next few days. After that, will go straight into the Tyranny of King Washington DLC.

I have 100% completion in my Assassin's Creed III file. I was a bit worried since there was a blank bar on the DNA tracker, but once I finished the final Frontiersmen mission, I got the trophy as expected. For all the work, the damn thing should be a  I also got the pivot trophy. Why not the platinum, you ask? I have to win Fanorana to get it and anyone who has platted AC3 knows how difficult that can be. So platinum tomorrow. Now that I 100% the game, did Benedict Arnold for completion sake.

This week I didn't focus on my listed games as I initially planned as I had impulse to play more casual (more casual than Atelier, lol) games as I haven't been able to sleep well enough to concentrate on anything with a story line. Just AK again. 180 Riddler trophies and then NG+ to go for the plat. I knocked out some of the easy DLC trophies to get the completion % up, too.  2 weeks to go! I'm limping to the finish line, but holding out hope I can still knock out a couple more games on my list.

The Assassin's Creed III platinum is mine!  Whoever thought of Fanorona should be thrown off a cliff! The app game I chose was useless, couldn't find one online that worked. So I looked on YouTube and found a video guide. Took a couple tries for the AI to act the way it did in the video, but it worked.

Made some progress this weekend! 100% DMC 2, I found the DMC 2 much more enjoyable than the first game. Everyone says that DMC 3 is awesome and where the series really picks up. So looking forward to starting that this week! I really should go back to messenger too, otherwise, I'll be rusty and the game will be harder than usual. I'm kind of concerned about Dollhouse. From my understanding, it might be kind of hard to get the platinum these days as it requires online and not many people are playing.

Time for a final update to wrap up my challenge. I enjoyed what Immortals Fenyx Rising had to offer. The variation of puzzles and vaults were a highlight. Despite being fairly big (I think my game time was round 55hrs), it never really felt repetitive which is always good. I'm not sold on the whole "find your own landmarks with the rumble" though. Saying that, it was different and not too bad. I'll tackle the DLC when it doesn't cost what it currently does. Life is Strange 2 kind of ran out of steam a little for me which isn't a bad thing because I thoroughly enjoyed episodes 1-3 after such a strong start. I expected some characters to reappear but they didn't and my ending was a little deflating but overall it was a good play. I even heard one of the songs from it on How To Get Away With Murder the other night, nice. I'll play another LiS if one gets made.

As always, I've had a lot of fun with the event. Managed to get one platinum each month (just). I usually do a little end of event awards for myself (most memorable, most satisfying, most enjoyable etc) but I've completed Persona 5 in this one. My end of year highlights tell me it was the game I spent the most time on at 158 hours. What a delightful masterpiece that was!

I haven't joined the Spring event yet but I will do soon! Got some games ready to go for that one, some inspired by you guys. Hope everyone's doing ok ✌️

Today, I finished two of the three episodes of The Tyranny of King Washington and 100% synced both. Love the animal powers in this DLC. Tomorrow, I will do The Redemption and be done with Assassin's Creed III. Still not 100% what I'll play next...or what my spring list will be for that matter.
