  1. Believe me, I'd absolutely love to just take your word for it. I'm sure you're a really smart guy, and worked really hard to get where you are. If you worked for Sony since the inception of the PSN infrastructure, just say so. If you haven't, then you're just taking educated guesses like the rest of us.That said, if they can somehow work trophies and live game streaming into the PSN infrastructure, I find it hard to believe a name change is off limits. If that's just "the way it is" I'd call that infrastructure flawed and speaks something about the people building it... Not worth defending at the very least.
  2. That's pretty cool you can hide games now, but everything I do on here is for me lol. As long as I can see them, they'll bug me. Until they're platted, over 50% or gone. I kind of agree about using the account name I prefer though. Who knows. Maybe I'll re-download those digital games (Wipeout, Pixeljunk, Dead Nation, etc) and find out I actually kinda like 'em now and won't mind going for the plat/100%. Re-buying FFXIII and Smackdown vs Raw might be a tough sell though. Any reason?
  3. So I have two accounts. They are very similar, I started the new account just as an excuse to replay/replat the Uncharted games/others and to purge my profile of games I never really intended to play anymore. I'm kind of getting the itch to go back to my original account though. Mostly because I like the name more... but I wouldn't mind re-platting a few select games I've gotten since I moved on from it lol. First Account: https://psnprofiles.com/Dreakon13 Pro's: - I much prefer the name. Dreakon has been my username on everything for over a decade, and 13 is my favorite number. - It'd be a good excuse to play Uncharted 3 again, since it's only on my newer profile lol. Amongst a few others. Con's: - There are so many games I really didn't like. Wipeout HD, Dead Nation, Final Fantasy XIII, Smackdown vs Raw, Pixeljunk Shooter... permanent blemishes. - Going with that last one, I really hated God Of War III (maybe I'd enjoy it more if I didn't start it on the hardest difficulty?). - LittleBigPlanet 2 is platted, LittleBigPlanet 1 isn't. Not only do I not own LBP1 anymore, but it's the tougher plat lol. Newest Account: https://psnprofiles.com/Dreakon139 Pro's: - The games associated are much more appealing overall (I smarted up). - I can put LittleBigPlanet 1 behind me. It's not a bad game, I just much prefer LBP2 and I actually own it lol. - My awesome (to me) three day Uncharted 1 plat. Con's: - Considerably less personal attachment, because of the name. If someone held a gun to your head and forced you to pick one to make your primary account... which would you choose? Being who you are, but knowing what you know about me. I kind of feel like it'd make more sense to go with the one that has the name I like more... since I can't change it. But I actually do care about having a lot of low percentage games I dislike marking up my profile. Let the flaming commence, for caring about this lol. EDIT: To simplify things, I'm basically asking... what's more important to you? The name of the profile, or the games on it?
  4. It only works because there's demand for it. They wouldn't make money off of it otherwise, no matter how greedy they are. People want it. If people want it, it's a big deal. Microsoft noticed, and capitalized. Sony hasn't and doesn't plan to. Why is that a good thing for anyone?
  5. That's all well and good, but it's nothing we know for certain. And that doesn't explain why it isn't a "big deal". There was enough demand for Microsoft to implement it, technical logistics aside.
  6. I dislike my name. Unfortunately, the two I would want (and would gladly restart my trophy collection to get) are both taken, Dreakon and Dreakon13. The latter of which is actually an old account of mine... but I prefer the games on this one lol. I'm complicated... I suppose one could ask why Microsoft would implement something like this if all this were true.
  7. Looks like I'm going to try and marathon The Walking Dead (game) on Saturday. Wish me luck!

I've already played through it on PC, so I know what I'm in for. I loved it the first time around, have to see if it's the same impact the second time.

  8. The fighting looks a little too flash-gamey to warrant a full $60 purchase. That being said, it really does look and play like a South Park episode... and I approve of that. I'll probably pick it up at some point.
  9. Mafia. Bioshock is a close second. Borderlands is a distant third.
  10. Played through Season One on the PC but just rebought a physical copy (like I always wanted) on the PS3 the other day when I saw it for ten bucks at Gamestop. I don't have any other interesting Halloween plans, so maybe I'll marathon it this weekend on honor of Season Two and the holiday.
  11. It's not bad to grab the middle of the disc like that? Is that how you hold your discs? Dumb question I know lol.
  12. Love the Trine games, have them both on PC. Wouldn't mind getting them on console too just for the comfortable couch play.
  13. How about you just do an HD re-release of Shenmue I and II with trophies, for crying out loud. You know we want it. And I'll take Shenmue III as well, but I'm not holding my breath on that one.
  14. Hi guys, maybe it's a dumb question. I got the GTA V bundle for my new PS3 and it's some new top-loading model. Never seen it before. Loading it is simple enough, but taking the disc out seems like a pain unless I'm missing something. The one side is open so I can use that to kinda pop the disc off the spool, but the disc is completely surrounded on all other sides so theres no where to actually grip it. Anyone understand what I mean? Maybe I'm just weird because I always grab my discs from the side (was always taught to never touch the middle). Should I use my thumb on one side and use another finger to grip in the middle, and lift? Lol, anyways... random thought. Appreciate any advice!
